I mean wow. I got the Street Tacos or whatever they were called. The meat tasted like the smell of cat food. It’s the«whitest» Mexican food I’ve ever had. I just mean… just wow.

Tables were sticky from not being cleaned properly. Had a chimichanga and a seafood enchilada with two cokes. Total of $ 30. Del taco has better food. Done with Los Hermanos.

The food was good. Loved the halibut tacos. However we had the margaritas and they put sugar around the glass and topped it with whipped cream and a cherry. Really? Margaritas have salt not sugar. The lime slush was good but come on use salt

I had the worst experience here– I’ve been before and loved it, but not this time! It was my first night out after having a baby, so I was hoping to just have dinner and get back. We got there and I put my name on the list– about 30 other people came and went before me before I finally went up and asked what was going on. Oops! They had«missed» my name on the list and seated about 8 other groups before me… they apologized profusely and seated us. They told the waiter to «make it right» with us. I told him we were in a rush now, since I would need to get home to feed my newborn soon. He told me they’d hurry… and 30 minutes later, they still hadn’t got our orders. When they finally did bring our orders, they were wrong, but we didn’t care, we needed to just eat and get out of there. After all our trouble, I asked if we could at least get a fried ice cream or something on the house. «All I can do is some chips and salsa,» is what our waiter said. Not going back. They wasted my entire 2 hours out.

There are really good places around that are slinging up some tasty grub and really pushing the definition of Mexican cuisine. Those guys are struggling, striving and trying really hard and even if they don’t always make it(sorry, Oteo), I applaud the effort and the innovation. Then we have this. It’s in a converted house with history. Yay. Backstory. Yay. Interior arrangement is weirdImean eclectic. Yay. It’s kind of ok to hang out in, if you get the right spot. Parking is funky. Yay? Food is heavily Americanized, like if you went to the Midwest and told them to make you some bean dip with hot sauce and they basically served you canned refrieds with a liquefied chili powder(gotta love the ripping power of Ancho) concoction on top and a smattering of shredded cheese, all microwaved to lava-bubble-popping-pocked-perfection, then this is your gig. No real care or thought is given to presentation. Here’s a plate, yes, it’s way hot from the microwave, with a moderately deep-fried shell around vaguely seasoned(and definitely not at all spicy) pork, all of that lava effect you can handle on the refried beans and an absolute disaster of Spanish rice. Glop that sour cream on top, so that the chimichanga can’t possibly be re-heated from the bottom of the dish and you’ve got yourself a winner? I guess. Did I mention it was a converted house yet? Character. Yay. We’re not even getting into the churros. Service was pretty decent and staff is highly friendly, which is always nice to see. They have Diet Mt. Dew(so I upgraded them a star because the food isn’t like completely awful(offal?) or anything — just not very good, either), but aside from the very minor novelty the converted house(huzzah!) presents, this is not really a very necessary stop, definitely far from it food-wise.

The chips and salsa are pretty good. The food is not. We try Los Hermanos perhaps twice per year to give it «another chance» and they always seem to meet or fall well below are already very low expectations of this place. The food is not well prepared or placed on plates. The taste is vastly inconsistent. They always seem to mess something up about the order(e.g. ask for no sour cream and your dish comes out with the most sour cream you’ve ever seen). The desert portions are tiny(several years ago, you’d get two large balls of ice cream with the fried ice cream, now you get one very small ball and the price has gone up). The service is probably terrible. Usually it takes 12 – 15 minutes before a server actually takes your drink order. Sometimes the server will talk to you right away and tell you«I’ll be right back» and then you don’t see them for 15 minutes. Although I will say that the employees are generally very happy and friendly, there are far too many of them standing around talking and joking with each other rather than helping customers. I honestly don’t know why we keep giving this terrible place a chance but I guess we are masochists and do. Note that the price of this place is actually probably three dollars. One medium dinner(two enchiladas with rice and beans) and two fried ice creams will run you $ 32. Whah??? Go somewhere else.

I thought Los Hermanos had great food although it did seem a little over priced for the serving sizes. They got our food out to us extremely quickly and were very attentive to us. I left my credit card there on accident and called back a couple weeks later to see if they had it and they had kept it safe and cut it up for me after I asked them to on the phone. The restaurant itself was nice and decorated in a really eclectic and fun way. Definite recommendation!

Just average food. Nothing special. The worst thing was the waiter yelling at the hostess for seating someone in his section without asking him. Very unprofessional. Prices were ok for what you got.

My wife and I love coming here. We love the atmosphere, and the food is good. It’s turned into sort of a tradition for us. It does occasionally take them a while to get the food out to us, but for the most part they’re quick. I love that’s it’s in an old, squeaky-floored house. There’s something very charming about it.

Was not anything special. The $ 5.00 children’s a la carte 5″ quesadilla was so ridiculously overpriced I am embarrassed I ordered it. My chimichanga was burnt and the chicken inside was dry. It felt like I was stomaching down a Walmart freezer section burrito no special flavor that made it feel like I was eating Mexican food, very bland and over priced. My wife and I joked that the rice was uncle bens microwave Mexican rice. My wife ordered fajitas and the chicken looked and tasted like processed chicken. Shouldn’t have expected too much based on the other reviews. I strongly believe his place survives based on a pack of loyal locals who have been coming here for years, not because it’s quality food, because it’s a family tradition. The waiter was very rushed to take our order and definitely was impatient about it. When I asked him to just bring me an a la carte quesadilla because my daughter doesn’t care about the rice and beans, he said he wouldn’t be able to do that. But he can just order the kids meal and not include the rice and beans. I hope they get better as they see these reviews, otherwise their sub-par unfriendly service and their mediocre American Mexican food will be the end of them.

