Amazing food! amazing service! Had a great time there. Loved BYOB! I’m from Boston and have Thai food regularly — this is one of the most authentic places I’ve eaten at. I’ll definitely be back!

I went there yesterday with friends. We think the food is nice! The atmosphere was very comfy and the thai tea was delicious! We love it

My party chose this place mainly because of the sushi and we came to find out that the restaurant no longer served sushi. It took about 20 minutes for our orders to be taken and we did not get any refills on water. Granted, we went on a Saturday and they were short-staffed, but that is no excuse for poor service. The food was good, but they had no siracha. What Asian restaurant doesn’t carry siracha?!

Food is not bad… When it comes. The place is an unfortunate disaster. It needs a better management and likely a better seating set up. When you are famished and figure how difficult is a won ton soup or pad thai when you need it? In this place, about an hour plus. All the while waiting, no water(or service) to be seen… I suspect they would be better set up for take out, but while waiting for our food I heard a customer lose patience when their order was delayed about an hour despite being told only 15 more minutes. My suggestion is that it is what it is and they should simply post a sign on the front door which says«Welcome all who enter, but prepare to stick around for a while…»

These Unilocal reviews are utterly baffling. Not to sound like a total pretentious arse but I’ve been to Thailand and eat Thai food in NYC on the regular… which means I’m an avid Thai food fan. For the past 4 years, we have stopped at Thai 9 during our annual ski trip to Loon. The service has always been wonderful, the place is clean, it’s BYOB(uhhh-mazing) and the food is excellent. The veggies are really fresh, excellent selection of vegetarian options, good portion sizes and great spiciness level. Some of the dishes on our table: Drunken Noodles with Shrimp, Pad Thai with tofu, Spicy Shrimp & Scallops, and a lot of Tom Yum soup. Although they didn’t have an ice bucket for our white wine we brought, they quickly made by using a water pitcher filled with ice. We always have a great time at Thai 9 and the restaurant is pretty dead when we’re there(usually a week night). And for the people complaining that the staff don’t speak English? Grow up, this is an authentic Thai restaurant run by people who are from Thailand so practice some patience.

Thai 9 offers some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! I’m from the NY area so have plenty to compare it to and I’ve also been to Thailand! The food is very fresh, very flavorful and nicely presented. Tons of vegetarian options. The ambiance may be just okay but the service has always been great. I’ve been there 3 times now and won’t pass through the Lincoln area without at least stopping in for a quick bowl of their delicious Tom Yum soup!

The sign said they opened at noon. We were there at noon and the sign said open but the doors were closed. I called and asked if they were going to open and the lady did she would be right there and it still took her 10 minutes to come open the door. Portions were tiny! Food was not fresh the sushi smelled horrible and tasted off. The curry was over priced and about a third of the amount of food you get at most Thai places. Don’t waist your money or time!

Had to wait for long time for the food. We have a party of more than six. Was not informed of the 18 percent gratitude(the waiter I believe who was also the owner was really busy and we had to get our own water, bring our credit cards to her, etc). Feel like being cheated at the end when we see the check. Food is ok but is not worth the price.

SAVEYOURSELF ! DONOTVISITTHISPLACEASLONGASTHISRESTAURANTEXIST! I’d rather stave to death than eating here in future ! We walk in the restaurant at around 6:30– 7:00PM and we see at least 5 – 8 empty tables which together can accommodate around 30 people however i see around 20 people standing and i am told the wait time is around 20 minutes. My mistake — i ignore it. They have a location advantage as its right after your scenic drive ends and exactly a mile before any major highways so visitors definitely are enticed to get food before they hit the road or after they start/finish scenic drive. The place is a garbage. Smells like one too but hunger is overpowering the brain and thinking. My mistake, again 1) there were only 2 people managing the entire restaurant. One was the actual server and second was a cook herself 2) there were no silverware or waters for at-least first 30 minutes 3) we got asked for it after 30 minutes because thats when server showed up 4) food order was placed and then another 15 minutes to get water, no silverware yet. 5) 1 hour 35 minutes… You read it right 1 hour 35 minute after we took the table food shows up but not everything. Appetizers were missing couple of entrées go missing too… And silverware too! 6) i walk near their kitchen– call someone out to ask for it and i am shown a white box to take silverware myself… Nevertheless i have my means to eat YaaaY !!! 7) so finish what i got in the hopes of my other food to be served and another 20 minutes pass by but there is no sign of it 8) so i walk again to a cash register who happens to be our server too shows me the piece of paper written in other language and telling me that«you did not order the food you say is missing» And the hell break loose at this moment. I ask for the check for whatever was served and guess what i am charged 18% Gratuity… That’s some courage! I decide not to retaliate and just get myself out of the claustrophobic filthy place after spending near 2 hours 30 minutes into it. Lesson learnt — Read Unilocal reviews before walking into any restaurant. I wish i had read other reviews to not have myself go through this. God bless Unilocal !

