Fairfield Inn & Suites

After discovering that our reservation was mysteriously cancelled at another hotel we were sent here. At 3am after driving 8 hours. The front desk manager was sitting in the lobby smoking. The room smelled of mildew and everything was grossly damp. Walking to our room required dodging buckets catching water dripping from the ceiling below. Apparently the hotel is no longer part of any chain due to its lack of standard care (or so we were told at the hotel next door). It’s busy at all hours and the breakfast was decent. All of the staff that I interacted with were nice and pleasant. The accommodations were just icky.

if I wanted the 10 $ lower rate. Room was ok, hospitality was 180° degree opposite from last nights stay at Fairfield inn in Vicksburg MS which was great.

We checked in at about 7:30 pm. we thought we were getting a king bed only to discover 2 queens. We’ve been on the road for nearly two weeks and have stayed at several eplaces along the way. This is the third, and by far the worst! No microwave or refrigerator in the rooms? Wow, even the cheap places have those! Ice machine only on the 2^nd floor? We were on the 3^rd… what a hassle. Leaky toilet.. It refills every ten minutes or so and is annoying! I’ve always disliked the heating and cooling systems in all hotel as it is, but add that leaky toilet. …
I don’t know the age of this Inn, but it needs bunches of maintenance AND CLEANING! Cracked tiles & grout and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. Worn electrical receptacles, and more. well sees what the morning light shines on t this place but I’m not being anything looks any better. Breakfast will have to be outstanding to even partially sway my opinion. For what is worth, I say go somewhere else. And further from six flags if bunches of kids running around bothers you! And the worst WiFi specs I’ve seen yet. .11mbps.

It was nice & relaxing

Good rates, but the first room we were placed in smelled like an ashtray covered up by cloying chemicals. I don’t know if they had tried to clean it or not, but it smelled horrible. However, the staff was excellent and apologized profusely, and immediately moved us to another room that smelled fine. Not a great first experience, but a good response from the staff.
