Well Done Home Solutions

Please beware of Well Done Home Solutions, AKA Remodeling Direct. Barry Tucker placed an order for a SunSetter awning for us and was prepaid $ 2,000. After a follow up phone call six weeks after the order was initiated and check was cashed, He told us the awning was ordered and would be in shortly. After multiple calls later, he conceded that he did not place the order as he had told us earlier and that he had been ill. Furthermore, he did not have our $ 2,000 to refund our prepayment, but said he’d get it to us asap. That was in September of 2014. After additional calls and threatening legal action, he sent a money order for $ 500. He voice mailed later that the remainder is forthcoming. It is now July, 2015 and no additional funds have been returned to us. Since learning more about this man, I have read «stay clear advisories» about him on Unilocal,the BBB site, live rip off
and other locations. Please beware. I truly thought he had more integrity than this.

In my opinion, this is the most unethical and unprofessional company I have ever done business with. I’m distraught I have to leave 1 star becuase there is not an option for 0 stars or negative stars. I’m not going to write in length all of the issues encountered with this company as we are seeking legal action, however, I did want to make aware to anyone that is considering doing business with Barry M. Tucker of Well Done Home Solutions/​Remodeling Direct to strongly consider other avenues as there are many legit and ethical companies in the Chicagoland area. Again, PLEASE BE AWARE WHEN DOING BUSINESS WITH WELL DONE HOME SOLUTIONS/​REMODELING DIRECT!!!
