Pricey but worth it. Attentive service. Great wine list. Delicious food. Decadent desserts.

Tonight was my son’s 20th birthday and he decided that he wanted steak. So we asked Mr. Unilocal if he recommended anything in the area and what popped up was Vittorio’s in Amityville. I know what you’re thinking. Great steakhouse in Amityville? Amazing steakhouse in Amityville! Put Vittorio’s on your go-to list for sure. My son ordered the strip steak medium rare with bone-in. What came out was a slab of perfection(see picture). It was giant. It was juicy. It was as tender as a strip steak can be, and the flavor was intense. It paired incredibly well with the luscious creamed spinach. He was a young man in meat heaven. My wife, my 15-year old son and I shared the porterhouse steak for two(see picture). My wife NEVER thinks steak is worth what you pay for it in a steakhouse. She walked away from this steak with a smile on her face. Mu son was overwhelmed by how tender and flavorful the porterhouse was. We shared the creamed spinach and also ordered the french fries that were so crispy I’m sure they were double fried. I could add info about the great crusty Italian bread bowl and the pungent olive oil with herbs. Let’s just say you could wreck a meal eating bread. And the two desserts we ordered(see pictures); apple cobbler ala mode and chocolate decadence cake on a bed of peanut butter with ice cream were both well composed and beautifully presented. I could also tell you the décor was warm and inviting and Leonardo gave excellent service. And I could tell you how happy our dogs were when we got home with two dinosaur-sized bones. But really, steakhouses are about the steak. And Vittorio’s delivered an A+ meal.

All I have to say about this restaurant is this: I haven’t lived on LI in years but I would travel from my home in DC to Vittorio’s if only for dinner. It’s that good. Hoping to visit again soon. I miss good Long Island Italian food.

I can’t comment on the dinners at this downtown Amityville Italian, but our decision to visit for what I had heard to be a fab Sunday brunch was far from it. Service was excruciatingly slow. Three of four dishes that arrived, went right back to the kitchen because they were cold. My Huevos Rancheros got a barely passing grade, mostly because I was starving by the time I got a dish to eat. Ingredients listed on the menu were missing from the dish. I’ll try the dinner at some point, but I’m not motivated to return.

Sad to say my recent brunch at Vittorios didn’t make the grade. The place has a nice look to it — reservations were honored — and the menu had fair prices and good choices. Unfortunately, that’s where the story turns South. Our waiter was very personable. He was just as slow as could be. Food came out of the kitchen cold. Not room temperature — cold.(Could it have been properly made and got cold waiting for the waiter to deliver it?) A return is questionable. With 2 other nice brunch restaurants on the same block Vittoro’s has to wait before I give it another try.

I am long overdue to review this place. We have been here for dinner a few times and for brunch as well. A++ across the board. There are TONS of Italian places on Long Island and all over the area, but an Italian Steakhouse? THAT is a little different! The food overall has been delicious and extremely flavorful, the steaks amazing! We will definitely be back!

I try not to jump the gun by adding a restaurant to my favorites list after only one visit so I tried to wait before writing this review. Okay, I’ve only been here twice but I loveee this place! Both times with different waiter and both times were an excellent experience. I’m so upset I forgot one’s name but he’s tall with brown hair and an accent. I was also taken care of by Sean during one of my visits, and I’m not sure what the hiring process is here but they were both probably two of my favorite waiters ever. Extra attentive without being annoying, were familiar enough with the menu to make good suggestions, had a sense of humor(no one likes a stone face waiter) and last but certainly not least neither of them ever let our brunch glasses slip too low. Ok so onto the review of the actual restaurant lol I went for brunch and ordered the cannoli French toast by recommendation. It was really good, a little too much cream but that’s easily fixable, I just pushed it aside. The hubby got the T-bone steak and eggs which was ordered medium well but definitely seemed to be well done. They have bottomless drink option for $ 12 during brunch and you can swap between several different choices. Our favorite was the Bellini but I’d say try ‘em all because, I mean, why the hell not?! I also tried the Frittata of the day with salad, it was some kind of avocado-ey goodness that day. Just perfect. We met up with a friend for our second visit and ended up staying well past brunch hours and didn’t feel rushed or anything. Although I’m sure they couldn’t wait for us to leave, they didn’t show it. Overall I’m thankful to have found this gem close by to home and I can’t wait to try them for dinner, although I don’t think they can top my brunch experience.

Great for Sunday Brunch– $ 12 all you can drink — mimosas, Bellinis, ect. Then the brunch menu is reasonably priced wth dishes around $ 16(some more some less). My group of 4 stopped in without a reservation and we were seated fast. It was a delight, everyone liked their food.

This is what I’m talking about! We enjoyed a fabulous meal during Long Island Restaurant Week, Fall Edition, last Wednesday. I normally abhor Restaurant Week, but Vittorio’s did it proud. It is located in the village of Amityville, just a short ride off the parkway. You enter the restaurant thru the bar which was too tempting to not have a cocktail. It’s not a big bar, maybe 10 seats, and a couple of four tops nearby, but it is very cozy. The bartendress oozed sophistication — dressed in a black cocktail dress and heels– and very skilled at making their signature Martini. We moved to our table and ordered a wedge(iceberg, tomato, blue cheese crumble, bacon and blue cheese dressing) and short ribs(port wine reduction, mashed potatoes) for our appetizers. I know. A Wedge? You can get that anywhere, right? No you can’t. Not like this wedge! They make their own blue cheese dressing and the bacon tastes like pork belly on crack. For our entrees I had the Branzino with sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and capers, in a white wine sauce. Mike had the Marinated Skirt Steak with potatoes and vegetables. Everything was delicous, everything was prepared well. Service was great! We finished off the meal with a brownie sundae and flan with berries. Ha! I didn’t actually eat desert, I ordered another martini instead! Enjoy folks, this is as good as it gets!

