Joey G is an amazing artist! He did a awesome job on my tattoo! The tattoo shop was very clean and welcoming. Everyone that I spoke with was very nice, intelligent and made me feel very comfortable. Joey did a good job at keeping me calm! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great tattoo! I have seen his other work too on many of my friends and he is with out a doubt the best!

So today I got my 11th tattoo by Dennis Mackie. but it was my first 5 hour tattoo and my first at Eternal and all I have to say is wow!!! He is my new tattoo artist… I did not even feel him tattooing me. I could have slept the whole time… didn’t hurt. nothing…he is amazing!!! And such a nice guy! 10+ stars!!!

Very unprofessional and condescending. TJ was so disrespectful that he criticized my current tattoos which is terrible form where I come from, especially if you are a potential customer. Very rude, overpriced and arrogant artists who don’t even deserve that title. I will definitely NOT be recommending this shop to anyone. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the shop is clean and that is important. I have been getting constant tattoos over the past 10+ years and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had.

This evening we saw Tyler and Alex. First of all the receptionist Alex was extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable even for her 2nd day. My friend and I wanted a forward triple helix but unfortunately did not have the ears for them, however Tyler(the piercer) was generous with suggestions. We both found different versions that appealed to us greatly. During the process Tyler was relaxed, enthusiastic and overall enjoyable to be around. So much so that after we left more than content with our ears we went back to have my nose pierced. I highly recommend Eternal in Livonia because most places know what they’re doing but not all make you comfortable in the process. They did a wonderful job and I look forward to returning.

I will never go to another shop for any piercings. I have been to a few places in the past and no where compares to Eternal in Livonia. The knowledge of the staff is impressive and they really prepare you for the after care of your new piercing. Tyler in particular makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend him for any piercing. He will keep you laughing throughout the entire process.

I had my nose pierced by Brooke 3÷14÷15. I was absolutely impressed with how clean the entire studio was and how Brooke explained everything to me in detail before hand and while she was doing the piercing. Everything she used for my piercing was brand new and in it’s own sealed wrapper. The piercing itself only took 3 seconds and with in a total of 5 seconds she had already had my sterlized hoop in place. One little pinch and it was totally over with. Brooke made sure I was clear on instructions for trading to my piercing daily. I personally would and highly will recommend Eternal tattoos for any and all piercings. I also highly highly recommend Brooke for doing any and all piercings as well. Thanks for such a awesome experience Brooke. You Rock!

Went for my first tattoo last week. My artist was Cheryl. She was great. She helped me feel comfortable and deal with those first time nerves. Love her work. I’m getting tons of compliments on how well done my tattoo is. The shop looked clean and seemed very busy, so others obviously like the place. I would go back and I would send my friends to Cheryl for sure.

I absolutely loved this shop! The staff was incredibly friendly! The second I stepped foot inside I was greeted. The piercer was incredible, she asked me so many questions about my prior piercing experience and she was so so helpful! I had such a great experience at this shop. I would recommend eternal to anyone looking for a piercing. Their pricing is a lot higher than most shops. But it’s worth the extra money to have the job done well!

Jay Wheeler is amazing! He does beautiful intricate work & makes it an almost pleasant experience because he is so laid back & just puts you at ease — its like hanging out with an old friend! Be prepared though that you have to book WAY in advance(6 months for me), bite well worth it. The picture speaks for itself!

All of the artists here are very talented and level-headed, personable people. All of my tattoos have been done by TJ, but I’ve seen seen work by every artist there and it’s all very good. The place is very clean, and makes for a comfortable setting when getting a tattoo done. When it comes to price, you get what you pay for. Eternal may be known to be a bit«pricey», but the work will definitely reflect the price. Although, in my opinion, the prices are very reasonable. My only complaint is a small one, and it’s that the girls who work the front desk are often rude and are too caught up in looking at their cell phones then actually doing their job. Though, this is a minor complaint, luckily you’ll only have to deal with them for a few minutes. Overall a great tattoo shop, the only one I’ll go to. Eternal has the strong reputation it has for a reason.

I live in Los Angeles but my heart is in Detroit and so is my favorite tattoo place. Doug has tattooed me a few times over a span of 5 years and my tattoos are perfect and holding ink. Still in no need of a touch up. I try to go in every time I come home.

Went to Eternal in Livonia for a cover-up by Cheryl. Never been happier! I highly recommend this shop! And highly recommend Miss Cheryl! I truly love her work! I will most definitely get another piece done by her! The shop is also very clean and beautiful! Never seen a shop that nice, the other employees are so cool too. It’s officially my go to shop for tattoos and piercings :)

Got my very first Tattoo from Doug this past week. I have been contemplating a tattoo for over two years, Doug was extremely helpful, knew exactly what I wanted and took the time(even though it was extremely busy) to calm all my concerns. I am pleased to say that Cheryl is the best! She’s a wonderful artist and i am completely happy about my new tattoo. I’m not one to get tattoo’s but this one i got is very special to me. I asked for it to be light grey in color and she did exactly what i asked for. The establishment to me was very clean and professional. Cheryl Tash is one talented artist! Not only are her skills top notch she has the personality and professionalism to match it! I ALWAYS feel comfortable and welcomed every time I see her. I’ve gotten thousands of dollars of work done here — two full sleeves, two large leg pieces, a sizable back piece and a huge chest piece — and drive all the way up from Chicago every time I get the hankering for more work. Kevin Lytle, my artist, does amazing original designs: I start with a concept and source art(mostly comic-book stuff) and he utterly transforms it into something better, different, and yet still true to the spirit of what I was looking for.(See for more info.) The other artists are all really cool, as is the crack staff at the reception desk. I live in Chicago but have covered my body in artwork done in Livonia, MI — what higher recommendation could I make?
