Tough steak… that is unacceptable. We went to Outback for the Wednesday special. For some reason the host didn’t give us that menu??? We sat down and ordered a Blooming Onion right away. It took over 15 minutes to get it and then it was overdone(too brown and over crispy). We ate it and didn’t complain since we were hungry The pecan blue cheese chopped salad… was not«chopped» and had a few minuscule tidbits of pecans. But they felt they could charge me an extra $ 1. The 6oz sirloin had a tasty outside but the first cut displayed grizzle and tough meat. Really ?? The manager came by as we were literally cutting, so he said he would stop back. He never did. I was not impressed that they could not give us a tender piece of steak when they serve them every day! My son’s chicken was good, as were our side dishes. The server was very attentive, but he doesn’t cook the food. We will not go back to this location Many empty tables and not enough help to seat the crowd in the waiting area. Some people left when told the wait was 30 mins and tables were visibly empty Poor staff planning on a special day Sorry Outback… you blew it.

We went there on a Saturday night. The wait to get a table was 90 minutes at 6:00pm. We waited and waited and waited at the bar. We got the rib eye, steak tid bits, burger and fish tacos. The rib eye was a disaster! Sent it back and came back like steak tartar. The rest is as you would expect… Avoid, avoid, avoid!!! and NOONE should EVER go here!

Been here quite a few times exactly what you would expect from a chain restaurant. Food is good and well made no complaints(no wow factor).

I used to LOVE this location. outback was always my go-to when I wanted to go out to eat. now whenever I come it gets worse and worse. the steak is never cooked right with zero flavor. I don’t know why they cook the shrimp on wooden sticks. theyre impossible to get off. it takes FOREVER to get your entrée. I don’t have 1.5hrs to eat dinner. its so sad how horrible the place has become. don’t come here.

Bread was stale. Potatoes were from the night before. Steak was ok. I usually enjoy outback but this was not fresh food. Won’t be back.

One of our favorite Outback locations. The food is consistently great. The steaks are usually(9 times out of 10) cooked exactly the way you ordered them. For a restaurant that is so busy most of the time, a slight bit over or under is acceptable on the rare occasion that it happens. Love the Bloomin’ Onion and the Cheese Fries as well. Also very impressed and appreciative that the kitchen staff still knows how to make the Tiger Dill sauce which has probably been off the menu for many years now. The staff is upbeat and personable. They are very tentative and usually have a drink refill on it’s way even before you realize you need one. In the 15 years or so that I’ve been eating at this location, I can only recall one time when our to-go order was not correct when we got home. Thankfully, Allison, the manager went above and beyond to make up for the issue. We continue to dine at this location. They definitely get two thumbs up from us! :-)

Had lunch at Outback in Lindenhurst today. Very disappointed! The prices used to be reasonable. Now they are ridiculous! My wife and I each got a glass of blackberry sangria. It was basically a small jar filled to the top with ice and maybe 4 sips of fruit punch! Hardly any alcohol in there and almost 100% ice! $ 11 per glass! $ 22.00 sipped down in just a couple of minutes! I have never been robbed so badly by a restaurant! Then we order off the lunch menu. Portions are pretty much ½ size. But the price was full size. When I got the check, I was shocked that we paid more for our lunch that we usually pay for our dinner when we got out. So we walk out hungry and thirsty and got ROBBED in the process! I used to be a huge fan of Outback! Very disappointed in today’s visit!

Skip it. Bad service, flavorless food, like others have pointed out, dirty-smelling tables that have all been cleaned with the same dirty rag. Our waitress cleared off our table telling us the food was on the way, it wasn’t. Then came back 10 minutes later, to ask how everything was. We had only our drinks. Try a different location, this one is poor.

One star is too much If a place practices dirty habits You can’t get to taste the food I was waiting to be seated and watched the busboy clean several tables with the same cloth. brought it back to the front. Few minutes later grabbed it and wiped some more tables … Yuck He literally sprayed and wiped . The room smelled like humid wet dirty dish towels I thought to myself if this is how they clean the tables … How do they handle the food ? No thanks Dirty dirty dirty practices

So I was a bit disappointed that my steak was slightly over-cooked from my ideal choice, but the asparagus, baked potato and beer were all just what I wanted. The other person had not a complaint. We were seated quickly, wait staff friendly and efficient. Don’t sit at the booth by their door that is not the main entrance as it gets breezy… especially on a cool damp night… that’s what we discovered as we sat for awhile. 5 stars would have been… my steak perfect!

Wow! Hadn’t been to an Outback restaurant in a long time. Got a gift card for a birthday gift and off we went, not sure what to expect. We live not far from the lindenhurst location, so that’s where we went. Seated and had a waiter table side in less than five minutes! Very clean place, I might add. We are both 65 years old and appreciate good, quick, courteous service. They sent«Dan» to our table. Handsome, neat, pleasant, and obviously an excellent waiter. We told him we were not familiar with the menu. Then he did something you rarely see a waiter do… He «squatted down», at the tables edge, so he was able to explain the items slowly and clearly! He made sure he kept looking from me to my wife, so we both felt included. How nice! The young man should be a «waiter trainer»! Hot, fresh, delicious coffee was in front of us within minutes! Great start, right? We ordered the steak and lobster tail, with a side of salads and amazing Mac and cheese, omg, and crispy potatoes, omg again! Hot delicious, tender steak and a wonderful lobster tail! The salads were great and a good size and don’t let me forget, the. Hot brown bread and soft butter in a cup! We asked for more and there it was in minutes! Now this was turning out to be a great birthday dinner! Dan the waiter made our experience at Outbacks soo very enjoyable ! The food was amazing, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, the restrooms were immaculate and the prices were great! After our meal, Dan asked if we would like any dessert, but we were quite full! When he handed us the charge slip to sign, we noticed that Dan, had handwritten«Happy Birthday!» On our receipt! Now after reading this review, you really should take your appetite and some friends or family or both over to the Outbacks in lindenhurst, NY. I rarely ever write reviews at all, but we felt that this birthday was made completely enjoyable by Outbacks and especially Dan, the waiter! Thanks again! Ps. Before we left a manager stopped my our table to make sure we were pleased with our visit! Nice young man! Try this place for sure! We were there at about two thirty on a Friday, for lunch!!! A+ 5 stars!

