My wife and I just got home from Vino and we thoroughly enjoyed our fine dining experience. Let me walk you through the many wonderful things about this restaurant: First, we called at 5:20 and requested a 6:30 reservation(if possible). They said they could accommodate us at 6:45, which was excellent considering this is a last-minute reservation request on the Saturday evening preceding Father’s Day. I also requested a high chair for our infant son. We arrived and were immediatley brought to our table, which was waiting with the high chair. Truly excellent! The wait staff was great, very accommodating. They waited on us promply, twice asked if we wanted bread during the course of the meal, and re-filling my Pepsi twice. The food was delicious. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms, shrimp fra diavolo, Pepsi, and a glass of their house cabernet. My wife ordered the gnocchi. All of the food was delicious. The house wine was tasty; not world-class by any means, but a tasty inexpensive house cabernet sauvignon. The fra diavolo sauce was made the way it should be made; Hot! Fra diavolo is not for the timid and this sauce was done just right. The final tab came to something like $ 47-$ 48, including tax! I was so impressed with our service, I left a $ 10 tip. The ONLY reason why I did not give Vino a five-star rating is due to the ambience. It’s a nice environment; a four-star environment. But it is not a five-star ambience. I would like to see frescos painted on the wall or even some cheeseball photos of old Italy on the walls, SOMETHING more than the relatively bare walls. Also, the furniture seemes a bit worn dated. Any high-end restaurant has linens covering the tables. Unfortunately, the tables were faux wood and a liitle worn-down. The chairs were a little worn too. An investment of some frescos and new furniture would take this place into the five-star realm of greatness. My wife and I both had a terrific dining experience and would love to come back again in the future.

We stopped in the Harrisburg area while driving from Asheville, NC to Boston, MA. The front desk person at the Quality Inn recommended Vino. It was a good recommendation. Good service, good food; good value. My wife thought it was worthy of Boston’s North End.

Wanted to try a new restaurant for our 10th wedding anniversary and this was a great choice. Service was exceptional, the food was amazing and the price was comparable to Olive Garden, but the food tastes much better and it was worth every penny.

We loved it here. Came on a Friday night after making reservations.(Make a reservation… trust me). We were a few minutes early but we were sat immediately. It took a few minutes for the server to come and take our drink orders, but it was worth the wait as she made the BEST Grey Goose martini, dirty, up. It was actually pretty impressive. We started with the calamari. It was fresh, flash fried, and absolutely wonderful. I can honestly say that I think it’s the best calamari I’ve ever had, and that is saying something. It was a touch greasy, but nothing that an extra few seconds of being drained wouldn’t fix. And it was SO deliciously well cooked that I wasn’t gonna complain about a touch of extra oil. Get the calamari. Trust me. I then moved on to a Caesar salad. The dressing tasted homemade and the romaine was fresh and crisp. The salad was also the perfect size. Score. Hubby had the Veal Parm. I tried it and not only did I literally cut it with my fork, the taste was also superb. Thinly breaded, fried, and topped with that delicious sauce… I think it might be better than my Veal Parm. I had Gnocchi baked in bolognese and cheese, and it was outstanding. Pillow soft homemade gnocchi that literally melted in my mouth. So good. Service was good, prices are very good. If I had a complaint, it would be that there is no basket of bread put on the table. Someone comes around and gives you a slice when you sit down. You then need to ask for more. It’s just awkward. But it’s not near enough to not make me come back, and it shouldn’t keep you from coming back either. Definitely will be in the restaurant rotation for us.

Always enjoy the food, service and ambiance. Had the chicken saltimboca every time that’s how good it is! Love the calamari too!

The food here was amazing. They have a nice gluten free menu and the servers are great. It’s a small place so timing is crucial if you go close to busy times. I recommend the Chianti braised pork. You won’t be sorry.

Back again a year later. Great service by Trey, amazing stuffed mushrooms with crab and veal cardinale was sublime. Very competent Greek salad with plenty of Kalamatas and feta with solid peasant bread. Remember your reservations too…

Amazing food, great service, nice quiet atmosphere. Definitely going to be a stop every time we are in Harrisburg. Got the calamari, shrimp scampi, and ricotta cake… could not have been better! Such a great price too, very affordable as a nice night out with a ton of excellent food.