We had such a great experience at Vittorio’s last night! We went for a special anniversary dinner and wanted intimate with great food and a splurge It’s definitely a splurge but it was well worth it for a once in a while place! We started with the bay scallops as and appetizer– it was the special. They were over greens and cannellini in a red sauce. The scallops themselves were a little fishy and I didn’t really like them but the sauce and greens were amazing. We locked the plate with the delicious warm crusty bred they have us. For the main course I had the salmon which came with greens and mashed potatoes. It was great! Big serving(I took half home). The mashed potatoes were awesome, they paid really well with the hearty and tasty crusted salmon and the veggies had roasted garlic. Mmmm My husband had the veal osobuco. Neither of us had ever had osobuco but he really liked it! It came with truffle mashed potatoes and veggies. You could really taste the truffles. This was also really good. For dessert we had their version of a Reese’s peanut butter cup. It was k die for. A warm piece of moist chocolate cake over a layer of homemade nelly peanut butter and topped with vanilla Ice cream and whipped cream. It was the stuff dreams are made of. The service was also very good and as I said before. Fancy. He actually served our appetizer to us. After dinner we had a drink at the bar outside. I had the Vittorio’s secret martini. I usually hate martinis(I’m more of a beer or wine girl) but this was amazing! It was sour tasting(in the good sour patch kids way) and didn’t taste of booze at all. I loved it! Anyway Vittorio’s is definitely on the list for special occasions. If we go back I would make my husband get the dry aged steak. The seems to be their specialty. And I also really want to try their pasta dishes.

My boyfriend and I tried Vittorios for the 1st time last night and I think it’s safe to say we found our new favorite local restaurant. Everything from the ambiance to the service to the food was incredible. Service– Our server was Sean, he was extremely knowledgable, attentive and really should work in sales bc he basically sold me on everything on the menu. Drinks — To start we ordered 2 cocktails, my bf ordered the bourbon and basil(a lil too strong for me) and I ordered the cucumber cocktail(delicious, perfect amount of sweetness and you could tell it was made from all fresh ingredients). My bf also had the berry margarita and said it was great. Food– we started w the baked clams, although smaller sized clams they were really good. For main course I had the stuffed lobster tail, it was stuffed w mushrooms, lobster and whole shrimp(so freaking good), I’m salivating thinking about it, the cream sauce it was in tasted like heaven in my mouth. The lobster also came with whipped potatoes and assorted veggies. My bf ordered the rib eye, which was HUGE and cooked to perfection. He said it was right up there with the best steakhouses. On the side he ordered the roasted potatoes and the corn love. Corn love is a must try, ask your server about it. It’s like their own homemade version of creamed corn but there are full roasted corn pieces in it. I can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. Please do yourself a favor and go here.

Went for the first time recently and can’t believe I’ve been missing out for so long! Everything from the food to the service was amazing. To start, my husband and I had the hot seafood sampler which included calamari, a crab cake, mussels and baked clams. There was nothing I wouldn’t order again on its own and the«corn love» that came with the crab cake was so delicious, I may order it alone next time as a side. For entrees, husband ordered the veal chop while I enjoyed the stuffed lobster tail. Both were mouthwatering and the huge portions meant plenty of leftovers. We also ordered the pappardelle and a dessert to share. Don’t recall the name of the dessert but I want more! Our server, Brian, was polite and attentive without being overbearing. He was the icing on top of a fantastic meal. We’ll definitely be back.

Great experience for my first visit to Vittorios. Wine selection was great. Though I promised myself I wouldn’t order steak, I did. We had just read so many darned reviews on Unilocal that I had to do it. Fabulous cooked toa perfect medium rare. The in house aged meat is on par with some of the top steakhouses I have visited. The entire experience was great. I wish I wrote this review directly after our visit because I forget the other courses, even though I remember they were delicious. I also forget the wine? I forget our waiters name, but he was a young man with awesome hair and an extremely thick Italian accent. I must return soon.

I’m always pleasantly surprised when j have an awesome experience at an Italian restaurant in Long Island. There’s just so many of them, and sometimes it’s hard to differentiate one mediocre Italian dish from another. Vittorio’s is a perfect mix of Old World & modern Italian. Both the food and décor are traditional and to be expected, but have small modern twists or touches that work. The food was delicious. I think my salad was called«The Big V» … Which is a little strange but whatever. It had these crispy chunks of bacon or something that I could have eaten an entire bowl of. For my entrée I got the Branzino… It was SO good, and came on top of a tasty little pile of risotto. I would have loved to try one of the steaks, but they are pricey. Cheapest cut is in the mid-30s and they are all served a la carte. That means a steak dinner at Vittorio’s is running you around 50 bucks while anything else is much more moderately priced. I get that the steaks are dry aged and that makes them special, still just seems a little pricey in comparison the rest of the menu.
