Went there on 5÷13÷16 with wife and son. The staff from the time we walked in the door were very cordial. The homemade bread was great, the waiter was great and hit it off with my kid. The entrees were very good. The owner also came around asking how things were going for us. I appreciated that personal touch. We are going back this weekend.

When this placed first opened they were amazing, they had great food, great service, beautiful restaurant. However, the past few years it has went down dramatically, the owner is never there anymore and they now have some very horrible staff. Extremely rude, food is always burnt. I keep giving them another try but I have been disappointed for the past 5⁄6 try’s.

A great local restaurant that never disappoints. The food is always great from salads to dinners to dessert. The salads are large and filling and the pasta dishes are always delicious. The seafood is good and fresh. I am not a big bread eater but the bread is always warm and fresh when delivered. One of the best features is the BYOB. It is nice to be able to bring your own selection of beverages to enjoy with your meal. If you are looking for a good bite to eat, I suggest Giottis.

Horrible service & food was just o.k. Not impressed at all… Very disappointed. They lost our cork and we have no idea where this one came from– maybe the garbage? It was the 4th attempt at a cork to fit. Also they kept forgetting one member at our table… Didn’t take his order– he had to ask to order after she left the table. Pasta was undercooked. Just a bad experience.

This update is to reflect that Giotti’s management contacted me to express their concern over my experience last week. I find that managers and business owners who take the time to try and resolve bad experiences, typically care about their business and the product that they put-out. As such, I am increasing Giotti’s service score in my previous review to a 1⁄5 as opposed to a –1 /5. I have no doubt that the issues we experienced were addressed with the server, and hopefully this will enable Giotti’s to ensure that the type of behavior we experienced from that server will never happen to anyone else again. With the updated service score, this improves my overall rating from a 2 to a 3 — as I am rounding-up for the manager taking the time out of her day to reach-out and address my poor experience.

The food is OK. The atmosphere was OK Service — needs improvement Price — ridiculous !!! It is Harrisburg! NYC prices on Linglestown rd in a strip mall. $ 14 for personal pizza that is the equivalent of two slices from a typical pizza shop. Explore other local places…

I’ve been going to this nice little Italian place for I would say about 7 – 8 years and I’ve loved it every single time. The bread is amazing, the food is fresh, the owner is very personable and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place if you like Italian they have a great selection on their menu. P.s my favorite thing to get is the linguini with shrimp scampi and it’s amazing every single time. My friends and family have tried many other things with no complaints. A+

Had a family dinner for 9 to celebrate a birthday there last weekend and man did they nail it. The group was aged 9 to 70+ and to a person everyone raved about their meal. 4 adults, 3 teens and 2 tweens and they batted a thousand. Food came out hot and ready — tuff to do w a big party. Server was great which added to the evening.

The food is pretty good at Giottis. I like their antipasto salad, the chicken marsala and their tortellini tri-colore pasta with the spicy marinara sauce instead of the creamy rose sauce. The staff are friendly. You can join their email list to get coupons every so often. Sometimes they mess up the order when I order takeout(ex: one time they gave me the antipasto appetizer instead of the antipasto salad and I had to drive back to have them correct it).

As I called to make a reservation I was greeted over the phone with just a «hello»? My husband ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which he said was«okay» and I ordered the gnocchi which I have to say was the best part of the evening. It was delicious. Service was okay. Our server dashed off so quick after placing our dinners in front of us that I didn’t even have a chance to ask her for shredded cheese on top. Nor did she ever come back to ask us how our meals were. The owner walked by about 5 min later and he topped my meal with cheese. And about 5 min after that our server came back to check on us. Giottis used to be so much better years ago. Wish they would higher their standards and get it together. Also. They’ve changed their bread too. Bring back the bread you used to have.

Food was good. Service left a little to be desired… our waiter seemed nervous and not too knowledgeable about the menu. Overall an ok experience. Will have to give it another try to see if it’s any better.

My wife and I went to this place on a recommendation from a set of friends with our sons(2 and 4). After entering we were immediately greeted by a male host who sat us to our seats. The place is very nicely decorated, I was almost worried about having the kids with us. The service and food was excellent. I got the meat ravioli and my wife got the penne vodka. The portions were good and the food was excellent. Throughout our meal, the host walked around and was checking in on everyone. He would stop by and make our kids laugh, and made sure we were happy with our meal. I sort of figured he was the owner, but wasn’t sure so I asked and he was just an all around awesome person. He even brought out some cake on the house for our kids since he saw they were eating their food. I recommend this restaurant to people with or without kids. The owner made our dining experience one of the best we’ve had in a long time and we will be going back for sure.

