I brought my husband, son, and his bride-​to-​be to Overstreet for some basic pre wedding dance lessons. I thought my son would be more comfortable taking the lessons with us. What a great experience. Lindsey is so warm and welcoming and she gave each of us so much individual attention and direction. She made it very easy to learn the dance steps. We felt very accomplished and capable after our back-​to-​back lessons. The studio is first class as well. Can’t wait to go back!

This is a fabulous dance studio with an absolutely beautiful floor. I flew in from California a couple of weeks ago for a West Coast Swing competition that was being held there, and was really impressed. The dance floor is huge and is made of wood with a really nice finish on it for dancing! I’ve been to studios where the floor looked great but didn’t dance well, but this one was really nice!
I met the owner, Joe, and he was really helpful and friendly. While we were setting up each morning, I watched a Pachanga class — sort of Zumba/​Jazzercise/​Aerobics with a decidedly Latin flavor. The music was pounding and the students, which completely FILLED the huge floor, were gyrating and burning off calories like crazy — all with smiles on their faces.
Check out all the different styles of partner dances that they offer! You’ll be glad you did!

Joe and Nelle DeMers have created a beautiful space for all you dance-​lovers out there! I have only been there for Lindy Hop, but there are a variety of dances and classes offered for all kinds of partner dances and fitness dance.
It’s an easy drive from downtown Denver (straight down Broadway) and it happens to go right past Le Trompeau, the best French bakery in town, so make sure you check out some of their daytime classes/​workshops so you can reward yourself with something delicious as well as a great time dancing!

Wow, what a great work out, you get at the class. I tend to go to the two hour sessions held once a month. Felix is so full of energy and he is so nice. Great floors so not hard on the ankles or feet. The two hour dance party has food and drinks at the end, so for 15.00, you cannot go wrong. I wish he had the two hours work outs more often. The next one is Jan 21. Every one is so nice and there to burn those calories. Check it out! I love to eat, and well if I know I am going over there to shake my you know what, I figure I can eat more and not feel so guilty, ha, thanks Felix for letting me eat more and weigh less. You are awesome.

South Denver has a new spot for dancers! I was here for swing dancing, but they also offer tango, west coast swing, blues, swing, and salsa. I was also distracted by the widely popular Pachanga class taught by Felix Ojeda. When driving here, be sure to look for the dancing footprints on the doors (if they’re down) or the visible dance classes (doors up). It’s a cool, fun atmosphere and wasn’t too hot. Check it out.

A valuable addition to the Denver area’s line up of dance/​studio spaces, Overstreet Dance gallery is owned by two dancers who put their money where it counts: the floor. There are places you can dance that are more popular, but none of them has as good a floor as Overstreet.
This is a new venue, but what’s encouraging is that the proprietors are actively engaged in making improvements, and so their Friday swing dance has been getting better and better each week. Overstreet also has an abundance of comfortable seating nice, clean bathrooms, and good sound system.
It’s out of the way for this Boulderite, but Overstreet has a lot of promise.

Beautiful sprung floors and very romantic looking at night with all the lights on… this would be a great place to take a date or meet new people at the dance. definitely worth checking out, esp the youth classes!
