Got the ribs. Plate was wonderful. I highly recommend the Spring Rolls too. The owner and staff were very friendly.

The food was delicious! If you’re looking for a new spot to eat, I would highly recommend this place. When you walk in you’re greeted by friendly faces. The environment is perfect and the food is even better. The brisket was moist and the spring rolls were amazing! Would definitely take my friends and family here again!

Don’t judge a book… or bbq joint by its cover. Long Tieng BBQ. What an awesome find. BBQ nothing short of phenomenal Ms Howard is a spunky and funny lady who cooks EVERYTHING from scratch. Her daughter waits on tables and her husband makes the homemade coconut icecream which is served on her fried bananas w a chocolate sauce. This is a definite must have so save room. Everything on the menu is perfection. The spareribs and brisket delish. Get some yams and potato salad both are equally awesome. You won’t be disappointed. I will definitely be back to try the BBQ chicken.

Ribs were perfectly seasoned. Nice, salty flavor, no sauce, juicy, flavorful, smoky. I was really surprised by how good they were, and when I return, it’ll be just ribs for me. Potatoe salad was really good too, I would say they got this«right». I think I liked this BBQ because it’s simple, perfectly seasoned, and reminds me of something I would do on my own grill. Nicely priced. The location is small, so heads up if you go during a rush hour, but the chef was friendly. I’d like to see this place expand, although I suspect that the secret is the chef.

I gave this place 2 stars because there were a few things we did like. However we were sadly disappointed with a majority of our order. When you pass the restaurant the sign outside says«Lao/American BBQ.» We decided to give it a try by ordering via Eat Out In. We figured there would be a Lao twist to the BBQ food and were anxious to have a taste. I must say, upon viewing the menu, there was only BBQ dishes. We did see Thai coffee, Thai tea, fried bananas and ice cream, and Thai spring rolls. All of which we did order. It was the Thai coffee and tea that gave the restaurant one star. The Thai spring rolls were ok but a bit greasy, and my husband didn’t feel the fried banana was anything special either. We also ordered the three meat family meal with two sides. This included sausage, brisket and pork ribs. The sausage was way over cooked and shriveled. Almost as if they had previously cooked the sausage and just reheated it on the grill. The ribs were also over cooked and hardly edible. We had green beans and coleslaw as the sides. I decided to try the candied yams and potato salad as smaller sides. Everything except the brisket left much to be desired. It wasn’t anything special, the potato salad tastes like soap, the green beans were rubbery and severely lacking in flavor and the coleslaw was all vinegar. The BBQ sauce they included also had a weird aftertaste that was comparable to bananas. The only thing worthy of the second star was the brisket. The menu states that all plates would come with onions and pickles on the side. These were not included nor were the three sodas I ordered. However I don’t know if this was the fault of the Eat Out In driver or Long Tieng BBQ. Aside from the Thai drinks and the brisket there wasn’t much else we liked and were hoping for more of the Lao Asian Fusion they boast about on their title sign. I also found it strange that there were Thai items on the menu when they have Lao on their sign; because there is a difference between the two countries. My husband was born and raised in Thailand and was hugely disappointed. We probably won’t be ordering from them again.

We(my wife and I) came here for the first time and she ordered the BBQ Brisket and I ordered Thai Green Curry w/chic & shrimp. Both dishes were very good. We will surely come back. We came because of the Unilocal rating!

Great food and owners! I’ve been here several times and have not had a bad experience. I recommend the brisket and spare ribs. It’s definitely not your typical Texas BBQ.

Decided to stop and eat here tonight because of the good Unilocal reviews and we were intrigued by the unusual combination of Texas barbeque, spring rolls and fried bananas. The spring rolls are crispy and delicious with a meat based filling served with a delicious sweet & sour sauce. We had the sliced brisket, pork ribs, pinto beans, potato salad, coleslaw and yams. We would rate the barbeque as a 7 out of 10. The coleslaw was very good. Portions were generous. Lastly, we had the fried banana. We have never had anything quite like this before, but it was excellent. The banana is battered and fried to a golden crunchy, sweet goodness and topped with ice cream and chocolate syrup. What more could you ask for. The service is very friendly, from the waitress to the owner to the cooks. You are really made to feel at home. So glad we stopped in for a totally unique experience.

Excellent BBQ! I usually order the brisket and it is very tender and flavorful. The homemade BBQ sauce is some of the best I have had(a splash of jack Daniels, i believe). I have been there many times and have always been very happy with the quality of the food. I included a pic of my to go plate. It is at least a half a pound of lean cut brisket and two sides for around 8 bucks. The owner and staff are always friendly and I will certainly be back for more.

Its a little hole in the wall with few tables. Be patient, there’s only two or three workers. The owner and her niece were so friendly and helpful. The eggrolls are amazing, fried to crispy perfection. The fried banana and homemade ice cream was outstanding!

I am literally driving from Dallas to almost San Antonio to eat this BBQ this weekend with my wife. It is THAT good. Yes, a 5 hour drive for some pig — you read it right. Please give these guys a shot if you like Mom N Pop restaurants and BBQ especially. It is a big hit with everyone I have ever sent here!