Eggplant parm is only $ 12 here and it’s on point! I just got back from Italy and think I’m some kind of food connoisseur now, but I decided to try Vino because it was close by. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the staff was very friendly and hospitable. They gave us a free cannoli and we ate it in the car on the way home and licked cream off each other’s fingers it was so good! Yum!

Interesting place in a strip mall. That being said a small place with about 12 tables and two servers on a Saturday night shift. My girlfriend had the chicken parm and I had the penne with sauce. Both were good and didn’t break the bank. The owner greeted us and thanked us for making a reservation on a busy night. They are somehow affiliated with the pizza shop next door as well. 3 stars for the quality of food, décor/ambiance(considering being in a strip mall), and prices. Service was mediocre and could use some improvement for busy nights.

Just want to start by saying I don’t right too many reviews. I’ve worked in the bar and service industry for over ten years, and must say I’m beyond impressed with this restaurant, from the moment we walked through the door to the time we left, our experience was memorable. The owner was not very hospitable. Even though we were late to our reservation, yes we were«those people«lol but our server Trey was very friendly and was more than happy to take care of us. And despite being one of the last tables there they never once made us feel unwelcome. They offer some of the best Italian food you’ll find in the area. I actually bartend/serve down around Hershey and constantly introduce friends and regulars to try this gem of a place. I’m originally from Scranton/Old Forge and if you know anything about Italian cuisine you are familiar with good authentic Italian food. This place nails it and I look forward to returning. Not only are the prices fair but they are beyond reasonable. I couldn’t believe the quality and portions we received for the very low cost. Don’t let the location deceive you, the place prepares and offers 5 star quality food at an incredibly low price.

This was our second visit and we weren’t disappointed. The steamed clams in the garlic wine broth were delicious… and our server was prompt and attentive. I tend to order the veal when dining out and Vino didn’t disappoint. The veal was tender… no knife needed… and topped with the roasted red peppers, fresh mushrooms and mozzarella? Yum. My guy had the grilled Mahi Mahi wrapped in prosciutto, served on top of a risotto cake and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size was more than enough and I came home with dinner for the next evening! Vino’s prices are comparable to other nice dining establishments and its a classy move when the owner stops by your table not just to ask about your meal and your service, but to also chat with you. Definitely worth another visit! Can’t think of one negative thing to say about the place!

I must say, the sharp design on the logo for this place is quite deceiving. Of course you shouldn’t base your expectations for a restaurant on its icons. I went here with a friend one night and haven’t returned yet. Although none of the reasons are alarming, there are enough of them that add up to something sufficient. Its rather small, which makes for crowds and noise. The service was humdrum and kinda slow. And of course, the food wasn’t very impressive either. The place is quaint and probably a good place for a date if you catch it on a better night, but I have other places I would rather go for Italian. I’ll probably try here again in time. Who knows.

Reservations. This place is always busy. I was really boring tonight, because I ordered the same thing I ordered two years ago when I was last here.(We had Tres as our server again, same as last time, so why mess with fate?) Again, the crostini was great and the Fra Diavolo with mussels was fabulous. Portions are sizable, so order accordingly. M loved the shrimp scampi. B, on the other hand, ordered the eggplant stack, which she has before and didn’t like then. No change this time on that account. Tres was very efficient in a busy restaurant. Oh, we didn’t get hurried out this time and the owner did drop by the table, though he didn’t introduce himself. Check this place out, it may be the best Italian food in the area.

This place was a pleasant surprise! Great service, nice wine selection, and delicious food topped off with great homemade desserts. We had the calamari, which was great, and Caesar salads, which were fresh but average. My husband had a special with duck and pappardelle, and I had prosciutto-wrapped mahi-mahi, which sat atop a delicious risotto cake. Homemade desserts — tiramisu and chambord cheesecake — topped off this great meal. The owner came around to say hello, and I would believe that he is from Italy, which may be where the great recipes come from. We will certainly go back for the food — and knowing they have a full bar doesn’t hurt!
