Proposals in the Heights

This place is a dream. I came here after being treated horribly by a dress shop in Jacksonville, AR and they completely turned my day around. From the moment we walked in Erica treated my family so wonderfully. I flew in from LA to dress shop with my Mom and my 82 year old grandmother. I brought a few friends a long as well. They placed us in a private room and the fun began! I purchased a gorgeous wedding gown and I am so happy I found this place. They are not on commission so there is zero pressure to buy. Such a great experience!

I really wanted to love Proposals. I loved my friend who helped me with all of the dozen dresses I tried on, but I just couldn’t get behind the store fully. Oh, the women there are so nice, they will tell you that an appointment is not required, but you should make an appointment. It helps them help you, and it’s just courteous. I can’t tell you how many people came in very surprised to find out that they needed an appointment in order to try on. Maybe this was their first rodeo, but I would hope a lady’s internal manner structure would instruct her to make an appointment. Guess not.
I found the selection at Proposals somewhat limited, but as I understand it, they are revamping their entire store, so some lines they carry now, they will no longer; and they will be adding other bridal lines. The prices, though, are pretty incredible. I aso wish they utilized more of their space in the front for bridal gowns. As it stands, the majority of the space is used for bridesmaids dresses, mothers dresses, and party dresses. They have an amazing selection of those.
All of the ladies of Proposals were extremely responsive. I was clearly dying of a heat stroke, and I never had to ask for them to turn up the AC. They kept refilling my wine glass (before lunch, mind you), and that was most appreciated. I do wish the little stool you stand on to admire yourself in the 180 degree mirror was a little more stable. I felt like I was going to topple over.
I REALLY want Proposals to be successful. Little Rock badly needs a high end option for bridal gowns. David’s Bridal is not for everyone.

This place is great. Wonderful service, wonderful selection. They have beautiful upscale gowns, along with some that are more reasonably priced, but still lovely.
All of the consultants are nice, but I thought Betsy was simply amazing. She knew what I wanted better than I did!
They definitely gave me the impression that they wanted me to look my best, not just make money off me. When I was torn between two gowns, one way less expensive than the other, Betsy told me that she preferred the cheaper gown on me. And she was right!
If you’re shopping for a wedding gown, this place is definitely worth your time.
