I am working my way through the whole menu because I’ve been so pleased with the tried and true falafel, Now I want to try everything!

I’ve been to just about every middle east restaurant in the Chicago metro area as well many in other states and this one is my absolute favorite hands down. Everything on the menu is great including their own special falafel recipe. My personal favorite meal is the kefta kabob entrée and the delicious, chunky baba ghannouj. It is my most favorite meal of any restaurant that I’ve ever dined at period. Very authentic, superior quality and taste.

Yesterday was my first time here great experience with great food. When I came today a completely different experience. The young girl in front was so rude ignored me for 5 minutes as I stood there and then tried to take the customer behind me until I mentioned how she was ignoring me! I could have been a regular but we will see there are a lot of food places around here

Their lunch special add chicken kabob is the best deal in the area. It’s literally a feast for less than $ 9!

Try the lunch special. Worth every penny and beef shawarma entrée is really good plus they have an awesome condiment bar of hot sauces and garlic sauce!

My favorite place! Amazing service! Exceptional food! Isa the owner is so nice. My favorite order is the combo platter. My mother and I love to come here together. The Persian tea is also delightful to have after eating. Definitely recommend this place. Everything tastes fantastic.

The only thing I get from here is the Shish Kabob platter, it is the most tender shish kabob I’ve ever had in my life. Everything else is good too, but I’m not a big fan of the other dishes. When in doubt get the shish kabob platter and make sure to dumb some of their amazing garlic sauce on it. I’m never disappointed when I choose that option. Staff is very friendly and sometimes they hook it up with free tea.

My aunt took me here for lunch when I visited Chicago, and the food did not disappoint! The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was affordable and delicious. The serving was pretty big too. I had to bring it home for dinner and it still tasted good.

This Lombard location is conveniently located on Roosevelt Ave on my way home. Great spot to pick up dinner on late working nights. I called ahead and placed an order with a friendly voice on the other line. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Perfect timing for me to wrap up my last minute reporting and get the car and my belly warmed up. Upon arrival my order was hot and ready. For 3 meals, my bill was under $ 30, averaging $ 10 a meal. I ordered the combination dinner plate, a steak sish kabob dinner and a gyros plate with fries. It came with hummus and warm pita bread. It was about a 15 minute drive home and dinner was still warm. I was happily surprised with the take out portions. My hubby finished his sish kabobs faster than I can say hummus! Every entrée was delicious, tender and fresh. After that meal, I needed a couple hours to belly dance through a nap. Shukran!

Excellent Mediterranean food at an honest price. Jerusalem features great falafel and fresh Mediterranean-style entrees, but where they really shine is their meat. Their sampler items and beef shawarma items are the best in Dupage county. The atmosphere is clean and friendly albeit a little plain. The staff is always polite. If you want speedy, fresh, made-to-order, authentic Mediterranean cuisine on a reasonable budget, do yourself a favor and come here.

This place used to be THEPLACE for falafel and Middle eastern food. However, over the past few months the quality has been inconsistent. The plates have gotten smaller and smaller. The pita is crumbly. My husband and I are regulars and come in at least once a week. The past few times they have served us on very small plates. You can barely eat out of. This last time we went the food was cold. When we looked over to see what other people were eating, they had the big played like before. So I don’t understand why every time I come in they serve me a small plate. Definitely disappointed. Used to be my favorite restaurant.

Their lamb kabob entrée is so tasty I’ve haven’t had one like this since New York. Their meat is super tender and the Gyro is great as well. Their delivery was super fast What surprised me was how amazing their fries are actually!!! Only downside is if your placing your order online and want to make special changes its usually ignored so make sure you call.

Jerusalem Café is a café with great service and decent enough food. I’ll be honest, I didn’t love it as much as everyone else does but it was A-OK. I had the chicken schwarma dinner entrée which was huge! I also had the grape leaves appetizer. Both were good, the meat was a bit dry, I also found the grape leaves not to have quite enough flavor, but it was all just fine & dandy. I wish I could say more on the meal but nothing amazing stood out to me. Sadly, I don’t think I will be going back as there are simply too many other delicious places in the area.

Was driving by when I decided to check this place out to crave my hunger. You bet I made a good choice! Their hummus is out of the world. It’s creamy, fresh, yummy and looks good too! Ordered a small hummus and didn’t know even small would be so much. Ordered a portion of pita bread –about 4 – 5 pieces(huge). Soft, warm, freshly baked I guess. Had the falafel sandwich and it was just right! Falafel were superb, crispy and crunchy between the warm pita bread with freshly cut cucumbers, tomatoes and yoghurt(sauce) Also ordered French fries for my mother who doesn’t enjoy middle eastern food, which were also fried wel to perfection and the quantity was perfect! Do not forget to add on some red chilli and green chilli dip which is kept at a buffet counter. They are just amazing. Would surely recommend and come back again for more falafel!

Several of us came here for lunch. The place was close to Glen Ellyn, and fairly easy to get to — though we didn’t have to turn left onto Roosevelt, which could be a challenge during rush hour. The place was clean and menu fairly easy to figure out. I ordered a Beef Kabob Sandwich combo, with fries and a fountain drink. Paying was easy and quick as well. The food was excellent! The beef was well flavored, tender and hot. I should have asked for some sauces to put on it to add some heat, but otherwise a nicely done sandwich. The fries were also excellent. Hot and slightly crisp without being overdone. The fountain selection was meager, however. Try a tea if you don’t like the standard Coke products. Service, as it was, was friendly and efficient. Beyond ordering, the same woman brought our food as it was ready and that was it for interaction. Other customers were equally friendly and courteous, so the overall experience was very good. This may end up being on our regular rotation for lunch.

The hubs, son, and I have been to Jerusalem Café several times now. We have dined in and carried out. Love it. This place replaces Pita House on my go to list for shawarma! There green spicy sauce and garlic mayo are excellent. My son, who is a picky eater, loves the yellow rice. So delicious! This is the cure for not feeling like cooking for dinner!

So amazingly awesome. Veggies are fresh. Food is outstanding with a great balance of textures and flavors. And I still love the little bar of accoutrements!

Let’s get the negative stuff out of the way right away: lady at the counter not so helpful, awkward conversation overheard with what sounded like her boss, not enough plates passed out with food, no place to put dirty plates and dishes. Now on to the good! Cheap prices, good falafel pita, baba was pretty good, and they had unlimited amounts of toppings you could grab for no extra charge. Hummas wasn’t very good… But the baba made up for it. All the meat was really tasty as well. Combo plate is a large amount of good and gives you a test of each meat. This place was pretty solid. I’ll be coming back!

Let’s say mediocre is the best word I’ll use to describe my experience. Came here a few days ago for a quick, last minute dinner. Got the lamb kabob sandwich. It wasn’t necessarily nasty. But it wasn’t amazing either. It was just ok. The flavors were so-so, nothing capitalizing. The lamb was in huge chunks and obviously placed throughout the sandwich. Therefore, you had some bites that were full of lamb others that were just straight lettuce. Would’ve been better if they were cut smaller so it could be spread through the sandwich better. The falafel was good though, well seasoned. I’m kind of so-so about coming back. For what it cost, I don’t see it as worth it. I’d rather travel 10 minutes to I Dream of Falafel if I want some good Mediterranean food.
