The only positive thing was the server was friendly. Chili was barely warm, boneless chunks were supposed to be grilled but you could tell they were baked, over baked at that. Tomatoes on salad were over ripe and mushy. Televisions were so loud we couldn’t even hear each other talk, and there were only about 10 people in restaurant. Definitely will not be back.

Boneless chicken wings were very good. Onion straws were not what I was expecting but the sauce that came with them was awesome. I had a few rum and cokes that were a bit on the weak side but overall it was a good experience.

Previous reviews were mixed, and since we were staying at the Courtyard we thought we’d give it a shot. Jessica was a sweetheart with a great personality all night. She let me try a couple of beer samples even though they came in the little plastic cups they serve salad dressing in. When my wife ordered a margarita Jess asked what kind of tequila she wanted and Patron was one of the choices. I asked how much extra for that and she said, «nothing…same price!» I told my wife to order the Patron. Boneless wings were 60 cents apiece so I got 6 plus the Italian ciabatta sandwich with a green bean casserole on the side for a buck up charge. Amazing. Wifey got a huge salad that they charged $ 2.50 extra for some chicken. Ended up being a $ 10 salad but she was happy so ok. Got the bill and the two awesome IPAs I had were only $ 3 each and my wife’s Patron margarita was only $ 4. Long story short = food was decent, Jessica was great, and you can get a great buzz with good booze for cheap. What’s not to like?

For a place that has a sign out front claiming 24 beers on tap, I found the craft selection extremely lacking. The few that did strike my interest, were tapped out. I had to settle for a Slow Ride from New Belgium. Tho not a bad beer, not what I was looking for. I ordered the Black &BBQ chicken wrap. The sauce was good and truly spicy as advertised. However it couldn’t hide the fact that the chicken was grossly over cooked and dry. I spent the next hour digging«chicken jerky» out of my teeth. We opted for patio dining. DON’T! They don’t have chairs, just the most uncomfortable little stools I’ve ever sat on in my life. I must say though that our server was friendly and attentive.

The bartender was really atrocious. She had no idea what beers were on tap, and brought me the wrong beer. She made the same mistake for the guy next to me, brought him the correct beer, but ignored me completely. My wife had to ask for a blue moon three times, and the bartender forgot the orange. She never apologized. Service was horrible, and what’s worse is that the bartender was freely admitting that she didn’t know her job. I’d rate this place lower if i could.

They managed to screw up a grilled cheese sandwich. That should suffice in this review to express how my family and I feel after our one and only stop at this restaurant.

Our party was 5 of 9 patrons on a Thursday night. We sat at the bar. Ordered our food and the order was wrong and took 45 minutes to get. Additionally our fries were only a partial order on all three dinners. The bartender and manager were more worried about chit-chatting than the customers. We spent sixty dollars on just one of the two tickets in our party. We asked for the check twice and took forever to get that too! The food was not good and lukewarm. We had never been there and our friend talked us into going. We will never go back! It was a waste of good money and time.

I’ve experienced better, all right. I just didn’t think J’s was very good. Neither did my lunch partner. We both had lunch specials($ 5.99) and both included the greasiest onion rings you could imagine. I left some on the plate… so it has to be really bad for me to leave fried anything on the plate. My pizza sub just didn’t have any flavor other than the tons of green peppers. It needed more and/or a better sauce. My lunch partner’s wrap was also bland. To J’s credit the restaurant was clean and our server was friendly and kept my glass full. But that wasn’t enough to overcome the rather bad lunch… we won’t be back.

If you want good food and good drinks you need to find somewhere else to go. This place is horrible! The pool table isnt even and keeps the que ball if you scratch. The food was subpar at best. The bartender made me a Long Island Ice Tea with sweet tea. WTF??? Then they made me a Captian and Pepsi(They dont serve Coke) and idk how but somehow made that drink horrible as well. I couldnt drink either one and they still charged me for them!!. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Nice place. Ordered the pickles which were huge and delicious. I got the barn burner wings which were great and hot. Loved the flavor of the sauce. Wings came out hot with a little crisp dripping in sauce. Wife had the club which tasted good though looked a little pedestrian.

