In my experience, Sky is one of the better sushi places in Little Rock. The sushi is always fresh and fairly priced, especially since all the rolls come with 10 pieces. You really can’t beat their portion sizes. They have a decent selection of traditional and house rolls.

We go there frequently. The food is always delicious(we always get sashimi and rolls). Special mention to the No Carb roll(uses cucumber instead of rice). I rated them with a 4 because on our last visit the service was pretty slow: it took a little over 50 minutes to get us our food from the time we ordered. We’ll continue to go since we like the place, food, and service(most times).

Went out here for sushi last night. And even though it was really busy our server was polite and on top of everything, definitely one of the better sushi restaurants in the area.

Smoked salmon nigiri is awesome. Louisiana roll is solid; spicy but not overpowering. Scallops were good but the real highlight is the risotto. Very creamy, slightly sweet and salty. Overall a solid 4 stars.

This is hands down the best sushi place in town. We dine here at least once a month. The Mardi Gras roll and the Baked Scallop roll are must tries. They are called Sky Modern Japanese because they do more than sushi. Their dinner dishes are amazing. The Diver Scallops with mushroom risotto is amazing as well as the Sea Bass. The hibachi grill chefs are perfectionists as well, but if you want a «show» you’re in the wrong place. They cook serious food. The service is ALWAYS great and the owners are beautiful people that take the time to get to know their regular customers. Do not miss out on this fantastic place.

Food very tasty and very fresh. I travel many places and I would put this place in the top percentage. Staff very friendly and eager to make sure you have everything you need. I sat at the sushi bar and had a great conversation with the chef. Great place with good food.

This place was an unplanned find for us and it was stunning(and I don’t use that term lightly). I had a lunch signature salmon dish that was simply amazing on two levels. First, fish is notoriously difficult to cook well, and everyone does salmon. Here, the salmon was absolutely exceptional: soft but firm, crispy skin, simply astounding. I cook a lot and I simply cant do salmon like this — it was just savory perfection. But, the dish that surrounded it was absolutely wonderful and a complexity of flavors that was genuinely a joy. And all of that on a lunch menu. I can’t wait to go back — it’s at the top of the list for going back for dinner…

They’re expensive compared to other Japanese hibachi in the area, and they don’t cook the food in front of you. So you’re paying the high prices, and not even getting the show. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. And they automatically charged me gratuity.

By far the best hibachi I’ve experienced in Little Rock. What I really appreciate the most is that I order my filet medium rare and it comes out medium rare. I’ve been to several dozen hibachi places in the nation and it’s very«rare» to find one who correctly cooks their steaks to temp.

My boyfriend and I went to the restaurant and waited a full hour for our food outside other customers that arrived after us were served before us. We kept being told we were next. I honestly don’t think that sushi of all things should take this long.

We were looking for hibachi and thought this sounded good! There’s only one hibachi grill there, so we weren’t able wait. It smelled awesome and the staff was so friendly. We will definitely try again– I think it’ll be worth it! Four stars for the atmosphere, friendliness and aromas!

Eggplant appetizer is lovely. My go to roll is the Red Dragon. Ask to sit in Billy’s section. He’s the man :)

Sky Modern has a good reputation around town, but my experience was not that good. The sushi did not take fresh at all and the rice was not that great. Overall, not worth the price.

Probably one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in LR. Very clean and modern atmosphere. Sushi rolls were very fresh and big. My boyfriend had the Louisiana Roll and the Volcano Roll and he said it was the best Volcano Roll he had ever had. I had the Crazy California… Very yummy. Absolutely no complaints. Neither of us had tried cold sake before, but the waitress suggested Nigori and explained to us the difference in filtered vs. unfiltered and what to expect in flavor. She was very helpful. Also loved the opportunity to sit on the patio. Absolutely will come back here.

Food is great! Butttt incredibly slow. I ordered a(to go) order and it took 45 min. Sitting in the small waiting area was terrible. I will be back but only if I have a lot of time.

My dear friend and his wife and I are sushi snobs and we have tried every sushi bar in and around little rock. This is hands down the best sushi bar in central Arkansas. First off they had Kirin on tap. Huge plus. I am not one for the hibachi grill with the flash and clanking spatulas. Thankfully they only have two tables for hibachi. I will say this, the smoke and smell that I had seen in other hibachi grills was not here. This is place is fresh clean with an upscale décor. One doesn’t go to a sushi bar for a quick dinner. You go with good friends to catch up on everything and relax. As I have said in reviews of past sushi establishments, sushi is an art and the chef makes them all by hand. As he should if not don’t go there ever again. Sky’s creations are all handmade and we had three separate orders. My favorite was the blue fin tuna sashimi. As a purist I tend to pass on the sauces but I did however have a dumpling dipped in one of their sauces and it was Devine. If you want a great atmosphere with an incredibly fresh sushi and an upscale crowd,(especially the four beautiful blondes sitting at the next table, loved the one dressed in white polo shoes and cutoff shorts and white sweater,) then go here. Return I will next trip LR.

Went for lunch. Wonderful menu, great dishes and ambience. I had the seaweed salad and fried eggplant which were wonderful, the fried tofu entrée which was a little undercooked, but still very tasty. All in all, great place, entrée left a bit to be desired but will look forward to the next visit.

Ok… I’ve been on this huge sushi kick the last month or so. This was the first time that I have been here and definitely won’t be my last visit! Starting off with the wine list they have a really great one with reasonable prices. We grabbed two different rolls for appetizers. My husband got the Cherryblossom the ingredients on that were raw salmon, tuna and avocado. I got the Mardi Gras roll with fried crawfish with a blend of crab salad on top. Both were top notch and I highly recommend it to anybody who likes sushi. My husband’s main entrée was the diver scallops over risotto with mushrooms and spinach. I think he almost licked the plate when he was done. The sushi roll filled me up so all I had was the clear soup a.k.a. onion soup. Delicious! I highly recommend this to anyone who likes Japanese food. The ambience and the design of the restaurant really sets the mood for a great meal!