Service was good as our waitress was very attentive… pasta with meat sauce was good and my husband had chicken and broccoli — overall thought it was good… they are BYOB

Great place! Their bread is homemade, and their pastas are outstanding; best of all, it’s BYOB with no corkage. Service has always been really stellar too — they try hard, and they really represent the restaurant well. The gnocchi Caprese is my favorite, followed by their pollo chicken dishes. Bonus points for being able to order their pizza for dinner(some places will only let you order it for carryout), so that is nice. If i have a knock against the place, it’s that most of their desserts come from Sweet Street, but honestly, you will probably be too full by the end of dinner to order dessert anyway, so no big deal. Overall, the service is great, and there’s tremendous value in what you get!

I couldn’t even stay to place an order. This place has been going downhill for a while now. But I enjoyed it so much 4 years ago I decide to give it another try. I’m seated and given a menu. I had to wipe the seat off to be able to sit down. So Many Crumbs. Immediately I’m regretting giving this place another try. I open the menu. Covered in more Crumbs, grease and food chunks smeared across the pages. Just absolutely filthy. I’m telling myself it will be okay, I’m going to wash my hands as soon as I’m done touching this menu. That is when a hostess walks by the table while sneezing into the open air. No attempt to cover the spray coming my direction. No apologies either. I got up and left. Haven’t been back.

Met friends there this past Thursday evening. I have to admit, I too was a bit intimidated by the mediocre or poor restaurant ratings. Happily, I did not have that experience at all. The restaurant is located just off of Linglestown Road and is on the corner, parking is close and easy. It is not an overly large restaurant, but it is nicely decorated and diners have space from one another. The restaurant is BYOB. I made a reservation, and it was handled professionally and warmly. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. Our server was training a new server, and they both were exceptionally attentive and efficient without being annoying or disappearing. Service was excellent. The bread served is AMAZING! I usually do not partake of bread baskets, and I had two pieces. I ordered the Gamberi Fra Diavlo and had an garlic, olive oil base and an arrabiata sauce that had a nice little zing. Medium shrimp accompanied lobster ravioli pasta. House salad with a large choice of dressings was offered, and dressing comes on the side. I enjoyed the entrée immensely, and the salad was fine. My dining compatriots ordered cheese ravioli and the other the chicken and portabella salad. Both looked really tasty, and disappeared about as quickly as my entrée. I would like to try their wood oven pizza, a table near us ordered one, and it looked amazing. I definitely want to explore this restaurant a bit further! Go, make up your own mind!

If I could I would give 2.5 stars. I’ve been here a handful of times. It was better when it first opened. The food that I’ve had has been good, but I don’t think it can compete with some other places in the area(you can get better food at any of the nearby pizza joints) Last time I was here, the service was HORRIBLE and at prime lunch time we were the only table.

Updating my review after yet another visit. This is not a place I look forward to. Last night, it was 4 tables(!) of screaming kids and some of the worst Chicken Parm I’ve ever tasted. It tastes like they first marinaded the chicken in salt, breaded it with salt, and cooked it in the Dead Sea(saltiest sea in the world). Pasta was stuck together. Chicken Parm is the simplest thing to get right. Giotto tries hard to get it wrong. Anyone who thinks this is good Italian food never had good Italian food. You like Olive Garden to I bet.

We were leery after reading some of the reviews. My fiancé and I went for dinner tonight and boy were those bad reviewers WAY off! We ordered the penne vodka and Bruschetta Pollo(chicken). They were both very good and the portions were huge. We both took a little over half of our entrees home. We didn’t order an appetizer because we filled up on the complimentary delicious, warm bread and infused olive oil. Yum! Ended the meal with coffee and chocolate cheesecake torte. My fiancé doesn’t usually go for cheesecake, but loved it! Prices on here were about accurate. Some of the appetizers and entrees were $ 1 to $ 2 more, but well worth it. We spent $ 41 total for a nice evening out. As for the service… it was great. We were greeted and seated right away. We had drinks right away and never once had to ask for a refill on our sodas. Bread basket was always full and our salads were out in about 5 minutes of us ordering. Our entrees arrived just as we finished our salads. And the place was busy, too! Staff was friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it!
