Chuy’s

I just want to brag on the lunch crew today at Chuy’s. They are amazing. I took a high school group in today after an event for lunch. Lacrista and Greg were so kind and gracious. They accommodated our large group as easily as they would have a small group. Thank you so very much for making our visit fantastic! The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Thank you to the manager who made sure that everything went smoothly. I cannot thank you enough. I would highly recommend Chuy’s.

As a patron of the original Chuy’s I approve. Our waiter was superb, his name was Ziggy. I always order the beef fajitas and the tortillas are delicious, homemade, and so fluffy. Loved the mango-​strawberry swirl margarita. Creamy jalapeño is a must and so is the flan and tres leches.

My daughter and I were visiting from Texas and we went there with 8 other people. Our server was Tanisha, who was so friendly and had a wonderful sense of humor. She did a fantastic job of taking care of our table.

Very good, Ziggy our waiter was excellent. He kept the chips and salsa coming and he didn’t forget a single thing and I am a high maintenance person.

Waiters and waitress are friendly. Hostesses… Need more training. Spencer is great! Love the food. Will def come back!!!

The extra star goes to my waitress Lachrista who was amazing. She always checked on us and had our drinks refilled before it was completely emptied, brought napkins, warm chips and etc. she was on top of it.
On to the food: so so. I’ve had better Mexican food but for what it’s worth and the price, I guess you get what you pay for. My taco platter was huge (I rather get quality vs quantity). The hard taco shells were stale so that was a big disappointment so I just used the chips to make nachos. The Mexican rice was so so. One of my child ate her cheese quesadilla & fries whereas the other one only took 1 bite. My guest has hard tacos too and the shell was stale as well.

I love Mexican food. This place was above average and I’ll tell you why. I have to give them points for bringing out fresh chips and salsa, and they keep it coming. I can always taste when the oil is old and these tasted fresh. The salsa was nice and spicy. I ended up ordering a veggie enchilada. It was actually pretty good. I’ve had this some places that just melts into a large pile of cheese and oil. This tasted fresher. And I love Hatch chili peppers! I spent a winter down in New Mexico last year and these things can become addictive.
The reason i won’t give it five stars is the service. I went there with my dog for lunch. There were only two other tables with people. The waitress looked hurried and was not very personable. When you are coming through to check on my please stop and make eye contact. Don’t just shout out «is everything ok?» as you cruise on by without stopping. If I wanted something I’d still have to flag you down. And for god sakes when its 75–80 °F out, or any temp for that matter, offer my dog a goddamn bowl of water. I don’t ask for much. It’s pretty standard to after to well behaved dogs. I’m taking off a whole two stars just for the waitress. Please slow down and be more mindful of your guests.

Absolutely amazing service! Server was respectful & super sweet! Food was to die for yummy. Cheese dip is on point! The one in VA need to step up its game… THIS ONE IS SO MUCH BETTER! I recommend the stuffed Avocado & the chica chica plates is amazing! Great food over all & well deserving of a 5 star rating!
