Well. Found Real barbecue at the coast in Lincoln city. Great atmosphere and even better barbecue there’s not much more than I can say other than really great barbecue. Definitely a must stop must eat.

Best meal I’ve EVER had in LC. We got a large order for take out containing brisket, smoked chicken, mac salad, beans and cornbread. I’m a huge fan of brisket. The brisket here was absolutely delicious, but I think it might be the best smoked chicken I’ve EVER had. So tender and tasty. They have a few sauces to choose from. My favorite was the«Savory». If they put that in a bottle, I will buy multiple bottles every time I’m in LC. SUPER friendly staff. If I lived local. I’d be in here at least weekly. We can’t wait to return next time we’re at the beach.

Excellent BBQ! BF and I wanted to try someplace new for dinner and we both thought BBQ sounded good. Ordered take out, and they had the food ready to go when we arrived. We got the Brisket and Smoked Chicken dinner with two sides and corn bread. Both the Brisket and Chicken were delectable, chicken was so tender and smoked to perfection. Sides were pretty good — we got the Macaroni Salad and BBQ Beans. Cornbread was a little dry, but not bad. Very friendly service and prices were reasonable. Overall a great place for BBQ in Lincoln City. We can’t wait to go back on our next trip!

Had a great brisket sandwich– smoky and tender. The cilantro mayo was a wonderful addition. Loved the macaroni salad and PHAT Mac. Plan to stop next time we’re in town

Found this on Unilocal when we were in the area last month. Was a good find. Food was good although the meals could be a little more complete: basically you get your meat and something small on the side. All the meat was very well prepared and seasoned. I had a sandwich on special that was superb: sausage and pulled pork with sautéed veggies that was super spicy and savory.

If you like barbecue with the kick and this is the place to come. So many of the dishes here include a little bit of sriracha or jalapeño or horseradish and it really makes a difference in the food. Even the coleslaw is a step up. Hurry. Not all meats last until closing time.

The best BBQ I have had in Oregon! All their meats are tender and smoked to perfection. They really take time to create some amazing meals! Also, they are one of the few places that delivers in Lincoln City. My boyfriend and I love the PHAT Hawaiian sandwich and the PHAT Phries. The beef brisket tacos are my favorite, though!

Disappointed to find they’re closed Monday, which they didn’t mention in their big ad.

I’m staying at my former in laws at the beach so my child can visit with her grandparents for a few days. Spotted Lynn’s review on Unilocal and we were persuaded to call in some takeout. We found out later we coulda had it delivered to the house for less than $ 3. Sweet! The lady on the phone was kind and friendly. She was the same in person. The restaurant was clean and had a few tables inside. The food was ready when we arrived. We got a family pack with brisket and pulled pork. They were out of brisket at 4:00 :(We picked ½ chicken instead. Family packs come with two sides, four pieces of good cornbread, honey, butter, and four little cups of barbecue sauce. Two were labeled savory two were labeled sweet. We also ordered a half slab of baby backs. They were so tender they fell off the bone when I went to cut them apart. We all really liked both of the barbecue sauces. The meats were savory and smoky. The coleslaw was peppery and had bite. The beans were spicy and had a great kick. This was a delicious meal for the four of us. We had a lot of meat leftover. Our two reasons for not giving a five were 1) we’d like more sauce for four people and 2) the sides were not really enough for more than two people. Next time, my in laws say, they will just add more sides. Overall, we all concurred that the seasoning of everything was spot on. Even the sides were nicely flavored. Thats sometimes a bit hard to come by. Especially with coleslaw, which is usually a mushy mayonaissey mess. This was still crunchy and quite good. The beans were surprisingly not the usual sweet beans you get at barbecue places. My kid’s grandpa liked them a lot. The only thing we really missed? Some good beer to go with our meal. If you get bbq here, get some beer too!

My first experience was a great one! Food came out quickly, tasted great, filled me up, and the server was busy but very friendly. Nothing to complain about at all. Learned that they deliver as well, so that’s fantastic as I live in the area!