I was vacationing in Corpus Christi thought I find a place to eat around Corpus Christi on my way back home to Fort Worth I stumbled across Long Tieng BBQ i been to a lot of BBQ places so I thought I will try something different. We ordered the 2lb family pack with brisket and ribs the ribs and brisket was well seasoned and the hickory smoke on the meat was amazing and yes the meats was tender. We also ordered some traditional Laotian dishes which so amazing so if your looking for American style BBQ with great taste and have some amazing Asian dishes as well she has different dishes and specials every day. If she the ingredients for what you want she will make it for you. The owner is awesome she is so nice and her daughter is so nice as well she waitressing that day. I ordered ribs, briskets, papaya salad to go and I couldn’t get home fast enough! The ribs were very tender and juicy. My boyfriend ate the brisket and he licked the plate clean! The papaya salad was delicious! Reminds me of my moms back home. Everything was amazing and the cook was such a sweet lady… I am a native Laotian and it was good meeting another. Next time I will bring my family! Thank you for your hospitality!

I really wanted to like this place. The food is honest and the owners can be seen working hard in the kitchen. This review is strictly for their BBQ. Chicken is on point with heavy smoke and solid rub, but the brisket lacked smoke and the ribs were tough. When the owner came to greet me and ask for my opinion on the food, I was honest with her and she told me the following: «Let me be honest with you… I finished my ribs in the oven because I was running late» and«I wrap my brisket in foil because a lot of my customers don’t have teeth». Neither of those things are going to result in good BBQ. I will say however, that their spicy BBQ sauce is some of the best I have had. I would buy that stuff by the bottle. In the end, I wish the food was a fusion of Thai and BBQ, but they keep them separate. One reviewer wrote about brisket egg rolls, which I asked about, but she said that it was a special order and she thought that they were bad. This place is worth a shot, but it didn’t live up to the hype.

I stopped by here the first day I moved to Live Oak for BBQ and I was BLOWNAWAY. First off, it was already closing time so I felt like an ass walking in, but they were so nice and inviting and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all. The owners were there and the main chef suggested the egg rolls which again blew my mind. The ribs fell off the bone and I have been back a few times for the Chinese plates… amazing. I don’t go as much as I should because my wife cooks a lot, but when we eat out… We choose Long Tieng! This is, in fact, the only restaurant review I have ever written. That is how amazing they are!

Oh wow! My wife wanted to try something a little different tonight. We have been in this area over 10 years and this little place has been here 3 years this coming May. Cannot understand how we’ve missed it. Anyhow…we started out with Mrs. Rhonda’s egg rolls, which by the way, you simply must get. I had the brisket sandwich and wife had the brisket plate. You cannot pass up the fried bananas with home made ice cream(which Tom makes 2 gallons of everyday)! Everything is made fresh to order and they are just the nicest couple! We will be back!

This place is a diamond in the rough. You are doing yourself a big injustice if you drive by this place and do not stop in at least get the egg rolls. I am serious. We started with an appetizer of the aforementioned egg rolls and it was the bomb. We then ordered the two meat barbecue plate with brisket, sausage, cole slaw, and yams. The brisket was moist and the homemade bbq sauce was amazing. The sausage was also moist with a great crunch in the casing. The cole slaw had the right amount of tanginess and sweetness and the yams were balanced in sweetness and savoriness. Next up, and not to be outshined by the bbq, the shrimp laab was tasty and with the right amount of kick. It is made fresh to order with the freshest ingredients. The shrimp were large tender and perfectly cooked. As for dessert, you absolutely need to order the fried bananas. It is the best way to finish an already outstanding meal. The husband and wife team, to include the waitress were very friendly and the conversation just added to the dining experience. We will be back. A restaurant truly deserving of five stars.

Don’t really know where to begin? 1st– I’m proud and happy to say I had this place on my Google maps for about a year and finally got over here to give it a try. Very mad at myself for procrastinating because I was craving my next visit before I finished my take out meal. 2nd– I’m feeling weird saying I had my best ever egg roll at a BBQ joint? 3rd– The Cole slaw which I try almost everywhere was so good that it stands out now as in my top 3 ever eaten anywhere. Right now Cal-bobs in Kerrville, Q39 in Kansas city, and this place have Cole slaw I will crave, luckily I found one in the same town I live in. I’m very excited to try everything else on menu including all the other daily Asian specials offered. Although the brisket was absolutely perfect and left nothing to complain about I wish since I was raving about the bbq instead of sides but I will be back. I can completely see this place one day outgrowing this establishment since it’s only a matter of time before the masses find this place. Let me now proclaim, that North East San Antonio now has the best bbq joints in San Antonio and really is solidifying San Antonio ‘s place in bbq texas history. The same way I think of Lockhart as a place to experience BBQ history the NE quadrant of San Antonio is dominating right now, Sorry. I love good food, and supporting local business and this place is off the charts for both. Keep up the great work and I look forward to coming back.

I enjoyed my visit at Long Tieng BBQ, the food was good but Mrs. Howard and Miguel made my sister and I laugh the hardest we’ve ever laughed(tears and all). I would go back in a heartbeat to see those two again! The food was good but could’ve been better, our brisket sandwich was on the dry side and had some hard pieces that I couldn’t thoroughly chew. The potato salad and sweet potatoes were a bit on the tough side, not cooked all the way. We really liked the egg roll and would get this again, a tad on the greasy side though. Also, we left smelling like we had been cooking in the pit. I’ll definitely return because we may have gone on an off day.
