Came here a week or so ago to check out a band. We were seated right away. This is your local tavern with good music and a ton of Michigan beers. Dim lighting, décor like what you’d expect to see in an Irish Tavern. I had the black bean burger, it was okay. Nothing that I would have to have again. It could have used a little more flavor. The fries were good. Overall this is a good place to check out some good music and have a drink.

Growing up in the Plymouth Livonia area I had probably driven by O’malleys no less than 10,000 times without ever thinking to stop in. I have no idea if it has always been good, but on our recent Friday night trip it was great. We arrived at 830 on a Friday night and were pleased to be seated right away and find out they had live music. The menu options are varied and have just the right amount of excitement. To start we had the lamb sliders(mint aioli on top). They were tasty and had a good flavor. We also had the potato skins which were pretty average, but just what we were hoping for. They have a great selection of craft beers and a decent liquor selection(missing many of the craft liquors that other places in the area have made standard). For our entrees we all ordered different plates. I had the coconut chicken with fries. These were basically coconut chicken tenders. Great flavor and overall awesome meal. My wife had the chicken tender salad which for a salad was almost too big, the flavor was pretty good. My sister had the lamb stew in a bread bowl and just about everyone at the table was jealous when they tasted it. Full of flavor and the lamb was very tender– almost slow cooked. Overall great restaurant hidden in plain site. Prices are low, and it’s a great option for a fun night out in Livonia.

Enjoyed the music of Meri Slaven on a Thursday night. She was fantastic — but the food was NOT. The wings were pretty decent. SKIP the loaded potatoes & cheesy potatoes. I would recommend eating before you get there… LOL. Gotta admit my table mates loved the Mac & Cheese but I thought it was odd… gotta admit tho, next time I’ll get the Caesar Salad with chicken … PS. It was really noisy & the path to the men’s room was right in front of the stage…

I guess it’s not even fair because we were in here for St Patrick’s day. And no, we didn’t go into the tent either. Free cover is very good, specially the fact that you are already making record profits from this holiday. Thumbs up for not doing a cover charge. We met our friends late AF. So I had to make it up to them. Upon arrival our server came right by to take our orders. I did the green beer(bud light), fiancé did the guiness and Car Bomb for everybody! Weeeeee! Love the whole made from scratch irish cream. The drink was properly strong. Thank you O’Malleys. We did a Shepherd’s pie for drinking food, that was ok. Not really my favorite, but who cares! We were having lots of fun conversating and drinking. The band was really good as well, they played some old school covers which is great. They played«Sweet Caroline» and the whole area erupted with Bop! Bop! Bop! Thank you for an awesome St Patty’s day celebration. You guys are totally amazing. The service even when it was packed was impeccable.

My husband and I met a friend for lunch, chose to sit at the corner of the bar so we could watch golf and keno, had lunch(rueben sandwich and club sandwich****so-so). The problem was that the regulars seem to run the place, we were asked to move our seat twice we had just spent $ 60 on lunch and wanted to sip some beers in the seats we chose but apparently we were sitting in «their» spot. One guy even made a comment that pretty soon we would be pushed all the way to the end of the bar, that did it for us we left without finishing our beers. Not sure if we’ll be back wich is unfortunate as we’ve enjoyed the Thursday night music, love the new décor and owners are very welcoming.

So, first have to say that the music is awesome and it’s so nice to have an option closer to home to enjoy some great tunes. That alone gets my 3rd star. However, the food here is not good and the owner, Frank, doesn’t want to hear about it. Our group has tried this place out about 6 times since it re-opened and the food just doesn’t cut it. The sandwiches are lacking, the appetizers nasty — as in microwaved pretzels and cheese sauce that looks like old pudding. The burgers are nothing special and all the fried food tastes like it’s all fried together. Such a shame. The bar staff is basically clueless. Our drinks never came back refilled with the same order. Whiskey in a Moscow Mule and a switch of beers from dark to amber. The tables should have a list of some craft cocktail and beer specials for patrons to order. Doesn’t take much to come up with 8 – 10 drinks and some local beer specials to increase sales. And if you do make a complaint, not only the owner, but the wait staff takes immediate offense and they turn sour with further service. May be a bit difficult to take criticism but everyone including at least 8 different parties has had a similar experience with the food. So until it improves, I’ll eat elsewhere and just come for the music when I don’t want to venture down to Cliff Bells, Dirty Dog Jazz Café, or Bakers on a Thursday night. Again, can only hope that improvements will follow and the food will catch up with the everything else…

What a great night! 7 to 10:30 with some of the best music I’ve heard in a long time! It reminds me of the olé Attic bar in Hamtramck. You walk in and you feel this old world charm, making you step back in time! There is a welcoming feeling when you enter the door from Frank always in the area to great you, to Janice making you feel like home! The sound system in the place is by far some of the best quality, it’s like a little(a lot) bit of heaven blocks away! If you haven’t taken the time to visit one of the entertainment nights, you are missing out on some of Livonia’s best entertainment. Dinner and entertainment, good food, friends and neighbors! God Bless them for all their hard work, and for bring life back to Livonia!