I love Outback, and this one is our go-to because it’s relatively inexpensive and we can either eat really healthy or really bad. Nobody makes cheese fries like Outback does. I haven’t had anything there that I didn’t like. And the service is great. The few times we experienced any issues, the manager would always quickly resolve it. The staff is very friendly! And remember, the bar is self-seating, so if there’s a wait and you’re a small party, keep an eye on it!

Outback now takes reservations! I have frequented this location since it opened years ago. Went here for a birthday with about 10 people. They didn’t make us wait until the entire party arrived which is nice. I dislike when restaurants wait until everyone arrives… it’s weird and uncomfy. First off the table smelled like a dirty towel/wet sponge. ick! Whatever so ignoring the smell we continue with our experience. 2We order drinks and I’m the only one at the table of 11 who gets ID’D. The waiter’s logic is as follows: «We have to ID everyone who looks younger than 40». Interesting, NOONE at my table is 40 or looks 40. So we all laugh it off. For appetizers we ordered the blooming onion(of course), the aussie cheese fries and the new trio sampler(has coconut shrimp, pan seared tuna and crab meat guacamole). Blooming onion is always good, I am not crazy about the cheese fries but my friends love them. The trio was by far my favorite. The coconut shrimp were delicious, the tuna was delectable and perfect, the guac with crab meat was an interesting combo but tasty as well(I DEF recommend this app). For an entrée I ordered a special they were offering: petit filet with lobster tail. Unfortunately the filet looked about the size of a McDonald’s hamburger. It was OK at best. The lobster was good(what you expect from a chain I suppose). Overall it was an OK experience. I would likely come here again out of peer pressure only.

Ok so it’s Outback so you pretty much know what you’re going to get. The question is, is the location nearest you worth going to. Luckily this one is close by and is worth checking out. We came here looking for an easy meal in a Monday night and Outback fit the bill. It was a Monday night so there was no wait what so ever. Our server Alex was great. She gave us all the time we needed to look over the menu and figure out what to drink. We started out with their peppered ahi tuna app. It was ok, nothing to do cartwheels over and the Asian slaw was in reality a few scattered pieces of iceberg lettuce. I’d skip that one and go for the blooming onion.(Unless you’re watching the calories like we are) For our mains I got the ribeye(what calories) and she got the fillet. They’re were both cooked perfectly(medium rare… Thanks for asking) and to me that’s all that really matters in a steak place We skipped desert although they had some good looking ones. It’s nice to know there’s a good outback by us. We will definitely come back

I normally wouldn’t give any chain a 5 start rating but this place is AMAZING and I am not a frequent customer! Let me add in that I am ONLY speaking of the LINDENHURST, NY location. Please take your time and go visit, over the years they remodeled and not to mention they have the BESTOWNER/MANAGER ever… Please go say hello to ALLISON and tell her JULIE sent you! :)

My review is from the point of view of a vegetarian, so it might not be the best review to go by when you’re thinking about dining here since it’s known to be a steakhouse chain. Came here to dinner with my mother-in-law, my brother-in-law and hubby. Hubby and I split the spinach and artichoke dip for an app and for an entrée I chose the no rules Parmesan pasta. The server told me that I could get veggies with my pasta so I asked for veggies with it. The spinach and artichoke dip was okay, it wasn’t memorable, not awful either though, just decent.(even though it’s the most awful thing on the menu calorie & fat wise I think we were better off if we chose the bloomin’ onion). The pasta was the same. The vegetables were seasoned really well but my pasta had more of a slimy consistency vs. a nice creamy consistency. My hubby enjoyed his steak, if I ate meat and ate his meal Outback might be getting 5 stars right now instead of 3. The bread was good. Our seating wasn’t too roomy in the booth we were sitting in(maybe that’s because we’re a little fat!). On the weekends this place is pretty crowded, so be prepped for a wait. If I come back here I think I’d do better if I changed my meal, probably I’d update my review at that time too!

I really wish I could give it one more star, but the service… ugh. I come here pretty often, at least once a month. The food is pretty consistent, but the service is super hit or miss. I was here on a Tuesday night with my parents and boyfriend. We ordered 4 appetizers, 4 entrees and each added a salad. Right off the start the waitress was personality-less, just not someone who should be a sever in my opinion. The appetizers were really good we had the ahi tuna, coconut shrimp, crab avocado stacker and the boys got wings. All came out timely and tasted good. Same with the salads. There was a pretty big gap of time from salads to dinner, which we didn’t mind so much because we all used the time to digest. Everyone at the table got some kind of steak entrée, I went for the mahi-mahi. The fish was definitely bad, and they easily let me switch it out for the chicken. It came out and that was fine. Everyone finished ‘cept me. We ordered a dessert and one coffee. 20 minutes later… coffee another 20 minutes later… dessert and finally a container to wrap the rest of my meal. Instead of apologizing, the waitress snapped saying she was yelling at the kitchen and ran off. 5 minutes later… check. We asked to see a manager who was SUPER nice, and hooked us up by taking a bunch of stuff off and giving us a $ 20 gift card. 3 stars but potential 4 if they can train the staff to be a bit nicer.
