Went to get haircut there for first time. The haircut was good and the owner was nice and professional. I would go there again.

A great place for everyone’s hair care demands. Finally a place you can go that respects you’re time, with punctual appointments, and doing a fantastic time with you when in their hands. From kids to grand folk and everyone in between, the cutting edge does a great job at a great price. Just go and thank me later.

My review/experience is about the same as Ellie’s and JM’s(without the elated part). Critical and unprofessional comments about other clients left me uncomfortable. Cutting skills are haphazard at best. While never thrilled, the last haircut I received was my last haircut at this salon — uneven layers, blunt cut on one side(think cut with kid’s scissors) while blended on the other. Her color is decent at a fair price. There’s a reason she can’t seem to keep stylists and is always trying to fill chairs. Best suited to the under 18 or over 70 crowd.

I was so very elated and happy with my cuts the 1st and 2nd times, and the color wasn’t quite right the 1st and 2nd times, but I was willing to work with the situation. Upon getting home after my 3rd cut, my right side was longer than the other, and there were pieces that weren’t evened out on both sides. She had another client waiting and it seemed she cut corners with me on the 3rd cut, but she seemed to be aware of the color problem I was mentioning to her, and did seem at first to be concerned about it. Although, she referenced it later to the other stylist/owner, saying«I was upset» about my color. I told her I wasn’t upset but concerned that the color didn’t turn out right all 3 times to the color brown that I wanted. I gave her a 20% tip each time I was there. I thought I had found heaven in this stylist, but either she didn’t like my reporting my concern on the color, or she felt comfortable enough to just not take the correct time and effort with my cut. It’s a really big let down, but now, alas, I’ll try to find another new salon, once again.

Just a note of caution about owner Roseanne — she can be critical of her clients and sometimes that not appropriate in front of other clients. While she means it to be joking a bit of sensitivity and maybe not rushing to do so many clients would help.

amazing pocket of style heaven! i can count on my hand the number of times my haircut has matched my expectations and the picture i bring in. roseanne went above and beyond. and in record time! there is nothing simple about my kind of wavy, not that thick, crazy hair. but this cut makes it a breeze to style, as a mom with a little toddler needs! and i got my brows done! she is truly a professional and has mad skills. livonia is super lucky to have her!!!

I stumbled upon this little gem of an establishment, this past year. It is a very cute little salon. It’s always clean. I’ve been a client of Stephanie Yearkey-Manus since summer 2011. I LOVE her! I can’t speak of the other stylists as I’m not their client, but Stephanie is as good as they get. She is very much a professional and takes great pride in providing top quality service. She knows her stuff. She has great attention to detail, is consistent, and truly listens to the client. She will openly share her professional opinion if she doesn’t think something will look right on you(color, cut…). Do not make the mistake in thinking that Stephanie is a BORICS stylist. Do not think that think that she only does grandma styles… I think Stephanie stays in-tune to what’s going on with hair. Stephanie is very down to earth, but not too casual that you don’t respect her for the professional that she is. I love the organic products that she uses. Draw back to the salon, they don’t have a typical products shelf. Rosanne(the owner) will get you products if you request them, but she only goes to her supplier once a month. I know that she also promotes 50% off of supplies, but I have found her prices to be comprable to other salons. She had a bottle of It’s a 10 on her shelf and it was the same price as what I found it at Macy’s and online. So I’m not sure how the 50% thing works. I’m also not sure how pricing works. I know that each stylist seems to have their own set prices for their services. Stephanie is very fair in what she charges. A cut only(wash, cut, dry, style) $ 30(sometimes she’s charges me $ 35) A cut with one step color $ 75(organic costs more). So ask about price before going in. My husband and son are also Stephanie’s clients. My son is 13 years old and you know how important hair is to a teenager… He feels she’s the best stylist he’s had yet. Unfortunately since I wrote this review, Stephanie has left this Salon. She is currently looking for a new location. Once I have her new location, I will post a new review. I’m not really promoting this salon, I’m promoting Stephanie! LOL
