We had a very satisfying dinner here after a long day of hiking. They have a nice selection of beers in bottles and on tap. The crab cake appetizer was tasty but not the best I’ve had. The burgers were tasty, especially the brie and bacon burger. And the sweet potato fries lived up to the hype.

Burgers were good, fries were good. I just wish they didn’t charge extra for every darned thing. Bison burger with cheddar was excellent. It was on a Kaiser roll. It was very limp and soggy, so I would ask them to toast the Kaiser roll. I got the sweet potato waffle fries and maple mayo. The cheddar was extra, the waffle fries extra, the maple mayo extra. Hubby got the classic burger with regular fries. He inhaled it! The décor is rustic. Overall, it is clean with excellent servers.

If you are into burgers and beer, then this place does not disappoint. A relative newcomer to the area compared to the more established competition(i.e. the Station, Gypsy Café, Gordi’s). They have several specialty burgers on the menu and also have the option to customize your own. The prices are more than fair, especially in in area where restaurants are known for gouging because the tourist industry there somehow makes it acceptable to charge extra. Almost all the beers on tap are of the micro-brew variety, and they rotate specials out frequently. If you are feeling ambitious, try the Smitty, which is a burger between two grilled cheese sandwiches. That’s right… the bun is actually 2 sandwiches. Not for the faint of heart, but impressive nonetheless. Good for kids, too.

I am really sorry to say this. One of the servers has such bad teeth, we can’t stand to eat here any longer. My best friend said the same thing. Buy her dental insurance!

Always a great meal with a great atmosphere. First time in the new larger location and we loved it. Our server was amazing, upbeat and super energetic. We had a great experience after leaving another restaurant after not so great service.

My family and I visited Black Mountain this past weekend and we were absolutely NOT disappointed. I read reviews for a good lunch place in town and hit the jackpot here. These sweet potato fries everyone is losing their mind about here on Unilocal… it is absolutely justified. They are light and amazing and ridiculously addictive. I had the jalapeño muffin grilled cheese… if you are looking for an amazing, grown up palate pleaser… this was it. I think this sandwich would be amazing with a glass of Pinot Noir… but since I was on mommy duty and HAD to be responsible, I did not partake… my husband’s burger was big and delicious and served up with a side of bacon baked beans… please try these if you like beans. They are amazing. All in all, a little gem of a place in a town that has struggled in terms of restaurants. Let’s hope they are here to stay!

My friend and I only discovered Black Mtn Burger Co after a quick scroll through Unilocal as we were starving from our 2 – 3 hour hike at Arethusa Falls. I’m so glad that we made a pit stop here! Not only are the prices ridiculously cheap(less than $ 10 for a HALF pound burger with toppings AND fries), but the service is one of the best I’ve seen. At first, we ordered the ribs(comes with a Caesar salad and fries) and the Triple Trouble burger(sweet banana peppers, bacon, and ‘Sweet Baby Ray’s’ BBQ sauce) with sweet potato fries. However, while waiting for our food, the waiter came out bearing bad news that the chef had just dropped the last rack of ribs and apologized repeatedly. As a part of his apology, he gave us the Caesar salad and a dessert on the house. Not only were we shocked that he informed us of the dropped rib, we were amazed at how we got free food as well. You don’t see this type of service in NY! To replace the ribs, we ordered the Swiss Mushroom burger with poutine fries at no additional cost(not sure if it didn’t cost extra because of the dropped ribs, but I wouldn’t be shocked if there was no additional cost for substitutions regardless as my sweet potato fries did not cost extra). Both burgers were delicious. The sweet potato fries are BYFAR the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. They were crunchy on the outside, but still soft inside. My favorite thing though was that these sweet potato fries were waffle fries! If you know me, you’d know that I LOVE waffle fries, so to see sweet potato waffle fries definitely was the highlight of the meal. We were so stuffed that we asked for our free Sweet Potato Maple cheesecake to go. However, we took a peek at it and decided to try a bite first… that resulted in us just finishing the entire slice on the spot. This was one of the best meals from our road trip. If you’re a hiker on the East Coast, I’d definitely recommend driving to Arethusa Falls in New Hampshire and then going to Black Mtn Burger Co after. Trust me, it’s the best post workout meal ever.

There’s nothing like a tasty burger after a day of winter weather hiking up two four thousand mountains with over four thousand feet of elevation gain. With that being said, I and my hiking partners were ravenous when we arrived at Black Mtn Burger Co. Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed with our large party, but I think she may have been new. Despite this appearance, she did a pretty good job overall and was apologetic when need be. I had an awesome bison burger with sweet potato waffle fries. The burger was tasty and the fries were perfectly cooked. I washed it all down with a Tuckerman’s Pale Ale. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and I didn’t hear any complaints. There was a moment of excitement when the restaurant lost power in part of the building. They were able to keep their stuff together while explaining what was going on to patrons. The environment was pretty comfortable and casual and was a good place for a post hike meal. I enjoyed myself and would definitely go back.

Whether you are staying at Loon Mountain, at one of the ubiquitous condominiums dotting the mountainside, or at other lodging in Lincoln, Black Mountain Burger is within walking distance to most, or at the very least, a quick car ride. That was my recent experience doing some ski profiles on a freelance assignment. Being on the road, and fully engaged in a paleo-centric way of eating for the past three months, finding food that’s good tasting and not laden with grains can be a challenge. Well lunch at Black Mountain Burger Co. made it easier than I expected. The iceberg wedge salad, topped with a medium well with a 1⁄3 lb. Black Angus burger was perfect at 1:30 in the afternoon. Their hearty burgers come in several varieties. Want an adult beverage? There are rotating taps of local, craft beers, as well as a full-service bar. And if burgers aren’t your thing, then they offer numerous non-burger options, too., Black Mountain Burger Co. is a fun place with a great atmosphere. And their staff will make you feel like a regular, even if it’s your very first visit!

Good burgers after a long day of hiking. Excellent list of toppings and selection of burgers to pick from. Wait can be long especially during Summer peak hours. Bonus points for malt vinegar on the table.

Awesome burgers. Great atmosphere– even a neat couch area by the bar where you can have apps and drinks in a homey environment. Bottled root beer is my fave and they carry Polar brand– really good! All food was on point, service was super friendly too. Was staying in the lodge across the street, so this was a nice surprise that was fast and affordable!

It’s rare to visit a restaurant where everyone’s food is perfectly cooked and delicious. The server, Alicia, was a delight. She recommended the fried mac and cheese balls which were simply AMAZING! The mac and cheese was perfect and the breading was light and perfectly crisp. The poutine was baked and looked as appetizing as it sounded.(All of the dishes were plated with care too!!) The not your mothers root beer was a treat and the watermelon mojito was divine.(They even grow their own mint!!) For dinner, we had the frank and beans, sweet potato fries, burger with pineapple, philly steak, and classic burger with bacon. Everything was perfectly grilled and looked as good as it tasted. If you are looking for an above average dinner experience with food that you recognize, look no further. I can’t wait to come back!

Came here for a hearty lunch after a morning of ziplining over at alpine adventures. It’s short drive up the road so it’s convenient. They have a great beer and cocktail selection. They also have great burgers and options for your burgers like different buns and add ins. I ordered the bison burger on a pretzel bun with pepper jack cheese and it was delish! I got the burger med rare and I think it was more on the med well side but it was still pretty good. I just liked how I was able to get it on a pretzel bun. The pretzel bun made it really good! All in all this a great place for solid burgers, drinks and great service!
