There is nothing like coming back home and tasting this amazing barbecue that I grew up on. I highly recommend you stop in to eat some good southern bbq!

The BBQ is 4 stars. It’s good, it’s not amazing. The atmosphere is 2 stars. The pricing is fair. If you are in town looking for some BBQ I have to say I would recommend whole hog. location, atmosphere is better and BBQ and price is equal.

Dammmmmmm the portions are huge here and it’s soooooo cheap, ribs are soooo good and fall off the bone, pulled pork and beef brisket were awesome and love the southern hospitality service, this place may need a little renovation especially their restrooms –____– also there was no ac when it was 90s outside… but the food does not spoil the experience

Service was speedy during lunch hour. Had chopped beef BBQ. It was good, but baked beans and a side of greens stole the show! The greens had just a hint of a kick to them and flavored the old southern way with meat and drippings! :) Will come back for the Greens!

Beans were great, ribs were cold, but still delicious, they were out of like half the menu, too many other great bbq joints in little rock area to waste my time coming back here.

This is my favorite BBQ in Little Rock. The pork ribs are incredibly tender and smokey. Make sure to get greens as a side — they’re flavorful and perfectly cooked.

When u want BBQ it’s hard to beat sims. This ain’t a place to go fine dining. It’s a place I call for takeout. Any day of the week I want, I can hit the wife up and say Sims? And she’s like yup go get it. And the potato salad is great!

I’ve been eating at this Sims’ location weekly since it opened, and still believe there’s no better service or food to be found anywhere in Little Rock. Their sweet mustard-based sauce is good enough to just sop up with a piece of white bread, which conveniently comes on most of their plates. My fav is the half chicken plate, with Sims’ delicious, perfectly smoked chicken with the great flavor of hickory. The ribs are the best anywhere – tender, fall-off-the-bone perfection! And the prices are so much lower than the competition, you can eat until you’re stuffed and not put a dent in your wallet. I highly recommend Sims’ to anyone who loves good barbecue.

Good portions, excellent service. Check it out if you’re ever in the area. Could only recommend that they add more beer to the menu ;)

We visited Sim’s Bar-B Que on a Tuesday evening about 7:30 p.m. The restaurant was busy with take out orders and pick ups. We were directed to a table and a waitress soon appeared to take our orders. My wife ordered a pork plate with sides of slaw and beans. She was very happy with the pulled pork and received a larger portion than she could eat. She disliked the beans and I agreed they had an off-taste, but couldn’t determine why. Instead of pork BBQ, I ordered a hamburger, which I was surprised to find on the menu. I received one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever eaten here in Little Rock. The bun was warmed and buttered. The patty was large and juicy, although cut in half.(I assume to ensure it is fully cooked.) There was a large section of lettuce and a freshly sliced tomato. I thought the yellow mustard was a bit over applied, but again, that was one delicious burger! The restaurant was renovated a few years ago and the new floor and wall tiles, along with the light tan paint, really improved the look and feel. Now if they can just find a better location for their collection of BBQ trophies that attest to their culinary abilities.

Prior to my time living in Kansas City, I would’ve rated this barbecue a four or five. It is quite good for Arkansas barbecue, but thanks to my enlightened barbecue journey, I’m giving this a three. The ribs were fine to good, but there was no evidence of that beloved pink smoke line that I’ve grown to love from other joints. Also, if memory and taste buds serve me right, then I think the sauce was quite vinegar-y, which is not my favorite variety. Service was a bit slow and spotty. My date also had barbecue sauce spilled on his pants, and the server didn’t even notice. Pretty disappointing, especially since we were just in for a weekend and had a limited wardrobe. Pros: They serve forties!!!(and pitchers, and regular beers) They have the seemingly bbq mandatory strawberry soda. Mmmm! Good green beans. Good barbecue for Arkansas. Cons: Slower service, okay barbecue compared to national standard.

My boyfriend and I were on a road trip through the country to taste BBQ and we stopped off in Little Rock to visit our friend. We were on a tour of Central High School and asked our tour guide for a recommendation for a good BBQ place and she directed us to Sim’s. Love @ first bite. Great food, great prices, and such a great place. We walked out with a gallon of their mild BBQ sauce to take back home.

I liked Sim’s BBQ… but I didn’t love it. Our waitress was very attentive, the food came out quickly, and was very flavorful. However, the atmosphere is nothing special, and I wouldn’t call it amazing BBQ. The sauce was a tad bit spicy for my taste, and I’m not a fan of white bread with BBQ– I would have preferred a regular bun. Nothing wrong with our visit, just a personal preference I suppose.

I always enjoyed Sims Barbeque since I was little. The food is very good! The ribs are so tender that it make you lick the bone. They also have a unique sauce that is the best I ever taste! Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!!!

If you are in the vacinity of Little Rock, Arkansas, this is a must stop. Good quality food. My favorite location is on John Barrow Road. I’ve never been disappointed. You get more than what you pay for everytime. The ribs are top notch.

Really good BBQ. Quick Service, but I wish they had a BIGTV. Cheap 40’s and Chicken dinners… cant go wrong.
