I can’t believe that I drive by here and never stopped in shame on me. They have hands down the best bacon I have had in a diner. The food is fantastic the service is friendly and the diner itself is very down home feeling great place

The Bacon Barn is a small family run restaurant that serves breakfast all day. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is delicious. You get great portions for the price. You need to try the different Bacons they’re excellent!

POSITIVE: Hostess and wait staff so nice! NEGATIVE: Breakfast disappointing, given the buildup about the bacon. We expected something akin to the«Food Channel» — however, bacon was almost tasteless and breakfast just ok. Even bought«bacon» car fresheners — barely any smell. SUGGEST: Place has possibilities; we are locals and therefore like supporting the local establishments.

My husband and I had breakfast at The Bacon Barn this morning. We had two servers who waited on us and both were really friendly and attentive. The coffee was good and the menu quite extensive. I had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich(can’t remember the name on the menu), which came with melted cheese and home fries on a bun. I also added a side of the home fries. The home fries were excellent: nice and crispy. The sandwich was also very good. I just wish I had changed the egg to be over medium rather than over hard as it comes normally. My husband has the poe-fect breakfast. It comes with a ridiculous amount of food, all of which was good. The restaurant itself really leaves a lot to be desired. It needs a serious facelift as it is pretty rough around the edges.

I am giving this place a 3 star rating as an overall score to account for the good food and fairly poor service. The food was solid. It’s not fancy but solid standard diner fare with a bacon twist. The service however left something to be desired. When we arrived(a party of 5 for lunch) the place was pretty empty(like 5 other people there). We started getting concerned when we asked about the status of our lunch after 30 minutes. We were told by the waitress that she«JUST put it in. It IS a big order.» Our order of 2 burgers and 3 sandwiches took 50 minutes to arrive. The waitress was fine and fairly friendly but service was SLOW. Also, she didn’t inform us that the«special» bacon flavors cost extra. The extra charge was minimal but we should have been informed before ordering either by the waitress or written in the menu. So– the upshot is– if you have PLENTY of time, then come here. If not– pass this one by.

I’ve been going to the Bacon Barn for the last couple of months now. They’ve become my go to spot for breakfast. Aside from their DELICIOUS food, they also have excellent customer service. They’re friendly, accommodating, and truly care about their customers. They can be busy or slow, they still treat each customer with attention and care. I’m a big supporter in small businesses, and I absolutely support this one. I highly recommend the Bacon Barn, and hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

First visit last weekend, for a late breakfast. Cute inside, clean, with friendly servers. Menu is plenty varied, and while many offer«stacks of bacon», what we got was the equivalent of maybe 3 pieces of crunchy, broken bacon pieces. Tasty, but«stack» is a significant over-reach. Hubby enjoyed his meal, one of those«2 of everything» type deals. I got a breakfast sandwich and did not enjoy it. The roll was squishy, not toasty/grilled. The aforementioned bacon was good but not dominant, and while it’s supposed to be on home fries, there were like 6 cubes of them. I think it was $ 7, and not worth it. That said, the menu is plenty varied and I suspect I could order ‘better’ next time. And there will be a next time, so I’ll update after that ;-)

The service staff is friendly and remembers is every time we come in. I love the food and the specials are creative. The décor is cute and makes me feel as if I am in an old style diner which is appreciated in NH. I will continue to come here on a regular basis when I want a good meal and friendly staff.

Good: staff nice and attentive; we tipped for good service Bad: breakfast was mediocre. For a place that promotes bacon(which we love) we expected something along the lines of the Food Channel bacon places; instead bacon was below average and somewhat tasteless. Even bought a couple of bacon air fresheners for cars(2.00 each) which smelled like bacon only if you put it to your nose. You even have to pay extra for real maple syrup(a first for me here in NH). Disappointed but not trying to be nasty. We are locals and hope this place does better.

Very disappointed. I was told the home fries were deep fried potatoes. I’m sure they were frozen, not fresh. The sausage and bacon tasted like they were pre-cooked then reheated in the microwave. The atmosphere and the service are below average. With all the breakfast places to choose from this would be my last choice. Will not return and would not recommend the Bacon Barn to anyone.

Love the Bacon Barn. My wife and I usually have the Hash Bennie, which is always delicious, last time out I opted for a Pastrami & Swiss Omelet which was yummy & huge. We particularly enjoy the crispy hash browns, where most breakfast places only offer home fries. Service is exceptionally friendly, and the atmosphere and décor is greatly improved over the Roadhouse, which previously occupied the location. Highly recommended!

Went there yesterday for breakfast. Overall, good but not outstanding. Service was attentive and friendly. Food — an omelet and a stack of pancakes, each with a side of bacon — was cooked and brought to the table promptly. Omelet was tasty and not overcooked or greasy. The pancakes were fluffy and moist. Both were very generous portions. I was disappointed with the bacon — for a place that calls itself the«Bacon Barn» I expected some really good, high quality, meaty bacon. Sadly the bacon was the same unexceptional, paper thin bacon you get at any diner. The plates and utensils need some work — I felt like I was eating from school cafeteria plates. While the food was good, the hyper-cheap plates really took something away from the experience. Lose the cheap plates and upgrade the bacon and this place would be worthy of an extra star or two.

The Bacon Barn opened this week in the former Route 28 Roadhouse in North Londonderry. Poe The Pig is the mascot! This breakfast and lunch restaurant(formerly known as Friends Diner) relocated from its other location in Allenstown(part of my commute). The restaurant itself is very casual which offers full service dining and takeout. The dining room has tables, booths, and counter seating, flatscreenTV, and black & white checker pattern floors. Free WiFi is offered here(with password). The Bacon Barn serves up both breakfast and lunch menus all day. The breakfast offerings include egg dishes, bennys, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, waffles, peanut butter cup waffles, corned beef hash, sausage gravy & biscuits, and breakfast sides. Most breakfasts $ 5.25-$ 8.99. The lunch offerings include sandwiches, wraps, burgers, hot dogs, salads, soups, entrees(haddock, country fried steak, steak tips, chicken), and lunch sides. Most lunches $ 8.25-$ 12.99. Kids menu available and daily specials are offered here. I stopped here for breakfast recently so I could update«Friends Diner» now called The Bacon Barn at its new digs. I was able to seat myself and the waitress arrived promptly with menu and offered coffee($ 1.75), which was good. For breakfast, I ordered the Barnyard Omelette($ 8.99), which had onions, green peppers, mushrooms(preserved), deli ham, & lots of American cheese folded with thin sheets of egg(the tomatoes were missing). The hash browns were very good, which consisted of shredded potatoes grilled nice and crisp on the outside. The wheat toast was buttered, Smuckers preserves on the table. Overall, the food tasted and was very fillings. The service was very prompt and my food was served in under 10 minutes with a half full dining room. The waitress offered refills on the coffee walking by. I would stop in again for the lunch menu on my next visit. (3.60÷5.00)
