Great selection, beautiful leather, including lots of kits for beginners. The staff is great — more than happy to help and answer questions. Felt compelled to write a review after my last experience — when they were out of the rivets I needed in a small bag, they offered me a great deal on a bigger bag. I will remain a loyal regular of this wonderful store!

Being a former vegan, it is very strange for me to hear myself say this but, dammit, I’m into leather. Something about the smell, the breathability, the durability, the flexibility… I’m just into it. And Tandy has seriously whet my appetite. Not only is there an extensive selection of a variety of hides from raw to treated to dyed to belt straps. But there are also snake skins, rabbit skins, some feathers, and other animals parts. Add to that a decent selection of buckles, hardware, sinew, leather dyes, stamps, and so on. I also overheard they have classes in a variety of leather processes. If I still lived in Denver, I’d be driving my tuchus out to the boondocks to get schooled. People who work here are super friendly. They have a strange pricing system where there are three levels of prices. If you pay $ 50 per year, you are an elite member and it knocks the price down something crazy like 25% or so. Since leather gets expensive, you can make your membership fee back in one trip. Anyway, it’s worth asking about before you make your first purchase. This is where I try to come up with a good pun using the phrase«tans my hide» and instead surrender to self-reflexivity.