A very sub-par experience on Sunday, July 27th. We took our three grown child in town visiting us for the weekend to this establishment. There were more staff in the restaurant than tables with customers, yet our waitress did not keep drinks refilled or remove any dishes from the table(until we finally had to get up and go ask for refills, and then ask her to clear a couple of plates). The food taste and quality was actually the biggest issue. We had five meals and a sampler appetizer. None of us finished our food because it was either tasteless, tasted«off», or over/under cooked. We usually NEVER complain at a restaurant, but my husband did flag down the manager to respectfully express to him the issues. He was nearly non-responsive, and never apologized for the shortcomings and then asked us how he could fix it. It was very awkward. One meal we asked not to be charged for(alfredo), and they took $ 3 off the burger which was brought out without the bacon that was requested, and which tasted so bad I only took 2 bites, not to mention was cold as I waited over 5 minutes for them to bring bacon out to the table, rather than taking the burger back to the kitchen. All of our plates had at least half(if not most) the food left on them. Our bill ended up being $ 70 with the two items adjusted on it, I truly felt that more could/should have been done. I will say at this point we will never eat there again, nor suggest that anyone else does either. If it had just been the service, our tip would have taken care of relaying our displeasure with the situation. However, it seems this«pub» has a larger issue — lack of caring management and staff, and very poor quality of food/preparation.

If you love bad service and very inexperience bartenders then this is your place! The only bright side is happy hour. But even then, you get what you pay for

Just your average ordinary bar food. Friendly Service. It’s really hard for me to rate any higher than 3 because they didn’t do anything outstanding to deserve it. I think they should try a little bit harder with their menu.

I had an Italian sub, which was delicious. My boyfriend had Thai lettuce wraps, which might have been good had they not been soaking in too much sauce, turning the finger food into a soggy mess. My Dr Pepper smelled strongly of mildew. I’ve worked in a kitchen, and I know this means the soda fountain heads have not been cleaned. The waitress acted as if she could not smell it and defended their cleaning habits, without offering another drink or taking the charge off the bill. J’s is hit or miss, we don’t visit often for this reason.

I had the wings, vegetable of the day, and garlic mashed potates. I had the wings naked, with the bbq blast and garlic sauces on the side. Good wings, the bbq blast has good flavor and not too much heat. The garlic sauce is good too, better for dipping I think. This Tuesday there was karaōke night. As I was passing through Lima, I didn’t ask if every Tuesday night was karaōke. I don’t know how you feel about karaōke, but last night was, well. .. .

J’s would get one star but it is a tad more than«Frozen out of the Box» and when I say a tad I mean a tad. «Par» Definition’: even, expected average score. Thats what I would give the service at j’s. Par” Use CAUTIONWHENORDERING! up-charges galore, if you expect ranch or blue cheese with your wings that are already priced on the high side of local competitors, Dont! there is an up charge for your first dipping sauce, haha McDonalds’ does the same! but theirs is only 15 cents. Consider spending your dining dollars else where until this very small attempting to compete with beer barrel place understands what acceptable Do’s and Don’ts are of running a sit-down dining complex. tip #1 Remove added gratuity of 18% from checks when a quad date comes for a quick bite and a round of drinks. 18% added to already higher priced drinks is absurd! After tax and gratuity you will be paying 24.5% more than the menu price! beware! Tip#2 if you feel feel it is necessary that you you need to sell dipping sauces consider building the price of one ounce of your World famous Ranch dip into the price of dishes that it usually comes standard with(by most standards). Ex: 6 wings $ 6.99 + ranch $.75=$ 7.74 = I feel im being up charged— Better way: 6 wings sauce included Total $ 7.75.=. Im not angry b/I ordered it and you receipt is not filled with up charges. I am certain if you are the owner your mind is sling defensive mortars, DONT Take this as constrictive criticism!