Well we went back again to the NEW O’Malleys and again were impressed. We sat at the bar and met a lot of new people which makes for fun. Had coconut chicken tenders which were very good. Friends had Reuben and a chicken wrap which they said was very good. We had to wait at the door for about 20 – 30 minutes but was worth the wait. Go try it, its pretty good. A lot of friendly, fun people. PS drinks are good too.

Owners are very nice but the food needs a booster shot or something. It’s just not very good. I hope they improve that soon. The remodel is nice. They have some nice staff with the exception of one bartender who doesn’t know how to filter her mouth.

New look is awesome. Great selection of beers on tap. New menu with some great old favorites. The Lamb Sliders rock and the Coconut chicken is really good. They have home cut fries which were great. The Thursday night entertainment is off the hook! The sound system is first class. Nice to see Livonia has a great neighborhood pub!

Where is GRACIE? Oh, wait, that’s right, FRANK fired her stating things were just not working out. She has been there forever and several customers go there on Friday and Saturday nights knowing they will have the number one waitress taking care of them. Frank, way to go buddy, way to alienate many of your customers. We will follow Gracie where she goes.

My friends Chris & Christine come for dinner and drinks every Friday and have great things to say, so we met up with them and to try this neighborhood haunt, that I had never been to, despite it’s proximity! There are new owners since November 2013 and they are really making a great effort to win over their patrons. Christine says they have a FB page that lists specials, something she really liked! Food is great — including their MAURICESALAD, which is very good and served with toasted pita triangles. Dressing was good. Pickles were thin sliced and a generous serving. Prices are reasonable. I’d like a few more windows, maybe even an outdoor patio, but still… I’ll be back!

I was one those who couldn’t wait for our neighborhood pub to open after its renovation. The first two visits were ok… I thought maybe they were just getting used to things. Unfortunately thats not the case. The food being out or simply poor quality… and can you believe this PUB charged me $ 9.50 for a glass wine? Had I Known prices had gone up this much I would’ve never ordered two glasses. Each visit has a different problem, servers forgetting things, bartenders rude comments, out of food, quality down and those prices! Come on… Its a big risk to be closed down that long and put that much money in, you’d think you would open with your game face on. When I tried to discuss with the owner, he was very dismissive. Didn’t want to hear it. I now know they don’t want our business either. My husband couldn’t even finish his chicken wings the last time, he agrees we wont be going back. I was in last on a Thursday and a Saturday, both nights it was dead. Guess they got too comfortable.

Stopped in on Friday because their website says they have karaōke. They do not, so if that is what you are going for be warned. They did say they would have it back in a few weeks due to not having an entertainment license but as were were driving from Saline it would have been nice to have accurate information on their site. The staff here are very friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. Only stayed for one though as we were looking to do karaōke.

O’Malley’s is your typical windowless bar. The bar changed owners a few years ago and hasn’t been as good since. The food is pretty decent, especially the coconut chicken strips. The pizza can be hit or miss, but is generally good. It’s really the waitstaff that irks me; they are so slow even when it’s not busy. I only drink what’s on draft, so I’m unsure of their mixed drinks. In short, O’Malley’s isn’t anything special, but is a decent bar.

Definitely a neighborhood place as most are greeted by name. Too bad that the hospitality is saved for those that are known, as those of us that are unknown are basically left to fend for ourselves. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer and a menu. The beer was quick to arrive. But that menu? I finally had to flag down another woman behind the bar to secure one. The food was surprisingly good. My patty melt was delicious with a perfectly done burger, warm melted cheese and grilled onions dripping with butter. The fries? Eh…so. .so. And save the couple bucks I spent on a salad and order another beer as the salad is basically some chopped iceburg lettuce with one tomato wedge and croutons made of old bread. The best deal here seems to be the Friday night Fish Fry– and for $ 6.95– it is quite a large amount of food for the money
On Fridays– there is live karaōke– it must get loud as all the patrons move to the other end of the bar before it began! I suspect if I was a guy I would have found the bartenders to my liking as they spend an inordinate amount of time with the men at the bar. Silly women…if you had taken good care of me, you would have gotten a better tip than the guy next to me left, that’s for sure! But this place is a «brodeo» given I was one of two women in the place. Cold beer, decent food. If I was a guy, I’d probably be back
