Father & Son Luncheonette

Most excellent Chili Dogs with a nice spicy kick to ‘em. Just had lunch there with Son in law and grand kids. Well worth the visit for and Hot dog Lover.

My wife grew up in Linden and always speaks fondly of the place. So, after my son and I finished our walk at Hawk Rise Sanctuary the other day, we stopped in. In a word, awesome! We both loved it.
The chili on my dogs was hot, spicy and delicious-​I took home a container. The fries were crispy. Can’t wait to go back!
I’ve read that this place isn’t what is was. But I was never there back in the day when it supposedly was… All I know is I’ve never had a better chili dog.

A very friendly atmosphere combined with great food makes father and sons a great place to grab some food, feel free to try the suggested special it’ll blow you away for sure!

Been here a dozen times now (twice in 1 day) it gets better and better. Always great!

A staple of Linden since the 1940s. New owners are doing the history of this place great while updating a few things. You have a ton of choices to build the burger of your dreams there. The chili is a legend, meaty & spicy with a good bite. Well worth the visit if you’re driving through.

Great place for good chilli dogs and fries, they are friendly cool place to sit down and have a good American chilli dogs with your friend

Great place for hot dogs and birch or root beer. The hot dogs are delicious! The prices are reasonable.

The chili is just ok IMHO, but the price is extremely fair and many people do enjoy the foods. I’m definitely the exception.

hey Unilocaler’s out there… i found a great hole in the wall hot dog joint ! on my up to n jrz, my one buddy said «hey lets get off of the linden exit on the parkway and i am going to bring to one of the bet hot dog places in n. jersey for lunch», so what the hell, i wasn’t driving so lets go and check it out… WOW the best i have ever had !! i ordered one original first to check out the taste with a stewarts root beer and i was so impressed i got another… crispy, snap of a bite dog (grilled) /​w hot mustard, onions and chili sauce… the chili had a nice bite to it but not overbearing… the 2 gents there were friendly, the place was clean…, small…, old fashion tables back from the fifties…, but the wait time was a bit… but that was o.k. it was worth the wait… when i head back up north in a few weeks i will def. stop in again

Local institution puting out great hot dogs. The chili is good but what stands out here is the kapuchka. the ukrainian sauerkraut with bacon. The gracious hosts to the 10^th annual NJ hot dog tour treated everyone great including creating a combo dog for us. half chili half sauerkraut. Also note that they have birch beer. Also do not miss the mural on the side of their building. Treasures like this deserve to last forever.

Great burgers. Great onion rings. Soggy fries. Kinda. pricey but

One of the best burger joints! Juicy burgers, spicy chili and friendly people! Only get the double cheese burger with everything if you’re up for the challenge!

I’ve passed this place many times and now it was time to try it.
Small place with pizzeria style bench seating. I ordered 2 hot dogs with mustard onions and the «Chili Sauce». Out of all the NJ hot dog joints, this chili sauce is the hottest! WOW, what a kick!
A little hot for my taste but a fine hot dog it is.
