SacTo MoFo’s are fun and I’m glad to see them in my home town now that we’ve moved closer. I was missing them. I’ve been to Carmichael and Elk Grove MoFo’s and there’s always a ton of people and long lines, I liked that this one had less people and shorter lines. However, I like that there was some activities at the Carmichael one and not really any of this one. But there were lots of trucks like Smokers Wild BBQ, Drewski’s, Krush Burger, the Sweet Spot, and many more. I will definitely be back and I’m looking forward to the SacTo MoFo next month here in Galt.

The Sacramento Mobile Food Truck(Sacto MOFO) events have been going strong for years now. This particular event was held on Sunday, June 28th at the Hutchins Street Square in the heart of Lodi, Ca from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. And, according to the SACTOMOFO website, this event is calendared to be held every 4th Sunday of the month at this same location for the next several months. I arrived around 7:00 pm and the trucks, the band, the awesome 97 degree weather and the event were still going strong. I didn’t get pictures of each and every food truck but, I did manage to jot down a few of the names who were in attendance: Drewski’s Gameday Grill. Green Papaya Food Truck. North of the Border Taco Truck. Hefty Gyros. Caribbean Fusion Food Truck. Krush Burger. Mamas and the Tapas. Happy Cow Ice Cream. Have you found the Sweet Spot. And I can’t leave out the jammin’ reggae sounds coming from the band Simple Creation who were still rocking the crowd of about 400 plus. I sampled Garlic Fries from Drewski’s Gameday Grill. A Gyro from the Hefty Gyros truck and I got an order of Jerk Chicken for the road from the folks at the Caribbean Fusion truck. I thought the portions vs the cost for the garlic fries were a bit too small but, they are some awesome fries. Crunchy with LOTS of garlic. When I ordered my #1 Gyro from the folks at Hefty Gyros, it took less than 2 minutes to get my order. It was fresh, tasty and very portioned between the meat and veggies and the pita bread was fresh and hot when it got to my hands. Lastly, after getting home, I opened my Jerk Chicken. It was well seasoned and plentiful. On the side was a fresh mix of cold slaw, fresh papaya and corn salad. Overall, this is an awesome event you don’t want to miss. No hassles, no hustles and most of all, NODRAMA.