Went to this place after watching the fall colors and was superr hungry. All this traffic to get here and then the fun starts. I was with my family and we gave the order in just 5 minutes and kept waiting for more than an hour to get the order on the table. She dint even get half of the order as she forgot to write down the order correctly. Ridiculous!!! Ruined our night. Be prepared to wait for 2 hours before your food can arrive.

Nice ambience and great food. We tried Thai tea which is very refreshing. Spring rolls and fried rice are good too. Green curry may be spicy for those who don’t eat much spice, but the taste was very well blended. Thai tea is a must try!

Have to give four stars for my poor experience, should give fewer but don’t want to hurt anyone — may very well be the best food and service. Problem was the restaurant had diners but was not open, even though the OPEN sign was on! This lured me in for food, as it was a little after their closing at 10 pm on Sat 8÷17÷2013, and I was really hungry after climbing Mt. Washington(10 hours up & down). Turns out the restaurant’s bright yellow and red OPEN sign was on after closing time, and I had stopped for nothing! I moved on in search of something else open, still starving. So advice to all, check this place’s actual hours before you go there, because their OPEN sign apparently means nothing!!! Oh yeah, and they may have the best food and service too.

5 stars simply because the food is delicious and if you ask them for EXTRAHOT, they actually make it EXTRAHOT… unlike many Thai places in Boston. Some of my favorites are the yellow curry, avocado curry, and the basil fried rice and drunken noodles are incredible. I get mostly takeout(probably over 30 times), and never have had one issue. I’ve been in there to sit down and eat plenty of times also, and haven’t noticed or been bothered by any of the complaints I’ve seen on here. There is definitely a bit of a language barrier, and at times service is a little slow, but why exactly are you in a rush when you’re on vacation in the mountains? It’s BYOB, so kick back enjoy a cold one of your choice and RELAX, then enjoy the awesome food when it comes out. My only complaint is that they’re not open enough! Some days they don’t open for lunch, and they’re closed all day on certain weekdays a lot too. Best to call ahead and be sure

Service wasn’t bad. The older gentleman who took our dirty dishes was literally the most awkward man on the planet. He stood there for a solid 15 seconds staring at us before asking if we were done with our plates. He took them and after would stare at us from the entryway into the kitchen. The edamame was good, the ginger salad was good, and the golden shrimp was alright, but very greasy and rubbery. We ordered sushi and instantly regretted it. I ordered the avocado roll, California roll, and the smokey tuna roll. The smokey tuna was too smokey and there were weird dark spots on a few of the pieces of tuna. The avocado and California rolls looked like they came from a grocery store but lacked flavor. I used wasabi and soy sauce; the wasabi wasn’t spicy at all, and the soy sauce was EXTREMELY salty. It was as if the bottle on the table was from the bottom of the most briney bucket of soy sauce you could imagine. My girlfriend got the crunchy California roll and the spicy crab roll. She ate one of each roll and was so disgusted by what was on her plate. She loves sushi and finds most sushi tolerable, except for this place. She tried everything that she could think of to force the sushi down, but couldn’t. She picked the avocado out, she dipped it in soy sauce, and scraped the crunchy bits off and she just couldn’t do it. We will never get food from here again. We were looking for a good sushi place in this area of New Hampshire, and were seriously disappointed by Thai 9.

