I used to go to the Lodge regularly and enjoyed the food and good sized portions, but hadn’t been in several years. I have been twice in the past 3 months and both times were disappointed. In October, I had the smothered chicken sandwich, and although it was tasty, it seemed much smaller than I remembered. Most recently, I had the French Dip which I always remember being delicious with lean rare roast beef. This most recent visit, the roast beef was well done and it looked like they took all of the end pieces and scraps and shoved them in the sandwich. I had to take all of the meat out of the sandwich to take out the fatty parts. It seems like quality has gone way down.

a good place for pub food and a salad bar. my wife likes the salad bar for 8.99 its all you can eat and she is basically a rabbit. you have to be careful what you order, I ordered a seafood dish very disappointing. I should have known better. stick to the pub food, burgers ect…

its ok, i mean the idea of this place is pretty cool and the restaurant itself looks really nice and well decorated, but thats about all it has going for it. i have been a few times but not again. i got the family style chicken and it was pretty gross, go to wrights for that, another time i got the prime rib, yuck, fat all throughout and when i complained they didnt apologize or fix it. staff is pretty rude and the location of this place is poor. not a good location at all. annoying to get to actually. so in conclusion it is an awesomely decorated restaurant with crummy food and bad service.

Went Oct 11th and found the place dirty and the food gross. Our booth was dirty. Table hadn’t been completely washed, had large crumbs and grease all over. The walls were splattered with food and grease. Ordered baked scallops. They were the large ones and looked good, but we’re so salty I couldn’t eat a second one. Waitress was nice about it but… YUCKYUCKYUCK never going back!

My wife and I went on a Saturday Night and it was pretty good, so we went back yesterday. I wish we did not go back. My burger was not good… it was over done and the lettuce was wilted. I have to say, the service is good and the place is very clean. But I will not be going back.

Just ordered take out… Clam cakes and White Clam Chowder. The potatoes in the chowder were raw. It was really disappointing since the clam cakes were so good!(BTW: Red chowder has a beef broth) :P

Was greeted promptly by Keith who was very friendly. However, his friendliness did not make up for the crumb covered table we were delivered to. The tables are also worn out Formica. When we were walked into the back room, my nose was hit with a «funky» smell. I’m not sure what is causing, but this room STINKS!!! We were promptly greeted by Beth-Anne who was very friendly as well. We quickly ordered drinks, which Beth-Anne promptly delivered. I ordered a burger, when it arrived, I was very disappointed. This burger clearly a frozen pattie. A uniform perfect circle of complete even thickness. The taste was nothing to be desired and was actually absent of taste other than freezer burn. The fries were abundant and decent tasting. As we sat at the table and looked around, the worn out carpet is covered in dirt, food, and small pieces of trash. I think the«funky» smell is coming from the carpet. I also think the food debris and other stuff on the floor could easily be picked up with a push roller carpet broom. The ceiling tiles are all stained or mismatched. I’m bothered by the lack of maintenance in this restaurant. A staple in the town of Lincoln, in disrepair and full of foul odors. The service was good and friendly. However, the management is clearly making a choice to buy frozen food and to not maintain the interior. The summary: 1. Good Service 2. Horrible environment, dirty, dilapidated, and smelly. 3. Fair to Poor burgers at best. Who wants frozen processed meat???

I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment. The décor inside reminded me of Bugaboo creek. The salad bar was more than adequate. A really good value if you ask me. The all you can eat chicken with pasta and French fries was a really good deal. I was impressed by the quality and the quantity. The service was excellent. I’m glad I gave this place a chance.

The Lodge is always a sure fire ok. The bar is usually pretty full– there are 3 high tops and a decent bar around. The last 2 times I’ve sat in the dining area. The décor is rustic log cabinesque. I got the French onion soup and salad bar. The soup was fabulous– just the right about of salty savory it should be. The downfall was the salad bar which should be awesome but just is so so. The lettuce/salad mix is iceberg and not much of a starter. It’d be nice to see some mesclun greens and spinach. The other toppings were decent, but why have shredded carrots and small carrots. The real reason I go, specifically on Tuesdays is for kids meals– 1.99 with dessert! Pretty great deal!

This is my second time around since July of this year and it seems like not much has changed in terms of food quality. I do have to point out that there is a really foul and distinct odor when i entered the Resturant. I couldn’t put my finger on what it smelled like but it was not pleasant. I decided to overlook, we were immediately seated and I couldn’t decide on what to get. Most of the items on their menu is pricey. I went with the buffalo chicken wrap and my girlfriend picked the salad buffet with onion soup. The décor is very nice, the setup and views are well designed and I think that’s as far as this place goes. My wrap was subpar, the fries were eh… I’ll let my pictures speak for themselves. My girlfriends salad was not so stellar, she’s really big on salads almost always compliments a good fresh selection however this time she mentioned to me that the cucumbers looked outdated, the onions had different color tones and the carrots tasted watery… I highly doubt I will returning here as the quality of food in this establishment is subpar not to mention the indescribable reek. Managment needs to step up, the owners need to make a change as this place is in need of it.

