Hampton Inn of Northville

Not the best Hampton Inn I’ve stayed in, but not much to complain about.
Bed was comfy, room was clean, and towels were of good quality. Big plus was plenty of power outlets for charging the technology. Desk was a little cramped against the bed though. Had no outside noise (nor freeway noise) that interfered with sleep.
Breakfast buffet was not great. I know they had low occupancy for two of the nights I was there, but seeing the same western omelets in the heater bin on day 2 of my stay was a little disappointing. They made up for it on day 3 with all new food that tasted good.
Another positive on this hotel is convenience for restaurants. Walking distance to a good pizza/​grill next door, Thai food, Panera bread, and many more choices which are less than a 5 minute drive.
I used their conference room for 3 days. They provided a speaker phone which worked great for our needs. Only charged $ 25/​day, and they had no problem letting my guests (who were not guests of the hotel) partake in the breakfast buffet.
Gotta give kuddos to the staff. Great bunch of folks. Always had a smile and eager to help.

The service alone is worth the five stars. I wish I would have written down the name of the wonderful woman working the desk at night. We had a group from out of state staying for a few nights for a funeral. The service at the desk was friendly and they went out of their way to help us. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and healthy. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed here a few years ago for a funeral and came back again for this funeral because of the care we received and the location. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

I actually thought this was pretty nice for a Hampton Inn. We were in town for one night, so we didn’t utilize many of the amenities, but our needs were met.
The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The lobby was clean and inviting. Our room was clean, up-​to-​date, and comfortable. The location was perfect for our needs during that 24 hour period. I also though the nightly rate was quite reasonable.
The breakfast was blah, but it was a continental breakfast and, in my experience, that’s pretty standard. We usually skip the hotel breakfast, but it was convenient and available and we were pressed for time.
I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

I recently stayed there and it was convienent, but best of all… I left my Ipad in my room and I was notified via email within hours. They FedEx ed my Ipad to me the next day.

This hotel has the best staff ever! We’ve spent over 15 nights here in the last month. Everyone remembered us from our first trip. The breakfast is the best of any hotel. They also have a free happy hour on Tue & Wed. The beds are very comfortable too.

Not sure why people like this place. Mediocre night’s sleep, pretty old hotel, terrible fitness room and brutally slow internet

Pros:
right next to a shopping plaza with Trader Joes, a thai place, starbucks is within walking distance, and an italian place
cookies at night
free breakfast
microwave in lobby for yummy dinners from Trader Joes
desks in the room are not directly in front of the airconditioning — woot
Cons:
fitness room is lacking. No weights only an elliptical, a bike, a treadmill, and a recumbent bike — and a non functioning sauna — who uses saunas now a days anyway
rooms have seen a bit of wear and the window coverings are roman shades, it’s all dark or all light
fridges are not standard, you need to request
They can never remember that i am on a corporate payment, and always wipe out the card put on the reservation… sigh.
All in all it does the job, easy on and off the highway, and my co-​workers with cars stay here, so i can get to the office. Just not my favorite place to stay.

I got married recently, and reserved a block of rooms at this Hampton Inn. We also reserved a meeting room to be used as a gathering space for guests to socialize in to try to keep them away from guest rooms (we can be noisy!)
The staff was incredibly accomodating and polite; they didn’t mind when our guests emptied the lobby fridge of all its bottled water, they handed out gift bags to our guests as they were checking in, they were even polite when they came to the gathering room to tell people to pipe down at midnight.
Very highly recommended.

Best Hampton ever! Tues– Weds free wine beer happy hour 5 – 7. Decent sized workout room, but beefs better equipment and weights. It has a sauna.
Most importantly, the staff is really nice. If every Hampton was like this, my business travel would be nicer.