Live free or die to the max! Really, the waitress and waiters there just don’t give a crap. We waited for 30min to order and get utensils, an hour for food and another 15min for check. Provided they brought my boyfriends food out 20min+ before mine and forgot my order. I ordered chicken drunken noodles the noodles were lukewarm and kind of hard and broccoli were crunchy and bitter and lukewarm, as if they just decided to throw everything in a hot pan and dump them on a plate to save time. Truly awful experience. The table next to us waited for their check for almost 30min he got so upset and went up to the counter to demand the check. Overall: Avoid, it was not a good experience and i would not go back there again.

Went here on oct 4th rainy sat. Looks like it was worth a try from fellow Unilocalers. Definitely a wrong choice. Really didn’t expect 5 stars food and service. But wow it was pretty bad! We walked in and kinda busy but not extremely busy. Once we walked inside it reeked! About half of the restaurant was full of Indian customers. The lady who was our waitress looks very busy and with a long face. I think she’s the owner. The food we ordered was so small in portion. It was sad. The restaurant isn’t that big. But they brought out food to a wong table and I saw that at first but was bit 100% sure till the table next to us said we don’t think we had ordered this dish. After bringing our dish to another table. Not too long later they brought another tables dish to us. I sad it’s the next table not ours. How stupid can thry be. I don’t work there and I knew the dish belongs to the table next to us. Anyway I won’t recommend this place with the bad service and especially they are not known for their raw fishes and Japanese food. Spicy scallop roll. It came out very small and the roll wss falling apart before we picked it up. Tempura! Extremely greasy and dark. Which means dirty oil and not hot enough temperature. Chirashi Sushi 2 super thin tuna, 2 thin salmon, 2 thin cold and unbaked eel. Rice portion half a bowl super pressed to flat. All the dishes are small! I don’t mind paying more. But please give me some better quality! I WOULDN’T not recommend this plac

I was the ONLY person sitting in the restaurant during lunch time on a Wednesday. The server was awful. She was cold, unfriendly, and barely spoke English. She tossed a menu at me when she sat me and walked away. I told her that I already knew what I wanted but she walked away in a huff and started peeling green beans at another table. She never came back to take my order. So I stuck my head in the kitchen and told the cook/manager/someone who spoke English that I was ready to order. I ordered the cashew chicken lunch. It had absolutely zero spice. However it was not nearly as bad as others describe. It was fresh. The vegetables were perfect. I’d say as average as you can get for a cheap Thai lunch.

This review is for the Chicken Yellow Curry. It was a «pretend» chicken yellow curry. Instead of pineapple they had hard and still uncooked potatoes. I believe they watered down the coconut milk with water or use regular cows milk(or both). And the amount of food was extremely low compared to the amount of food. The white rice was soupy not like the usual white rice you get with Thai food, Chinese food or any Asian food. Sadly It was just a disappointment.

We got take-out so we can’t comment on the service which seemed to be the biggest complaint most people had. This review is solely about the food: Pad Thai — Dry and lacking crunchy bean sprouts or any peanuts to speak of. We got it with tofu which was fine but it was really just rice noodles with the fried tofu and some vague evidence of bean sprouts Drunken noodles — flavor was good — a little on the spicier side which is what I’d expect — and the chicken pieces were fairly tender and not overcooked Tom Kha(soup) — pretty good; great lime flavor — either this or the drunken noodles were the best in the order Orange Chicken — deep fried sweet little balls of chicken in some orange glaze. A little on the soggy side of greasy but the flavor was definitely citrus so it held true to its description Stir fried noodles(chicken) — this was a disappointment. dry slivers of chicken that appeared identical in every way to the drunken noodles except for the flavor. It would’ve been nice for them to label the containers so that we had a shot of knowing which was which The vegetables were all cut so coarsely that you’d better be with family so that when you stuff a big hunk of pepper, onion or broccoli in your mouth or gnaw it off of the fork or chopsticks into two pieces, no one thinks any less of you Sad to say, I was not surprised at the quality of the food. Pretty much every place in town is on the average side and this place is no exception. So far, no one’s gotten sick and it saved us some time cooking our own dinner so that’s why it gets a 3 out of 5 stars.
