This place has a very wide selection of great beers! The seating area is quite roomy and does not feel crowded. They offer a limited menu of «bar food» that’s pretty good. Unfortunately children are not allowed. There is ample parking. The service is friendly and attentive.

Wonderful atmosphere! Owners Nate & Laura make you feel welcome & like family. Beer taps are amazing & love wine Wednesday. Glad to finally have a neighborhood pub that is clean & we’ll run.

Great local beer selection. Good atmosphere, very clean, pretty quiet for a bar. Service is good, everyone is very friendly. There are board games to play, usually sports on TV. But the food is pretty bad, the portions are small and clearly microwaved. Come for the beer then go to eat at the Subway next door.

I love this place! They have an amazing selection of craft beer, great bar food, and the owners are very knowledgeable of what they serve. Nate will even play board games with us while we’re drinking.

Awesome place with extraordinary beer! Did I mention the 21+ policy? This is a place to hang out with friends enjoy a good beer and no children making noise. Superior to a bar scene due to that desire to talk at a normal level with good friends while enjoying an incredible environment.

I really like this place. Great beer selection and yummy munchies. I’m trying to understand why people are so upset about not being able to bring their kids in. This is a tap house and unfortunately, some idiot let his kid smear his dirty greasy hands all over the décor and walls and I was there to witness it. I’ve also been in plenty times prior to this to watch adults let their children act like heathens. I know it would be nice to take your kiddo and get a bite to eat and a delicious craft beer, but lets not be too mad that you can’t drink and drive with your kid, OK! The owners are fabulous folks! Always trying to improve their establishment and please the customers. Any new place goes through trials and errors trying to please everybody, but in this world today it seems impossible. I was very excited when this place opened because there is no other establishment that serves this many craft beers close to me. Sure there are others in Littleton, but this is the only one close to me. I’ve also been to other places in Littleton that serve craft beers and the wait staff seems stressed and completely ignorant to what craft beer is. Lame! If you have not been here and are contemplating whether to go, do it! Try some food and get a flight of beers to see which one is your favorite. Enjoy!

This has to be the cleanest bar I have ever been too. The staff is very friendly and the people that come here don’t look like trouble. :)

Fantastic selection of beers. I’m sure anyone could find something they like here. The staff is very friendly and quick to serve. Prices are fair and it’s a very fun place to be. I’m sure this will become one of my regular haunts.

Great selection of craft brews and spirits. You can get tasters and even flights! Kinda like being at a brewery in that they don’t serve full kitchen food. But their small plate menu — I had the meat and cheese plate — are great. If you want a good tap house with a solid selection in Littleton… give them a try!

My wife and I live very close to High Plains Tap House and have become somewhat regulars here. There are a lot of places to grab a drink in the area but frankly this place can’t be beat for one simple reason, the ever changing beer selection. The owners and staff are very friendly but in more of a casual way. They always seem willing to engage but quick to recognize if my wife and I are enjoying a private conversation. I honestly have only ever ordered food once or twice and it is kind of boring and pricey but they seem to switch up and try new things on the menu all the time. My wife and I also both appreciate the no kids atmosphere and the more intimate feel to the place. If I want a smiling robot to refill my Coors Light, bring me some dinner and overzealously check in on me while some kid cries 2 benches over, I’ll go to Applebee’s. When I want to sit down with my wife and have a nice conversation over a few glasses of delicious and exciting beers in a laid back setting, I’ll go to High Plains Tap House.

Guess they are not reading and reacting to their reviews. I too live in the area an was hoping they would be great option as a fun place to enjoy interesting beers and hang out. Unfortunately they have done very little to make themselves stand out and make you want to stop in. I keep trying them out and it is a bit like ground hog day. One of the owners is always planted at the end of the bar chatting endlessly wit a friend or regular seemingly disinterested in being there. The beer selection is very good but their bar tenders don’t fit the standard for the Colorado beer community and have little enthusiasm. They have a nice place with great potential but have not evolved at all. Pricing is defiantly an issue. It’s fine to pay $ 7 plus for something special or unique, but not for Colorado basics you can get anywhere. we usually leave after realizing we are going to have to pay premium prices for below average overall experience.

Good beers and great selection of them. Owners are unfriendly and food is expensive and tiny portions. Place is nice.

