The Cons: Parking Security Landscaping Entrance Gate Courtesy Officer? The Perks: Clean on move in Maintenance response time Quiet Location So, I don’t like to list Cons without an explanation. All issues are outside of the apartment itself. Let me stress, the actual apartment is amazing. But there are overall issues with the complex. I am almost half way through my lease. So far the parking has been horrible, especially if you don’t get home until 11 at night. There are parking garages that you can get for $ 70 a month. From what I’ve seen, these mostly get used for storage, and are no help to the parking situation. In the past 5 months our car has been broken in to and our other vehicle has been vandalized. There is an entrance gate, but people tail gate through it all the time, and this issue doesn’t seem to be getting addressed. We tried to call the courtesy officer, but were told we would just have to call LRPD to handle our issue. And finally, when it rains, the first floor apartments in my building look as though their at risk of flooding.

I have lived in ten apartment complexes, moving often during college and internships. This is BYFAR the worst apartment. The second bedroom in the apartment has flooded three times. Each time we have to move everything out of the bedroom while fans blow for days to dry the room. After that only the padding underneath the carpet is replaced, and the disgusting moldy carpet is not replaced. Management will do NOTHING to resolve the problem and will not offer any compensation in return. As if this isn’t bad enough it took 6 months for our cracked bathtub and broken front door to be fixed. We had near $ 300 electric bills for 3 months. Everytime we told management that the thermostat was broken we were told that we didn’t know how to use a thermostat. We went an entire week without a microwave. How hard is it to bring a new microwave and plug it in??? This place is Awful and the staff could care less about any problems.

Ya’ll– save yourselves the heartache and don’t bother even stopping by to see these bordello shanties. Renting here entitles you to nightly visits from roaches and centipedes, front row seats to domestic fights between your neighbors, drug deals, clown car shows(watching 15 illegals pile out of one vehicle and go into their one apartment. Yes, 15 folks living in one apartment and mgmt doesn’t care), fun games of stack the trash because the compactor gets full and 50 bags of trash sit on the sidewalk. You also get to test your gag reflexes as you can imagine how that smells. Take your kids to the pool to expand their vocabulary. I love that my three your has learned the f bomb, Mfer and b#tch just from a few visits to the pool. The best part is calling mgmt to complain about things. Magically, they live on site and NEVER see any of these issues… You can get all this and more for the low low price of 1100 a month.

DONOT live here. Ashburry at Chenal is disappointingly mismanaged. My apartment flooded due to all of the rain, soaking the carpet and molding overnight. Rather than replace the carpet, management dried out the apartment and put the same moldy carpet back down. Furthermore, the cleaning crew threw ALL of my bedroom items into the kitchen and left the door unlocked when they left. I was consequently unable to live in my apartment for three weeks because the area that was letting in water was never fixed and the apartment continued to flood every time it rained, making the moldy carpet even worse. Management KNEW that my apartment was going to keep flooding, so they decided to not put new carpet down. Rather than communicating this to me, they left giant fans blowing 24⁄7 for almost the entire three weeks. When I asked them when the issue would be resolved, they explained that they had a landscape issue and that they knew my apartment would continue to flood. Why they thought it was appropriate to never communicate this with me and to not fix the problem is beyond my comprehension. I consequently broke my lease and received payment back for the three weeks I could not live there. So in a nut shell, it is not worth the risk of living here.

The staff(2 out of 3 just walked out) is/was amazing. The apt are nice. The grounds are ok. The value for your money is a little low. I think the apts are over priced by $ 100. I would rev omen the property as a whole. Very few little apt complex are as quiet. Well at least in my building things are good.
