Julia is an excellent hair stylist and uses many techniques that I have not seen done on Kauai. I have been going to her salon for quite a while and she does a great job every time. When I want to make changes to my style, she always has good suggestions on what would look best for me. She was the first and still the best on Kauai to provide eyelash extensions and cosmetic tattoos.
She is very flexible on when I can see her and will schedule an appointment after work and on Saturdays.

Julia is like a talented samurai with her scissors… her years of experience showed as she is a master of her trade… and her prices are super reasonable, a fun lady to chat with and good heart who also makes you look marvelous

Julia is an amazing talent and beautiful person. Her expertise is extraordinary. I had a difficult time finding a stylist that lived up to my standards (hehe) since moving back home. The best stylists in my experience have been from Japan and Korea. They know my hair best and their techniques are first class. I finally found my stylist, but she is on Oahu which means I need to spend extra money to fly over to get my hair done. That’s how selective I am with stylists and important it is to trust anyone with my hair. Since I can’t see Naomi at Raiz salon on Oahu often, I needed to find someone locally. I’ve come across some good stylists, but not great. With a recommendation from my cousin, who raved about her technique (the style and technique my asian stylists have), I wanted to make an appointment right away. Upon our first meeting, we clicked. I brought in samples of what I liked, had a great consultation, got to see some of her expertise at work and was blown away. I call her «Edward Scissorshand» lol I felt confident she knew her stuff. I trusted her with my hair. Sold! I never felt as excited about getting my hair cut with anyone other than my regular stylist on Oahu and in Colorado. She’s also a great person to talk to. My 1 hour hair appt became a 2hour getaway. Thanks, Julia!
She moved into a smaller space at Harbor Mall, but I like that it’s cozier and more personal, rather than sitting in a room with a bunch of strangers with hair problems and their kids and families who tag along. lol
With her expertise, I was amazed at the affordable cut for my long locks. I am used to paying at least $ 60 for just a cut/​shampoo/​style. I paid half of what I normally do. Cost is never an issue with me if it means getting a very good one. Thank you Julia!
I’d like to see more exclusive hair products from Asia, but the «Miracle 10» leave in potion she recommended is awesome for my fine hair.
