Barkapalooza is such a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon with your pup! This festival offers a ton of local vendors and fun for the whole family. Last year I bought my dog an antler bone and an «I love my Granddog» magnet for my mom — both reasonably priced and from local businesses! There were all types of vendors there selling everything from dog clothing, to treats, to beds, bones, and more. A photo booth was available to take pictures with your dog, and there was a fun(and free) dog toy making station where volunteers helped braid chew toys out of fabric. You could even stop by the ADOPT vendor to inquire about adopting a new doggy best friend! Dog olympics was a ton of fun to watch(especially for the kiddos). The DJ and food trucks really completed the day. My favorite part? Meeting all the other pups who attend the event! Such a dog-filled day. Barkapalooza is put on by the West Suburban Humane Society, so be sure to check there calendars as this is typically an annual event! Pro tip: Unilocal usually has a booth at this event, so be sure to stop by for some fun freebies for you and your dog!
