My salon is closed on Sundays of course and this place is right behind my house so I went in for a simple blow out. Michelle was great to chat with but she used a brush that I *knew* was going to make my hair super frizzy even though I specifically said, «Smooth» when I described what I wanted. 4 or 5 people went through the chair beside me while she was doing my hair. I have very thick coarse hair so it usually takes most stylists 45 minutes to dry it out smooth and straight. When I noticed how many ppl were coming and going and I was still stuck there, I noticed I’d been there over an hour. When I pointed out that it was frizzy and that’s exactly what I did not want, she said she would have to use a straight iron. *Sigh.* I was in the chair an hour and a half which is ridiculous for a basic wash & style. When she was finally finished, we went to the registers where she changed the service. She said she was charging me for long hair(my hr does not fall to my shoulders), and that added at least $ 10 to the total. I’ve had a couple of other stylists do my hair there before this unfortunate incident and I was pleased both times. However, when Michelle was done at the register, I ended up being charged $ 45(!). for a wash and blow-out! That is higher than a real salon! Give me a break. I spoke with the manager a couple of days later and all she was interested in was how long my hair was. She said the owner would want to know. Nothing about the fact that it took close to three times longer than it should have. I guess the franchise/owner isn’t too interested in keeping my business. I won’t return and I won’t take my son there any more either. There are too many other real salons right there(Karma is excellent! and TN is great too) to waste so much time(and MONEY!) on a place that doesn’t care about my dissatisfaction.
