China Wong

Ordered for the first time last night (vegetable chop suey, salt & pepper tofu and moo shu vegetables). Food was hot, fresh and delicious and took less than 15 minutes. AND — they had the real moo shu pancakes (the thin rice flour), not the weird tortillas a lot of places have started to use. We’ll definitely be back! p. s. Salt & pepper tofu was outstanding, so well seasoned, coating perfectly done, best I have ever had.

My husband and I order from here a couple times a month. We started ordering from here because it’s just down the road. We kept ordering because we love American Chinese food and this place is consistently good. Sometimes we get delivery and sometimes we pick up, regardless the food is always hot and fresh. Favorites are Szechuan beef, vegetable lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, and sesame chicken. If you’re looking for consistent American Chinese dishes this is the place to go. Also, when we get delivery it usually only takes 15 – 20 minutes!!! Major plus.

Very good food, favorite Chinese Spot in Liverpool

I have been ordering from these folks for over 10 years. (I believe it maybe run by the same family all of these years.) I remember seeing the children sitting quietly in the dining area working on their homework, years ago.
Parents tend to make the best cooks.
My family tends to order the same thing everytime. General Tso’s, Sesame Chicken, Vegetable Lo Mein, Chicken Ho Fun, Hot and Sour Soup, and Crab Ragoons. We have never been disappointed.
Last spring I had a sore throat and was constantly coughing. So, whenever I got out of work at 9:30 pm, I would stop by for a quart of the best Hot and Sour soup. They were always happy to be of service even though they were about to close at 10pm (on the weekdays).
Thank you, China Wong. It helped calm my cough and let get some sleep.

Definitely the best take out Chinese food in Liverpool and most of Syracuse (rest in peace Hing Sing :() China Wong offers exactly what you would expect. There is a wide variety of chicken, beef and vegetable dishes. A nice bonus is that depending on how much you order, they throw in additional free items including tasty egg rolls. My personal favorite is the general Tso chicken with white rice. The spice is just right in this dish and I really enjoy the flavor. The pork egg roll compliments this dish well also. Most any dish that I have had has not let me down. The delivery personnel are also very friendly and always deliver my food on time! I have to also note that I have YET to have my order messed up and I have been ordering from this place for more than 4 years.

My favorite place for Chinese food. I’ve lived in the Syracuse until a few years ago and tried many other places but China Wong remains my favorite. Every time I’m back in town I have to order. I usually get chicken with broccoli, steamed dumplings and cheese wontons. So amazing.

I will start off by saying that Chinese food in CNY is just blah. This place is the best of them. Really good spare ribs but you must remind them not to burn them and their shrimp & lobster sauce is pretty good! This is the only place that doesn’t use nasty immitation crab meat in their food either liks the rest do! Go here for a quick, tasty chinese take out meal!

The BEST that we have found in the last 15 years in the Liverpool/​Clay area!
The orders are always correct, the food always hot and prepared pretty much in front of you if you choose to watch.
Take out orders always arrive EARLY! That service is super and well worth a good tip for the driver.

The best chinese food you’re going to find in liverpool! I used to get China Wong regularly but since moving all i can do is pine for it.
Stand out menu items include the salt and pepper tofu (better alternative than HK!) the general tso’s chicken, and dumplings!
Everything is made in house fresh. You can taste the difference.

China Wong can be a hit or a miss, but its currently my go-​to Chinese take out in Syracuse. My favorite dishes to order include shrimp with garlic sauce, shrimp pepperanda, tofu with broccoli and moo shu vegetable. Their lo mein is very delicious and the ho fun (broad rice noodles) is excellent.

I am growing accustomed to experiencing mediocre Chinese food in the Syracuse area. Since mediocrity is the normal in this area, then China Wong is just another normal Chinese food take out place. The widespread use of frozen, prepared foods along with pre-​cooked fried foods allows this restaurant and others to have your meal ready in 10 minutes. Unfortunately, while the food is quickly made ready, the food is also poorly made.
Sesame chicken was attractively presented and still warm upon arrival where I was eating although, the sauce was thick, syrupy and very sweet. The «crispy» chicken coating gave new meaning to rubber chicken. The chicken itself could not be appreciated because of the sauce and distracting coating. Steamed dumplings were very bland. Fried wontons were also flavorless, except for the heavy fried oil taste that remained in the fried wrappers. Can’t fault this place for consistency ! I would call the pork with Chinese vegetables good if I had only skipped the pork.
All in all, if you like barely average take out Chinese food, here’s a place for you.

Good quality Chinese food. Dumpling sauce is great and their Lo Mein is just greasy enough. I order to pick up, so I dont know how quick delivery is, but I do like their food. Its as good as the NYC Chinese food that I am used to.

Excellent Chinese food. Never had a bad meal here. Our go-​to for Chinese take out. Crab rangoons are delicious. They do General Tso’s Chicken right. Portions are huge and price is inexpensive. Everything is ready in 10 – 20 minutes and very fresh.
