TCBY

I have been to all of the yogurt places in LR so far, with the exception of Red Mango, and TCBY still wins hands down. It’s a bit on the pricer side, but flavor wise, totally worth it. Diversity of flavors, including flavors you’d find in your local ice cream shop like Cookies and Cream and Birthday Cake, as well as soft serve from the machine. I love Coffee ice cream so I tried their Coffee flavor and their White Chocolate soft serve swirled together. Awesome! The White Chocolate actually tasted like that flavor instead of like sweet air whipped water, which that flavor tastes like in most places I’ve been to.
Drawbacks? You can’t put as much in a cup as you want and you can’t put as many toppings as your cup can hold, because it isn’t any self service here; the kids behind the counter actually earn their tips by serving you. Also, they charge by the scoop on toppings. But if you’re watching your weight and/​or your sugar, both of those points are pluses not minuses.

Not the typical Fro-​yo place I was imagining, but it was pretty good. Being that this chain is one of the first fro-​yo companies, I do admire the selection of flavors. I would like to think of it as actual ice cream that doesn’t make you as fat. The flavors taste almost as if it were real ice cream and the best part is, the texture is not too far from the real thing. Since it is ice creams healthy twin, you still can get those nuts and pieces in the yogurt that ice cream provides. (ie: mocha almond with actual almond inside). Big Plus.
My only down fall is when I get fro-​yo I usually like mine tart (this is MY opinion). If I were to get ice cream, I’d get real ice cream. Although I do not know the nutritional comparison between this and ice cream, I am sure you are cutting down on a lot of fat with this alternative. I say why not!
Bonus: its NOT SELF SERVE. THANK YOU!!! I hate when places do that. Yeah I get that you can choose the flavors you want, but it brings down the quality of the yogurt.

Toping selection is not bad, I choose not to get any so I cannot review the selection.

I lived here in LR 15 years ago. When I moved back recently, I was so happy TCBY was still in business at this location. Wonderful fro yo, just like it was 15 years ago. I’m glad some things never change. Go have a treat here. You won’t be disappointed.

They have delicious yogurt that taste like ice cream with half the guilt.