Seems to be an elderly restaurant with very limited seasoning. Steak tips were nothing but gristle. Only like the salad bar.

Enjoyed my visit! One or two tweaks and the place could be a legend. Loaded nachos was great, but salsa was out of a jar, BUT the STEAK on the nachos was AWESOME. It’s just little stuff like that. Burger bun was great, trimmings were great, but the burger meat was just ok. Once again, a few little tweaks can bring this place from good, to favorite restaurant. Staff was super friendly and professional, place was clean, and service fast. Will definitely go back.

We arrived on a Tuesday night which happened to be «kid’s night». I was happy that the place wasn’t crawling with kids, but it was still pretty busy. I had high expectations for this place since it seemed to be popular. Our waitress took a while to get to us but in her defense they were busy and more than likely understaffed. She was pleasant and had a warm greeting. I ordered one of their«specialty drinks» which had vodka, grenadine and lime. It was disgusting and burned my throat. I asked for a simple glass of Riesling and was told we’d still have to pay the price of the signature drink although I took half a sip. I didn’t care, but found it odd, as if the customer isn’t happy they should replace something and not charge you. I guess I could have kept the drink since I paid for it and used it to fuel my car– as it was that strong. We ordered the Lincoln Lodge Logs as an appetizer, which was 4 baked pretzel sticks with«sweet whole grain honey mustard sauce». First of all, the pretzels were supposed to be lightly buttered and salted and they were soaked in oil and had entirely too much salt. Secondly, the sauce was not sweet, or had a honey mustard flavor. If it was whole grain it must have been whole grain vinegar. It was awful. Once I scraped off the excess salt and wiped the oil off with a napkin it was good. I’m a sucker for pretzel and warm bread, so I was happy with the basics. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and my husband had an order of chicken tenders with a bowl of red chowder. With my entrée I got the salad bar which was included. The red chowder was«okay» according to my husband but the portion was equivalent to a cup anywhere else we have dined. Also, the honey mustard served with his tenders did not look or taste like that awful sauce served with our appetizer. The chicken tenders were bland and not very good. My chicken parmigiana tasted worse than a frozen food entrée. The cheese was plastic like and the sauce did not taste fresh or homemade. The portion was decent in size but quality was awful. So why did I give this place a 2 star rating? The service was pleasant. Although we had to pay for that disgusting drink the waitress felt bad so didn’t charge for the red chowder because she felt bad. Also, the atmosphere was nice. The place was clean and easy to navigate through. We were seated right below an air conditioning unit and I didn’t enjoy the unit spitting on me, but I edged away from it and it wasn’t an issue after that. Also, the salad bar wasn’t bad; the selection of toppings were plentiful and fresh. They also had cottage cheese, some fruit and other selections there. Also, the plates were served out of a cooler and there was fresh bread available. One other thing I appreciated about this place is that the employees worked together. I noticed the host was helping carrying out plates to tables and everyone seemed to pitch in and help everyone. I liked that a lot, even if the food was terrible. Bottom line: if you have kids come on Tuesdays because kid’s meals are $ 1.99. Don’t drink any mixed drinks because the bartender has no idea how to make a drink. If it comes from a bottle or can you should be fine. Don’t expect great food, and plan to pay a lot more than you should have to. So yeah, don’t bother with this place. I can think of several fast food venues with better food.

Casual hearty family dinning! Hubby & I had time for a lengthy relaxing dinner on a Friday night in Lincoln. We don’t usually find ourselves in Lincoln for dinner but we had decided early on to try The Lodge Pub. We were seated immediately in a booth in the back dinning room. The restaurant was lively. The décor was exactly like a lodge! Big deer heads mounted on the wall, antler chandeliers I even think I saw the mythical Jackalope mounted too! We ordered drinks & the onion rings first. Service was good. Drinks came & our server warned me that mine was pretty much straight up Kettle One so she also brought me a side car of cranberry & ice. The homemade onion rings were so light & crispy. We ordered our prime rib & the baked stuffed lobster dinners. We visited the very average salad bar prior to dinner. The warm french baguette at the end of the salad bar was a happy surprise. My jaw dropped when the plates arrived! The prime rib was precisely cooked how I like it. It was impressive like a dinosaur cut! I ordered the 24 oz because I was looking to take home leftovers & that was NOT an issue. Tasty & tender, my taste buds were doing back flips! The lobster was at least a pound & a half, stuffed with plenty lovely scallops & lobster. So yummy! Between the two entrees we had a surf & turf going. We enjoyed our evening at The Lodge and will go back.
