I’m a big supporter of local businesses in my area. I appreciate when a business provides their customers with a quality service and deserves that same quality feedback from their customers in return such as business owner Brian Jr. with his Ink Spot Tattoo Parlor. Brian Jr. has been in the tattooing business for over sixteen years. He has been the sole propriétaire of his own tattoo shop for the past eleven years. It’s located on St. Georges Ave. and North Styles St. in the town of Linden. Brian Jr. is a fanatic about keeping a clean and comfortable establishment for himself and his clients. His tattoo station and equipment is well maintained and up to date. As a customer, I’m very pleased by that. Brian is more of an old school artist. He specializes in trace ink. Trace tattooing is the style that I like and had Brian do for me on both of my arms, chest and shoulders. Trace ink is a traditional style of tattooing. It’s bold black outlining with dark shading and rich color. The color portion depends on your style and the choice of tattoo. If you explain to Brian what type of design you’re looking for he will present you with a few different options to choose from. If you present him with a design of your own he takes the liberty of looking over the details and makes sure they are correct. You will then be informed of the corrections that were made. He has done this for me and other clients. Brian pays attention to detail. He’s very meticulous about his work and that is why I’m a repeat customer.
Brian Jr. does not do portraits or Japanese water style tattoos. Japanese water style tattoos do not have that bold outline like your traditional trace tattoos. It’s a completely different style and design. The ink that is used is water based. When applied, it has a different appearance on the skin. If you’re looking for portraits or Japanese water Style tattoos Ink spot does have an artist that specializes in that area, Paul Spatola. I haven’t had any work done by Paul but I have seen him tattoo others and I was impressed with the quality of his work. I’m a fan of Paul’s artistry. Paul is a professional with a friendly demeanor. Pricing: Brian Jr. and Paul Spatola have the same price tag. It’s one hundred dollars per hour. This price does not include gratuity. Once the clock starts, it’s all business for both of them. Brian is not a heavy handed tattoo artist. He works in a timely fashion with a steady hand and focuses on detail. I’m pleased with his skills as a tattoo artist.
Ink spot does accept walk ins but I suggest you call first and set up a consultation with Brian Jr. or Paul Spatola. Consultations are free of charge.
