If i could post a negative I would. I think the girl at the counter should be counseled on customer service. I walked in two girls were working one was helping customer and one was filling ice cream bins. There was one other person in line then me. We waited for 15 minutes and the girl doing the ice cream bins continued to ignore us, she was even tasting the ice cream ad we watched. The other customer said to her, «do you know you have customers?» She said I have to do ice cream. The other girl finished with the other customer and proceeded to help the other customer that was before me. Then two ladies with about 4 kids walked in and after about five minutes the girl that was filling the ice cream bins started to help the ladies with the kids. I said excuse I was here first and I was waiting for someone to write on the cake on your ready freezer. She acted annoyed for me interrupting her and said. We can’t do that! I have no idea why they would have cakes in their ready freezer if they refuse to write on them. I said okay and walked out! I will never again set foot in that store!!!

the worst customer service i have ever experienced. two of the late night workers have no problem harassing customers. one girl kept telling me that i always got a cotton candy ice cream… it was my second time going to that location and i hate cotton candy. why does she keep suggesting that i get that flavor. then she wouldnt take a coupon because of a new rule that they have to be printed!!! it didnt say that on the coupon. tried to contact the manager of the store three times… still waiting

Horrible customer service. Rude, they closed too early and the girl asked for ID for my debit card that had my face picture on it. They assumed we wanted a cup, not asking whether we would likes cup or cone. Will NEVER return.

Went there at 9:30 and they were closing down thirty minutes early and avoided eye contact while we attempted to get their attention at the door.

Went to get ice cream & the marshmallows were stale. I called & explained the situation & asked to have the owner call back. The kind assistant manager called back explaining that the owner told her to tell me that she will not be calling me & that the ingredients are always maintained properly. I was very disappointed at how the owner handled the complaint & the overall situation. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this place again, because I don’t feel comfortable going somewhere where ingredients may be sitting there for long periods of time. I hope they are able to handle other complaints in a more professional manner in the future. Thank you to the assistant manager for calling back.

I asked for cotton candy and the lady who doesn’t speak or understand much English gave me some marshmallow bs. I’m not going to fight with the lady to get what I want. A waste of my money. I won’t come here again.

Closing earlier than what’s posted? Bad for business. Really sad when you let kids run the show and they decide for themselves that they want to close up shop early.(My original review is from a visit on 1/9/2014.)

Takes forever to order and they aren’t even busy. Doesn’t even acknowledge that you’ve been waiting

The ice cream is good, the service is crap. I hadn’t been to Cold Stone in years, so I was kind of excited to indulge in some of their delectable goodness. We arrived around 9:40 and the place closes at 10:00. By the way that we were treated you would have thought that walked in at 10 on the dot(which still should have been okay). There were at least two people working but only one girl was working the store front, the other sounded busy cleaning in the back. When we walked up we were not greeted by a friendly face. Hell, we weren’t greeted at all. All that we got was a young girl who stood silently behind the counter and stared at us while we looked over the menu. She never offered a sample, a suggestion, or even a smile. She appeared annoyed that we were there and made our ice cream selections as quickly as possible. By the time we were done ordering, there were about 8 people in line behind us. I have no idea how they were treated but I can’t imagine it was any better than us. Their ice cream isn’t good enough to put up with the crappy service. No intention of returning anytime soon.

A bunch of kids behind the counter. They actually did their job well. Quick and courteous. Ice cream was perfect.

While I’d like to give more than 2 stars, I simply can’t — their prices are just too high for ice cream. Let’s be honest, ice cream is ice cream. What you are paying for at CSC is the glitz and show — to watch someone take out a cold stone cutting board, get out two oversized spatulas and watch them handfold the ice creams together. That’s basically it! As a previous poster had mentioned, no where to sit down. We ended up taking our ice cream outside and eating it as it was too crowded with the people that were there. Plus, they were a bit stingy on the napkin giving. We each got ONE small napkin and we were heading outside into the heat to eat this. I asked for some more napkins and we each got ONE more. I looked at the clerk and pointed out the price we just paid for this ice cream and told him I wanted MORE napkins. He huffed around a bit and then finally gave us about 2 more napkins each. That small part of the service and his attitude pretty much killed my desire to ever want to go back. As we ate our ice cream on the street, we came to the very logical conclusion that we would’ve been better off going to the grocery store and buying our own high-end ice cream and eating it at home. We definitely woud’ve gotten more for the price we paid at CSC. Heck… I can throw in nuts and cherries at home and fold them together with two spatulas if that is the kind of show that is needed. Get more for your money — go buy some Ben and Jerry’s or Haagen-Dazs at the store and enjoy it in the comfort of your own home.

There must be a Banana Split price-fix! Every Ice Cream place in Lodi has priced their Banana Splits at $ 6.00! Is that a coincidence? Or what? Should the Federal Anti-Trust Commission look into this? After a round-trip ride to Stockton and back yesterday… time for another Banana Split, I thought. What Ice Cream place hadn’t I tried, yet? I had not entered a Cold Stone in years… Why not? Banana Split(*** $ 5.99) If you take a look at the menu board… not a Banana Split in sight! Nor anything besides Scoops of Ice Cream. Wonder why? Whatever… Cold Stone uses exactly the same plastic Banana Split dishes to hold the Split concoction — a rectangular 2 ½″ x 6″ dish. Just like Baskin Robbins, though… the richness of the Ice Cream, which is the basis for the quality of any Split, is lacking. But the Ice Cream quality is just a tad better than Baskin Robbins. And there are more toppings that you can place on the Split… for example, four kinds of Nuts! And more variety of Fruit Toppings, also. Not as satisfying as a Banana Split from Richmaid( ), unfortunately. The Good about this Cold Stone — — Right next to Lodi Stadium 12 Cinema( ) — A variety of flavors of Ice Cream to make your Split; I’ll just stick with the standard Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate. The Bad — — Only 42-Person Tables in the whole place! — Cramped space. If there was a waiting line, you’d probably be standing right next to someone trying to consume their Ice Cream — Cold Stone will only give you one Napkin! No Napkin dispensers anywhere! You’ve got to beg them for more. — Scoopers used to dish out Ice Cream are the mini kind. Small scoops of Ice Cream, just over 2″ wide scoops. Just to be thorough in my evaluations, next week I’ll try the last place in Lodi that you can get Ice Cream, Velvet Grill & Creamery( ) on Ham & Kettleman.

Good icecream. Choose your own topping. Gummy bear poor choice.
