I moved to Houston years ago and still crave there food. It’s family owned and they really get to know you. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and I’m still in love. I am truly a tough reviewer(check my other reviews and you will see)

Be careful. I got the WORST case of food poisoning I’ve ever had. And yes, I am sure it was from here as it is the only food I ate all day.

Soo many sushi restaurants to choose from, when you are making the choice, this should be in your top 2! Especially if you’re downtown. The playboy roll is easily one of the best rolls in town anywhere. To the point where you will crave it if you have it. Also the best fried rice in town and great atmosphere!

Have you ever gone to a restaurant, waited forever to receive any service, finally order, and then regretted coming at all? Well that’s exactly what we experienced at Wasabi tonight. We(a party of 4) sat down at a table and literally waited 15 minutes before anyone even came over to take our drink order. The service continued to deteriorate from there. Another 20 minutes passed before I finally decided to get up and ask another waitress to please put in our order. When the food finally came, the udon noodle soup I ordered was completely devoid of flavor and the rolls were barely better. My boyfriend and I were really disappointed because we were welcoming a friend of ours who just moved to the area.

This place was great. We had 3 different rolls(volcano roll was delicious) and cold saki. Service was excellent and they have a legitimate sushi chef, who was really funny and friendly.

I hate leaving bad reviews. I don’t do anything without consulting Unilocal. But I’m finding it may not be as useful in Little Rock. I went here twice just because my first experience was terrible. This is the worst sushi I’ve ever had

Mediocre sushi, but it was inexpensive. Unfortunately, with sushi, you usually get what you pay for. Service was OK. Little Rock was just a stopping point, in our way home, after spending time, eating and drinking, in New Orleans and Houston, so it was a hard act to follow, but I feel Little Rock must have better options. Oh well, my husband wanted sushi.

One of my favorite foods to eat anywhere, and everywhere I go is sushi. And I pretty much get it for at least one meal every city I travel to. Upon searching on Unilocal, this place came up and was right around the corner from our hotel. Perfect distance away to strole down on a nice spring night. The River District sure is a nice place to walk around. And when good sushi is the destination even better! It was getting a little late, so the place was less the full. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered some soup and a few appetizers. Then an entrée to share, as well a few rolls of course. There was lists on the tables of the sushi they offer, with check boxes aside of each roll. So you could just check off what you wanted, and It would go to the sushi chef. This is always nice as it ensures you get exactly what you want. Wasabi is a typical Japanese/Sushi restaurant, with fresh ingredients, good service, and some interesting choices on the menu. If you like this kind of food, and are in Little Rock, it is worth it for a meal, or even just a little snack. The next time I am in Little Rock I will be stopping in here for sure.

A bit pricey, but that’s expected with sushi. The two rolls were very flavorful an delicious but the best thing I got was the fried rice with chicken. The rice wasn’t too dry or too greasy and the chicken was moist and had an excellent flavor. I can’t comment on the service being slow as we were the only two people in the place so we were served pretty quickly. Based on just the food, I would definitely eat here again

The sushi is delicious. That part is most important. It is a seat yourself type place, a husband/wife outfit. The service isn’t exemplary but it is quick and the atmosphere is nice. The prices are a little high but the rolls we ordered were top notch. The play boy roll is served wrapped in foil and on fire. Apparently they sell a lot of those. Good alcohol selection. We were in town for the marathon and ended up coming here twice.

Lived nearby for a few months. The food is great, the people and service is even better. Our favorite sushi rolls were the volcano 3, original volcano, and crunch munch. Make sure to ask for them extra spicy! My wife and I would make it a point to stop in once a week.

Everytime I come in to this place, I always leave happy. The staff isn’t the most attentive but I prefer the comfort of solitude whilst drinking my sake and enjoying my salmon sashimi. If you’re looking for doting servers who fawn over you, go to an Italian restaurant. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese, stop in and try it out.

Average food with average service. We popped in here on a Wednesday night for some apps and sushi. This is a ‘seat yourself’ establishment and it took several minutes for anyone to notice we had arrived. We ordered steamed edamame(average), seaweed salad(average), and four rolls(average). One member of the group ordered the orange chicken and it was greasy and sloppy. It is also the first time any of us had seen potato and mushrooms present with orange chicken. If you want food downtown and want to stay away from the River Market area, this would be fine but nothing to write home about.

Great sushi, great saki!!! Nice relaxed casual atmosphere. Family owned. Full bar. The service is a little slow, but not bad by any means. They have all the traditional rolls that you would expect, and the some funky ones with local themed names.

I would like to say that this place has awesome tasting sushi! I live in Orange County California and there are some great sushi joints there… Believe me! If a sushi place opens up there, and the quality and service are not up to par, it goes out of business. This place exceeded my expectations with the generous pieces of fish on each piece of sushi. Every piece I got was so fresh tasting. They also have a full bar and TVs there and the service was great. I did not order any rolls so I can’t comment on those, I am sure if they are anything like the nigiri, those are wonderful as well. I ate there twice this week and ordered yellowtail, white tuna, sweet shrimp, eel and you can tell from the cuts and presentation that the sushi chefs take pride in each piece. I will definitely be eating here again when I am in Little Rock again!

Been here twice within a couple of months for lunch. Both times, service was mediocre at best, sushi and sashimi were«ok.» For the price though, I would recommend other sushi restaurants over this one. For what you receive, food quality wise, amount of food and level of service, it’s over priced. Let me give you a couple of examples: server brings our food and small bowl for soy to dip in and leaves. No plates. Salmon sashimi was very salty. Server did check on us to refill my drink and did not refill with ice, just warm tea… so much for«iced tea.» And they are no where to be found it seems when you need to ask for something. Bottom line, it’s ok a place in a pinch, but if you have time to plan ahead, you will enjoy your experience more so elsewhere than here. Sorry Wasabi.

I am a fan of traditional sushi, so I was glad I was warned that this place is a more american version, I was prepared for it and I enjoyed it! I highly recommend getting one of the flaming rolls. They light them on fire next to your table and it gives the rolls a smokiness that was different from anything I have had before and was really good. The service was really friendly and prompt and he made good recommendations. The jar of warm Saki is enough for 4 Saki bombs and wasn’t too bad. It’s a fun place for something different in LR!

I’ve passed by Wasabi many, many times, but have never eaten there until recently. I found it to be pretty good! They have a spacious restaurant, good-enough service, affordable lunch options, and tasty food. I tried some kind of lunch sampler that came with the daily special(beef and vegetables this particular day), teriyaki chicken, half of a California roll, white rice, and salad. My friend had a shrimp dish and fried rice. Most lunch options are around $ 6-$ 8.