Awesome selection of craft beers, mostly from Colorado. Service is great, owners and servers VERY knowledgeable about beer. Good place to hang out if you like beer but they have good booze selection too. Ate the pulled pork sandwich and the popcorn both were delicious. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I stopped in at 4pm on Saturday afternoon with our daughter. We live in the area and were excited to have a new spot in the neighborhood. We planned to sit on the patio and sample a few appetizers and have a craft beer. The moment we walked in the door I noticed how silent and forlorn the place felt. There were a few customers at the bar, no one at any of the tables. No music, no one talking, just dead silence. A hostess approached us and announced that we would need to leave immediately because no one under 21 was permitted in the establishment and our daughter was unwelcome. I asked if we could sit on the patio and order food and I was told no. No kids. Ever. No exceptions. Not even on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Okay. Seems dumb. I can’t wait until this place closes and maybe a real café will move in. Shouldn’t take too long.

This is a craft beer bar, period. So if you want to drink your swill BMC and eat a cheeseburger while watching the game, this isn’t your spot. But a small oasis of microbrews in suburbia this most definitely is. Terrific and varied selection of taps. Not your typical Odell, New Belgium, Breckenridge type stuff, but lots of the smaller up-and-coming breweries around the state like Mountain Toad, Lone Tree, River North, Crazy Mountain, Grist etc. etc. I also liked that they had some out of state stuff like Dogfish Head and some Belgian brands. They offer small plate appetiziers to snack on while you’re imbibing. Wife and I shared Spinach Artichoke dip which we enjoyed. Would like to see them implement a happy hour, but they did have some cheaper Beers of the Day. We will definitely be back!

This is a drinking establishment that wants to be high end, yet I have had better service at places similar to Northshore. The décor is beautiful, however, the service is poor. Although I am not much of a beer drinker,(although I will drink a Corona, however, from the blogs the owners put out, drinking Corona is the bottom of the barrel — way to embrace clientele), my husband and I decided to try this place again. We went into this establishment and sat at the bar, the owner was chit chatting with patrons and we sat there a few minutes without being greeted. Completely ignored by one of the owners, the waitress finally came to serve us. My husband had a beer and I had a glass of the house merlot. They pulled the beer, very cold — but a lot of foam. My merlot, fermented. After my husband finished his beer, we asked for the check, we were both amazed the server did not ask what was wrong with the drink — another high end fail. The«food» menu is pitiful, beer sponge? Sounds like something my health insurance should cover. It has cracker and meat tray and a few other selections. This bar needs John Taffer to show them how to make this place more inviting without alienating their potential neighborhood clientele.

OK, here’s the deal — I really wanted to love this place. It is close to the house and offers something a little more upscale for the neighborhood. Here is where I feel it falls short: 1. A little pretentious with a stuck up vibe to be in a tiny strip mall in the neighborhood where it is located. You would think they think they are located in Lodo rather than off Wadsworth and Chatfield. 2. They do not want the average Joe to go there with $ 5 bottles of Bud Light and Coors and I can understand that but I think it limits the customer base, again because of the location. 3. No T.V.‘s and I am not sure about music — I think they had it set up for TV but decided against probably due to BMI fees. 4. What little food available(maybe 5 items) was a cold fare with no grill. 5. Some beers on the fancy printed menus were already crossed off. 6. Not a full bar, only a few Whiskeys. I liked the selection of beers but found it oddly short on Colorado beers. The staff was very friendly with smiles all around. I would like to see this place work but it just does not seem to fit the locale. Good Luck!!!

My friend lives a couple of blocks away from this place, and he invited us to join him for an impromptu guys night of drinking. It’s located in a strip mall far back in the ‘burbs. Inside is a large bar and a very spacious table area. Enough with the pleasantries, let’s get to the beer. They boast a massive beer menu, with a wide range from almost every corner of the globe. They also have some whiskey behind the bar, including a couple from local favorite Leopold Bros. Unfortunately, well over half of the beers on the tap menu were crossed off so there was a rather diminished supply to sample. Angie was our bartender. She took a very long time to greet us, and we had trouble getting her attention when it was time for another round. However, she was very friendly and talkative, gave us a sample of one of her favorites, and by the tail end of the night was more prompt with us. The prices were very reasonable, we each started with a flight and then moved on to a couple of full glasses and I paid less than $ 20. I don’t live anywhere near here, but seeing as how my buddy does I could certainly see myself coming back if I’m hanging with him.
