Just not a great restaurant. We really wanted to like this place as my wife loves Korean food but we just weren’t impressed. Judging by the lack of other customer(noon on a friday and there were 2 other tables seated), this place isn’t doing well.

I had the most amazing spring rolls here. I came here for their Phở’, but fell more in love with the spring rolls. The rolls were light and crispy with a «to die for filling». The Phở’ was about a 7 on a scale from 1 – 10. The reason I didn’t rate it hire is they served it in a plastic bowl instead of a hot lava stone bowl. It just missed the mark with not being in the bowl. They really need to invest in fixing up the place some. I almost left when I walked in the door because it was so out dated(bad outdated). Glad I stayed to enjoy some great rolls!

My husband and I wanted to look for some Korean food and this is the only place that we found in LR. The food was okay but the portions was huge. The price is around $ 10-$ 15 per dish but considered their portions, i think its worth it. We couldnt finish everything.

Disappointing. Had a hankering for spring rolls and some sort of Asian fare. Ended up at Van Lang and ordered their tofu spring rolls and bibimbap. Both were less than fair. Get spring rolls anywhere else and go to Hanaroo for the bibimbap and get it served in the hot stone bowl. Sigh.

WARNING #1-I got a foodborne illness at Van Lang, not fun WARNING #2-this is not the Van Lang vietnamese restaurant anymore I went in to Van Lang & there were 2 other tables at the peak of lunch hour. The place was filthy, still questioning my judgement on why I didn’t turn around and leave. The sticky table was also disgusting. The drone, robotic server had absolutely no interest in being there and she was HORRIBLE. The bibimbap was a tired & cold pile of bad ingredients. The owner dressed in golf clothes came out after a few minutes I assume in his dirty kitchen to watch golf. At the front counter is a huge collection of golf trophies, maybe these clowns should go back to the course and then PLEASE shut down Van Lang before you sicken more innocent civilians. If you dare darken the door of this rat trap, don’t do as I did, head for the hills.

Of the places to order Phở in LR, this is prob lowest on the list, which is sad considering this used to be #1. Dare I say its because of the change in management over the years? Either way, considering it is now the closest place apart from WLR to get Phở, i go there only for convenience. Its not bad, but its not the greatest either.

Took my dad here because he was hungry I didn’t eat but when he got his food i was glad I didn’t order the broth looked like it was powder base it did not look like real phở broth. If you want good phở go to Mikes Café on Asher that’s the best and most authentic phở.

The tamarind soup is dynamite. The service is but so-so but it’s not too bad. Call in orders can be complicated, but the good food is worth it. The menu is expansive and it’s worth your time to find just the right thing. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Also, Sam’s Asian Market just two doors down makes the stop even more worth it.

I’ve never had the worse Phở of my life till I been there. The bowl of phở looks so disgusting with a few slices of brisket, scattered foamy bubble… disgusting! full of MSG! would never come back here!!!

Just OK. Eggs was overcooked on the Bibimbap that I ordered and that’s a big no no. If you’re hungry for Korean this may be your only option in LR.

The food is good! The price is a little bit high but overall the experience was great. The waitress is attentive and food comes out of the kitchen quickly. Except for the prices this place is great. Little rock doesn’t have a lot of ethnic food but this is definitely something added to the city.

Really its 3.5 stars. This is pretty much the only korean place in town which also serves viet and chinese dishes. We went for the Korean goodies. Right off the bat, this place is PRICEY. Come on people we are in little rock, you do not need to have a $ 45 soup on the menu. Some of the stuff was more expensive than places in SF. I took the parents and we got the following: 1. Bi Bim Bop x2($ 12 each) — one for my mom and one for me. I got sans rice. portion wise its eh for $ 12. Also they proceeded to forget meat in mine. idk if it was confusion cause i was like no rice or bean sprouts but they did bring some out after. I wish they put the sauce on the side like most places. 2. Bulgogi($ 15) — would recommend against this dish. it was tasty but the amount of meat you got was like small and literally you got more veggies than meat. It also comes with lettuce wrap but you got like 4 of them. 3. Stirfry Squid($ 15 — can’t think of the korean name) — this dish was actually really good and worth the $ 15. It was a much bigger portion than the bulgogi and portional to the veggies. Overall, the food was good but overpriced. I would come back but they really need to check pricing.

Keep on mind this store is no longer belong to Vietnamese. It owns by Korean now. So don’t expecting to much what call Vietnamese dishes. Second, the restaurant is gross. I don’t care what it is, but the owner kids(I guess) was there. Coloring and screaming. Do not recommend this restaurant for neither Vietnamese or Korean foods. :(

I have been to this place several times in the past and at most thought it had passable Asian food. Tonight I was in a hurry and just wanted to pick up something quick and I happened to be in the area. I picked the broken rice plate with pork(they were out of chicken, which is what I had originally wanted…) and to my surprise instead of the«rice plate with assorted vegetables and your choice of meat, and pork omelet» I got a box of regular rice topped with several slices of grilled pork. NOT worth the $ 10 I paid. Will not be going back ever again.

So, Little Rock to date has 3 places with Phở. I favor Van Lang’s phở over the others because of their broth and full flavor. With that said. their phở is sometimes awesome, and sometimes fail. Broth remains the same. Very inconsistent with the amount of meat they serve in the phở. The coconut drink isn’t fresh, but passable. Their sandwiches are terrible for being worth over $ 4. Spring roll sauce is ick, spring rolls are decent.

Whoever wrote the word«pretty full menu» and«fantastic food» is clearly clueless. I went there with another friend who left just as, if not more dissatisfied. This place is too expensive for the quality and the quantity of food they serve. I’ve tried the phở, kalbi and bulgogi and they are not generous with the quantity(compared to the price of other Asian places). I understand we don’t have many Asian restaurants here and hiking up the price may somewhat be justified. However, this place just isn’t worth it because: 1) the phở broth isn’t good; 2) many entrees cost more than $ 15; 3) extra noodles cost a whopping $ 2; and 4) service is mediocre at best. I do not recommend this restaurant, unless they drastically up the food quality, lower the price, or unless you decide to go there by convenience.

Ever since Chi’s stopped doing the Korean food, I’d been looking for ANYWHERE to get my Bibimbop fix filled. Went in for Phở, which I knew would be good(though I grew up in Little Saigon in Houston, so, like another reviewer said, there is better, just not in LR.), and discovered they’d switched to Korean ownership and had a pretty full Korean menu. Fantastic Korean food and very legit, though it was a little on the mild side. After working in Korea for 2 years, I kind of expect to leave sweating from the chilis, but that being said, the flavor was fantastic, and taking into consideration the fact that real Korean vegetables aren’t really all that easy to come by here, it was incredible. My only complaints are that I wish they had a few more options on the Kimchi types and that they hadn’t overcooked the egg on the Bibimbop. Other than that, Absolutely fantastic meal and I’ll be back again!

First off… I had to wait at least 30 minutes before they would take our orders. On a Sunday afternoon. One worker and I was craving phở real bad… Second off. Don’t plan on getting the Thai ice tea… It was really. Really. Watered down.. I was going to get more food but I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat anymore so I just got a large phở. With everything in it… think it was b6 … phở was 4⁄5 but I was so hungry it didn’t matter at the time… It was surpising when I realized all the workers were Korean. Made me chuckle. But yea overall is 3⁄5 if you want just phở I’d recommend it. Haven’t tries the rice plates so you’re on your own there. Phở was about 7 – 9 $ pretty expensive IMO

Little Rock doesn’t have a lot of phở options. The food is a bit pricey, but it is served fast, and fresh. Stick with the basics, and you’ll be happy.
