I started with Black Belt Salsa(BBS) because I wanted to learn how to dance salsa. I had never before stepped on to a Latin dance floor. Training with Edie and her Apprentices in group classes for about a month, I suddenly realized that I wasn’t being trained how to dance Salsa. Instead, they were teaching me how to BE a Salsa dancer. I also was learning how to dance bachata and cha cha through the social dances they put on after training — the community is so kind and will teach me any Latin dance if I ask. I also feel so safe during social dancing because the men are taught to be incredibly respectful and I don’t get that when I’m out at the clubs. My life forever changed when I joined the Apprenticeship program and my dancing sky rocketed! I went from zero to hero and still have so much to learn! Now I don’t dance Salsa. I am a Salsa dancer. I love that!

I had the honor to be trained by Edie Williams ‘The Salsa Freak” and by far, that was the best training I have had in my 12 years of dancing. Her extensive knowledge, passion and attention to detail was crucial in my growth as a dancer, instructor and dance business owner. efore I met Edie, honestly I was struggling with my own«move of the week» nighmares and keeping up with new students; after, I met and trained with Edie, I now have a proven system, stress free but more importantly measurable. I definitely recommend any independent instructor to chat with her, get to know the Black Belt System and take the Dance Business Management course. Thank you for you have done for the dance community Edie and for making my job more enjoyable.