Really good smoked flavor and great portions. .you won’t leave hungry. Prices were very good. Music was 80’s hard rock… not what you would expect in a restaurant but Ok. Worth the trip.

The staff is really friendly. It is a great place to watch sports and have some great BBQ. The brisket and pulled pork were fantastic. They serve them by weight and you get one side for each half pound you get. We selected the macaroni salad and potato salad, and the macaroni salad was fantastic. The potato salad was only so so, as was the corn bread. We also ordered the house special mac and cheese called the Phat Mac and it was delicious. The place closes at 8 pm, so be sure to get there early, We were also told they may close earlier if they run out of meat before that. Will be back!

This place sounded great by all the reviews and we love good bbq. I had the half chicken which was very good. My husband had the chicken and ribs. His chicken was pretty dried out and the ribs were just so so. The side dishes are left on the counter and served up by the waitress. None of the food was hot enough for me.

SOLID St. Luis style ribs. Great sauces and the Mac was good too. The ribs had everything I look for. Tender but not over cooked. Moist and a little fatty. The sauces were all good but the savory was my fave.

Excellent BBQ — close enough to pop in and pick up dinner to take home. We’re both big BBQ fans — and there is some fine fine BBQ available in this part of the state — but none as close to us that is ss good as Phat Benny’s. We tried favorites this first time — husband got the quarter-chicken with their«Phat Mac» & cheese(has bits of shredded BBQ beef and rib meat baked in.) It must have been a HUGE chicken, because he ate his fill and had plenty left for take-home supper. Though he did practically lick the mac&cheese dish. I ordered the pulled pork lunch with cornbread and cole slaw. While the pork was mouth-watering and yummy — the slaw wasn’t quite to my taste. I’ll pass on the coleslaw next time and try the house beans or potato salad. The owner was there and asked if we were local — we are — and when he heard we had moved from Texas, he had the kitchen send us a sample of his brisket. Glad to say it was fork tender, juicy, and excellent. I understand why he wanted us to try it. It’s good enough to get us back in the door in the future. 2 kinds of sauce made in-house. I didn’t try the one they call«sweet» — but the one called«savory» was plenty sweet for me. I was expecting a little more of a vinegar snake-bite, but for a mild sauce it was okay. Service was friendly, and the place practically sparkles with enthusiasm. They do carry out, and they deliver locally — Hooray!!!

My husband and I had been to this location a few times to go to Oceans Apart, which has moved to a new location.(Barbecue and Hawaiian are two of our favorite kinds of food, so it’s kind of funny that both have been in this location!) Décor is a little bare bones, but that’s not what we came for. We came by on 1÷9÷15 just after 6pm. For a little bit, we were the only people there and got good attention from our server. Each of us ordered the pulled pork. The pork was amazing and tender without any burned pieces. The cornbread was a little messy but crumbly and tasty. I definitely appreciated it seeming to be made from scratch. I also had coleslaw which I mixed with the pork. So good! Two main criticisms: We were apparently the last to eat the pulled pork that night, since the people after us were told they were out. Then other patrons were also told that they were out of chicken and spare ribs. We left before 7 – Yikes! I imagine they are still trying to figure out the appropriate amounts to have on-hand, as I’m guessing they are fairly new. So for now, get there early if you want the best selection, but I’m sure they are working on it! Other criticism is that while their sauces were VERY good, I would have loved a couple more choices! Maybe a spicy mustard one. All in all I would recommend it!

I felt like we were family the first time we walked in just to pick up a menu I didn’t have to eat after that because they kept giving a stool samples of everything they made took the menu home it was several days later came back treated as though we were family comfortable place plenty of room very casual but I’m telling you right here the ribs are phenomenal. They make a meatloaf like none I have ever had in my life and I am a meatloaf eater no fillers no oatmeal no bread crumbs all meet you gotta try it to understand it the blackberry barbecue sauce oh my goodness I dipped my meatloaf sandwich in it and couldn’t stop eating there pineapple pulled pork excellent tangy good they have phat fries that are a meal full if brisket. mac and cheeses full of brisket. This is a must stop and eat location you’ll want to thank me for it after you do
