Subway

One of the worst Subways I have encountered. When I came in, the manager (owner?) was on the phone and was carrying on a conversation while he was making my sandwich. Needless to say, I had to tell him twice what I wanted on my sub. The three times I have been here the bread was as hard as a rock. The lady that assists him is not friendly at all. It’s worth the drive to go to another subway.

This location has been below the bar for the few times in 2 years I have been coming here. The employees/​possibly owners, seem to be in a rush while there is no other customer but myself. I have noticed them also tossing the ingredients onto my sub rather than placing them to have it fit well with others. The owners/​employee or 2, also never have a welcoming image or attitude. It feels like I am disrupting their boring day.
Last but not least they overcharge. The taxes in Lisle are lower than other towns that I have bought Subway and the total has always been 1 – 2 dollars more. I don’t feel they understand customer service or loyalty. They don’t honor deals as well nor do they give u a benefit.
Please understand this review is targeting the people who appear to be owners who also work there. The regular employees I have encountered are completely ok.

Decidedly average Subway staffed by people who couldn’t possibly care less about making good sandwiches. Wait, why am I leaving a Unilocal review for a Subway?

I know, it is Subway — one might be thinking «how could they let you down». Doesn’t one know what they are getting. Well, this is how… this location is charging to have your sub toasted. Whaaat? He mumbled it at first and when we had him repeat it… while the sub is now getting a tan inside the toaster… he says it more clearly. $ 1 to toast. A DOLLAR? We said no thanks. So out the sandwich comes… half toasted.
I understand charging for extra ingredients, but $ 1 to toast it. That is a core part of the sandwich. It’s why some people go otherwise why not end up at Quiznos. $ 1…that is pretty extreme. I don’t know if they charge for all the subs but the ‘on sale’ subs they tried.