I grew up in a Hispanic household. My family has owned 3 Mexican restaurants. So I know how authentic Mexican food tastes. This didn’t taste anything like authentic Mexican food to me. Lacked seasoning, salt and freshness. Portion size was smaller than most traditional plates. But the blandness was what shocked me. There are much better Mexican restaurants locally in which to spend $ 12+ a plate. Service was lacking as well.

I came through while on a road trip and stopped in at Los Hermanos. I came here for lunch alot during the work week when I lived in the area years ago and also had a date here. The food is still great. Don’t expect real Mexican food but this is probably the closest you’ll get in northern Utah. I like their chimichanga with either chicken or beef. On my recent visit, I got it with chicken which came with rice and refried beans. Delish. The complimentary chips don’t taste good to me nor the salsa. The aethetic is fabulous as they have the sun room where a lot of windows let the sunshine in and the Mexican suns are hanging everywhere with a lot of plants. Other sitting areas are kinda dark and include a fireplace. The staff is generally teenagers and college kids, and they do a good job of checking on you and doing their best. Parking is in back in a small lot or available on the street. Food: 3 Service: 4 Parking: 3 Ambiance: 4

Mexican food is my life. And I have had some good chips and salsa in my day. But Los’s chips and salsa are hands down the best chips and salsa in the land.

Best thing on the menu is the Naranja Salmon! Best stuff ever! Occasionally they have had an off day and the veggies weren’t cooked completely like usual, otherwise I would’ve given them 5 stars. Great service, fun atmosphere. Totally Utah Mexican, so if you are looking for spicy… it won’t happen.

Always delicious! We especially like the Green Burrito and the fajitas. Unlimited chips and salsa and a fried ice cream for birthdays makes it a good choice.

This place is really not very good. When I was younger Los Hermanos was quite a popular destination in Lindon. They have a great building and a large and willing local population of people who appreciate Americanized Mexican food and nonalcoholic specialty drinks. However, my memory from those days is that the food was bland and sometimes genuinely unpleasant. Well, on a recent visit my memories were confirmed. First, let me mention the service. The place was NOT busy — it was a Wednesday. But our server acted like her future happiness depended on turning over the table. She came to take our drink order within seconds of us sitting down, and the theme continued. We had hardly begun eating our entrees when she wanted to take our dessert order. Later, she hovered after setting down the check. Maybe she had plans we were keeping her from, I don’t know. The chips and salsa were not impressive. The salsa tasted like tomatoes. Maybe with some salt. The chips were OK, but one of the two small bowls was full of broken small pieces. Most of our table ordered combos that came with rice and beans and smothered enchiladas or burritos. I tasted the enchilada sauce which was the high point. It was nicely savory. However, my wife’s chile relleno tasted of flour, and I tried the«joya del mar», which was described as a bounty of various seafood in a spicy tomato broth. 1) the broth wasn’t spicy 2) the seafood was missing other than 3 – 4 shrimp 3) It didn’t taste like much 4) the tortillas that came with it had been warming for hours and were stuck together and very chewy. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we ordered fried ice cream. It was okay. The coating was chewy and slightly bitter. Honestly, the food from Betos(or Albertos, or the various clones) is better. They could make up for it with great service, or great prices, but neither seems to be the case. The management needs to consider some significant remedial action if they want to stay in business. The culinary scene in Utah County is improving, and what we experienced this time isn’t worthy of repeat business.

Chips n salsa: you eat it because it’s on the table — enough said My food: I didn’t like my smothered Chicken Chimichanga at all — the red sauce had no taste other than a slight burnt one Families food: my son didn’t like his and my wife and I tried it and thought it was gross as well. My daughters liked their bean burrito. Umm, yeah, I won’t be back here and I’m seriously going to need to send my brother to the doctor to get his taste buds checked because this is one of his favorite Mexican food restaurants. To be fair maybe it’s my taste buds — you can decide on your own if you choose to dine here.

We went to Los Hermanos for my Birthday… I’ve been NEEDING good Mexican food, which is hard to come by in Utah.(Why is that?!) Anyways, I got the 3 item combo and it for sure did not disappoint! I got 2 taqitos and an enchilada. The taqitos were HUGE and the enchilada had olive pieces mixes in(a downside for me). I enjoyed every bite! The food was hot, fresh and super yummy! The chips and salsa were great too. They are a little skimpy on the drink refills, but that is my only complaint.

If you’re looking for good Mexican in Utah County, this is about as good as it gets. Los Hermanos is located conveniently on the main road in Lindon in a state recognized historic building. The atmosphere inside is fun. Old cowboy and Indian décor, and a variety of wooden furniture add to the feel of the restaurant. The food is delicious. They absolutely have the best chips and salsa around. For starters, I had the La Brisas drink. Creamy and sweet, it is a perfect mix of berries and cream. For my main entrée I had the combo burrito. Chicken, shredded beef and pork, smothered in red sauce and cheese. Absolutely to die for. The flavors are all there, and it isn’t too spicy. You can taste each individual flavor as you go. Another recommendation are the fajitas. They come out on a sizzling skillet with a container of tortillas. They are full of flavor, served with onion and peppers. You can’t go wrong with either dish. I’ve had many of the dishes here. I have rarely if ever left disappointed. Definitely a must try for the Mexican food lover.
