Large size pizza was huge! It was wonderful to eat. Definitely would eat there again. Cons: have to pay for soda refills! And a bit pricey.(But the pizza WAS really good) Waitress was really nice too.

If your going for pizza it’s VERY good, but the attitude of the employees are not welcoming. Won’t waist my time again. Thanks.

Sat down and waited 10 minutes while waitresses wandered around and chatted with the locals. When a waitress finally wandered over she acted very inconvenienced to have to speak with us. This joint definately is not working for tips.

Absolutely the best dine-in pizza establishment in Lodi. The pizzas are consistently excellent, and the crust is a perfect combination of being crunchy and chewy and isn’t too heavy. The toppings and cheeses always taste fresh, and salad portions are quite ample. It can get busy at times, but the staff are always attentive. If you want a great dine-in pizza experience, Ricks is the place.

In Lodi this week on business and am honestly not sure how this place has such positive reviews. A group of us ordered a New York style pie but were were greeted with a pizza so thick it would have put the deepest Chicago Style to shame. It was topped with mediocre ingredients seemly thrown on by someone who was in too much of a hurry to care(made all the more discouraging by the fact the pizza took nearly an hour to arrive) and it had an overall bland flavor. Not terrible, but hardly worth the wait and only marginally better than a frozen pizza, except I probably wouldn’t have eaten the frozen pizza until at least the crust was fully cooked… As a frequent business traveler to Lodi, I’ve discovered several amazing restaurants and was hoping to add Rick’s to that list but could not in good conscious recommend this place if you had a dollar and vending machine: At least then the disappointment in the quality of your meal would be expected.

Really rude customer service, I’ll spend my money where businesses appreciate their customers and treat them kindly and with respect. As a single mother with one income I treated my daughter and I to a pizza on mother’s day. It’s just that, a treat for us. We don’t have money to eat out every weekend and this weekend when we did, I gave my money to Rick’s. I called and asked if they had any specials, the response was«I don’t know, maybe if you look online.» umm okay. I was driving and couldn’t check but called back and ordered from them anyway. I went in to pick up my pizza, the person who took my money was nice enough and said that someone else had to make my salad. So me and my toddler sat at the counter to wait. Then, I am assuming the same rude teenager from before came out and plopped the salad on top of my pizza and walked away. She did not even acknowledge us — say here you go, sorry for the wait. Absolutely nothing, acted like we were invisible. Incredibly rude. Rick’s pizza should pay for their employees to take a class in customer service, In contrast, we also got an ice cream from Baskin Robbins next door. The girl here was so nice to my daughter and I, treated us like people which was nice after having such a sour taste in my mouth from Rick’s.

Ricks is, in my opinion, the most consistently good pizza place in Lodi. Crust/dough is neither too airy or too dense, the sauce has the perfect level of acidity that a red sauce should have and the toppings are piled about as high as you’d reasonably want them to be. The place is always clean but they’re good for take out or delivery as well.

My family & I went for a walk along with our service dog Leo. We decided to stop by Ricks Pizza for some lunch and sat on their outside tables. After being served our waters and our order being taken a rude employee comes out and asks if our dog is a service dog and we said yes and she said she needs proof. One, she can’t ask to be shown proof and two why wait until we are sat down and waited on to come out and tell us we need to leave? Pretty stupid if you ask me. So long Ricks pizza 0 stars.

Solid establishment that makes great pizza. The owner is on top of his game. I give Ricks 4 stars instead of 5 because with the 7 or so people behind the counter and only one family was having dinner there. With all the horseplay it’s really hard to pick up a pizza.

Best pizza! My husband and myself walked there this evening to have dinner and try it. We ordered the deluxe pizza. It was perfect! The dough and cheese is the best part. You can tell it is extremely fresh. Also the ranch is pretty great! The staff is really awesome and nice. Service was quick and you didn’t have to wait too long for your food or drinks. We will for sure use them as our go to Pizza place from now on!

Went for pizza with a group of colleagues. Pizzas were ordered on three sep tabs. Mine was obviously forgotten. I’m very patient so before asking I waited until I saw another order come out knowing it was ordered way way after mine. I asked the waitress about my pizza and she said oh yeah they said it was still back there? Not knowing what that meant I waited a while longer, I went ahead and walked up to the front to ask. With a puzzled look the order taker points to the right and says it’s right her, as if I won a prize. Okay went back to my seat, my group was already getting up to leave. Yes, it was that long of a wait. Still no pizza for about 10 more min. Bill was basically slapped on the table for me? Wow, okay. Good pizza but not great, bacon tasted /seemed stale. 2 stars for not sure what but maybe just a mishap off night for them.

