Culvers

Normally I love coming here on my way to work. Tonight they were very slow in the lobby. I was there for 15 minutes waiting while 5 cars were served. There were only 2 of us in the lobby. Perhaps something can be done to speed up service inside the restaurant.

This is not your usual burger joint. You place your order, go to get your own drink and sit down. When your food is ready, a server comes out and brings it to you. The dining room is set off from the counter where you place your order. There are TVs around the dining area. Depending upon where you sit, you either get TV programming from satellite, or you get nothing but Culver’s commercials.
The burgers are definitely not kosher as the meat is cooked with butter, and meat and dairy is not kosher. However, this makes for a really juicy burger which is known for dripping juice. so, I advise eating the burger with it over your basket. That way the juices will drip there instead of on the table or yourself. My wife ordered the butter burger. She reported that it was juicy and flavorful. I ordered the Swiss cheese and mushroom burger. It is very juicy and richly flavorful. The french fries are nice and crisp with nice seasoning. Unlike some places where I have had to wipe off my fries before eating them, the fries are not overly salted.

Typically I don’t review fast food places mainly because if you’ve been to one you’ve been to them all. Culvers is a different type of fast food though. They have a very extensive menu and very well priced. The service is great too never had a bad experience with the staff. I also appreciate that they don’t make you wait at the counter for your meal. You are given a number and the staff will bring your food to your table. The burgers are fresh and seem to be prepared while you wait. The cheese curds are great! Highly recommended and may be my favorite part of Culvers.

With over 6 visits to this Culvers. Not once have I been disappointed with either the food or service. The food has always been hot and the order has been correct. Livonia has a nice array of new places to eat in the area. But I wont lie to you its crowded on the roads now. But well worth the inconvenience. Give it a try !

So I have been here a couple times because my daughter loves the burgers and fries and I have a had a variety off the menu. My take is that it is okay. Although, I will have to say that the price is a little steep and the last time I went and ordered a shake it tasted off for some reason. I may try it again to make sure that it just wasn’t an off day. On the plus side, I have had nothing but friendly service every time!

Frozen Custer is the star of this place. As well as the nicest staff I have ever encountered in a fast food place! Burgers are ok, and the have cheese curds that are awesome

Finally a Culver’s in Livonia! This fast food location is worth the wait because they make everything fresh for you. Great burgers, cheese curds, and frozen custard! I’ve noticed this location does a lot of things with the community (classic car show, trick-​or-​treating, etc).

MY sons new favorite burger! They do have pretty good burgers. MY son likes the double butter burger. I like the swiss mushroom burger and the prime rib sandwich. I’ve tried they’re salads not bad and they even have good soups. Of course the custard is wonderful but I don’t usually get any but the kids sure do love it. The service is good for a fast food chain. A liitle pricey but they do send coupons and have an email club that sends promotions.

I’ve only used to drive thru at this culvers and I cant complain except that there aren’t any culvers locations closer to me! The burgers are great and they have cheese curds!
Drive thru was great cuz I had my dog in the car and they gave him a doggy treat! Wonderful fast food!

Excellent burger. I wish I had room in my stomach to eat another. The fries have a nice crunch to them. I will definitely add this place to my list of favorites. I’m gonna have to try some of the sandwiches next.

One thing I like about Culver’s is that the employees do seem to be friendlier than most other fast food joints. I can’t remember the last time I saw a sourpuss face or some surly teenager who looked like they were being forced by gunpoint to work there.
I’ve only gotten one questionable item at this location and that was back in November when I got the Flavor of the Day custard. It was supposed to be PB custard with chocolate and PB swirls. Turns out they just drizzled a little chocolate and PB on the top. Major disappointment!
The custard is really yummy though. You can create your own Cement Mixer and during happy hour, it’s buy one, get one free. The fried chicken is always juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. For a price similar to other fast food places, the food is definitely far superior.

Tried Culvers for the first time, and posters are correct, the staff are very pleasant, also as LJ G said, the food was not hot, and was just okay. I had a Culver double cheese burger and the cheese was a burnt to a crisp brown but not warm. Not worth the money at all. The cheese curds were not warm, not anywhere close to being melty.

My new favorite restaurant. My top picks include the butter burger, roast beef sandwich, and roast beef dinner. Their roast beef is incredible! The staff is always very pleasant and the restaurant clean.
I just wish they could get my order right. Forgot my salad a couple days ago and today my sandwiches were wrong. Had to drive back for the correct order.

This location is so friendly and honest, I left my purse there by accident, and the next day they had it and no one even touched the cash! That says a lot about the management.
The food is excellent, I recommend the Wisconsin melt, crispy buttery toast and fresh patties always. The ice cream is really really good too. The service is awesome, and everyone is very responsive to your needs. The bathrooms are also very clean :) I love this Culvers!

Staff courteous the ice cream/​custard is to die for. Everthing I’ve ever tried has been delicious. So happy they finally put one near me.

This isn’t the first Culver’s I’ve eaten at. I work at a boys home and it is tradition to go to Culver’s on the way to and back from camp. But I just recently went to the newest one on Middlebelt in Livonia and I was not disappointed. The staff as always are an experience in and of itself. They are always very friendly. I was caught off guard at first because I was so used to unattached poor customer service of other fast food places but this was a pleasant surprise. Only reason for 4 stars is that the food was warm not HOT. I am EXTREMELY edgey about that. HOT FOOD MUST BE HOT!

The staff are extremely friendly… not only here but at the other Culver’s I’ve visited. I had the tomato florentine soup which was VERY tasty. I also had a crispy chicken sandwich which was pretty good but not great, hence the 4 stars… nonetheless i will be back :)