Best Pizza! We just moved to Lodi and this was one of the places were we told to try. Where have you been all our lives! Pizza is amazing. This is the type of pizza you crave. Great service. And everyone is so friendly. You wont want to eat pizza from anywhere else.

Came by a few weeks ago. Forgot what I ordered, but I remembered the pizza was good. Crap load of toppings. Nice big chunks of black olives. Yum Will definitely swing by the next time I’m in Lodi.

I’m going to go with 3 stars. The pizza quality is good and I really like the atmosphere. It reminds me of the neighborhood pizza joint my family would go to while I was growing up. The downside is that the people behind the scenes have screwed something up every time. Wrong sized pizza, wrong toppings, throwing away the food that was supposed to go in a to go box…

Though a bit on the pricey side I really prefer this place to any other in Lodi! Before moving here, I lived in Stockton. My go to places for pizza there were Michael’s and David’s. I was pretty bummed when we moved because I knew I probably wouldn’t be driving all the way back to Stockton just for pizza so imagine my surprise(and happiness!) when I found out the owner of this place was related to the other two. I called in an order for a medium People’s Choice on a busy Friday night and it only took about twenty five minutes before it was ready. That was fine since I chose to drive and pick it up anyway. I loved the atmosphere of this place! The decoration and the patio seating were very appealing and cool looking. At the register I was promptly helped even though it was incredibly busy that night. I waited no more than two minutes for the girl to ring me up, have me pay, and hand me my pizza. The taste was great! It was very comparable to the other two places in Stockton. I always ordered the People’s Choice from Michael’s as well. One thing I noticed that was done differently by Rick’s is the sausage pieces. They were gigantic, almost the size of mini meatballs! There were about two on each slice of pizza and I actually enjoyed this little difference, it added sort of a personal touch to their version of the pizza. I’m looking forward to going back for another visit, this time to probably eat there out on their patio section. Great family atmosphere, service, and pizza, definitely recommended.

I worked in pizza for more than two years and I’m fairly critical when I try pizza places that are new to me. Generally, there are few places across the country that make pizza I would really want to have again. When I saw this restaurant show up, I was surprised. New York-style pizza, if it means New York City-style pizza, isn’t great, unless you consider a place like Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn(and a satellite location in North Jersey) and maybe one other. I wanted to try something better than I’ve tasted in California. The restaurant seemed to be in a small strip mall in northwestern Lodi, in an area I’d never been. I’ve driven 2 hours for a great breakfast – when I was on the road – so it wasn’t a big deal. It seemed as though this strip mall wasn’t very active. They had some seating outside the restaurant stall, but inside the entryway. They had written and confirmed to seat ourselves. While we were looking at the menu, a waitress came to ask us about our drinks. Thankfully, they had Mountain Dew, and surprisingly in the same place, Dr. Pepper. Refills are not free and they use a good deal of ice. As we looked at the menu, I was mentioning no personal pizzas, and the waitress confirmed that they didn’t have personal pizzas after 4 p.m. We ended up with a 12 inch pizza – half Rick’s Deluxe Combo for me, and half All Meat Combo for my buddy, which ended up for $ 16.25, as it would be if each was a full 12 inch pizza. That’s similar to Mountain Mike’s and about $ 4.00 cheaper than Round Table. It took a while, but when it arrived, it looked really good. The first thing I noticed was the manufactured feel of the crust – made by machine. It tasted fine, but the texture screamed machine. The ingredients were fine and the whole thing seemed to be baked fine, but the bottom was wet for some reason but not soggy. I would rather return here for pizza than the chain restaurants I’ve seen so far. I’m not sure what the NY-style is. I’ve not seen linguiça outside of Northern California but I haven’t been to every pizza place in the country. That added an odd taste to my half of the pizza that I’ve avoided elsewhere.

I have to say… this was one of the best pizza’s I have eaten. I don’t even like pizza all that much, so that’s saying a lot. But I have been eating it a lot since my bf loves it, and I’d say Rick’s New York Style Pizza and Artichokes in NY are the best pizza! CONS — bit on the pricier end. About $ 15 – 20 for a whole pizza(small), but for 2 people we couldn’t finish it. It was 1 foot! It was thick(not thin, which is New York style… weird) so it filled us up. PROS — DE-LICIOUS. not your ordinary pizza, it really is special here. We got half #1 ricks delux combo and other half #11 garlic pesto chicken. Garlic pesto chicken sauce is really good! And delux had SO many toppings! OVERALL — you get what you pay for. some damn good pizza.
