Lunatic Fringe Salon

First time at Lunatic Fringe and love the inviting and warm atmosphere. The owner Lisa is super friendly and helpful and seems she works hard to keep her salon running smoothly. Candice was wonderful with my granddaughters hair and provided lots of helpful info for caring for her hair.

It was two months since my last appointment and Flashback (hair color for men), so I tried Lunatic Fringe Salon for the first time since relocating to Ohio from Texas. Mica and the team here, knew exactly what color I needed and how to cut my hair. I have never felt so comfortable and at home in a «salon» before. Really a first class place with wonderfully experienced professionals in all aspects of hair care. Thank you so much. Your new customer, Doug H.

I recieved a wash, cut, and blow dry by Katie and she did an amazing job! She listened to me and didn’t cut it any shorter than what I asked for. She explained everything she was doing before going ahead and doing it. She also did a great job on a natural looking face of makeup. Everyone here is super friendly and the salon is very nice. Highly recommended.

It was my first time at a salon about 6 months ago and I wanted a nice change. I’ve been debating whether to write this or not, but I feel it could serve as a warning before coming into the salon. They were very nice upon checking in and asked if I wanted a beverage. Very friendly staff! So my hair… I went in asking for an ash brown to gray ombré and what I got was a full head full of foiled ash brown highlights (note: my hair is naturally a dark brown color). Being unfamiliar with the process, I remained hopeful. After the bleaching and coloring process, I came out with a heavy contrast, unnatural, unblended looking highlights– what I really didn’t want. The cut and style of it was fine. I felt bad because I’ve already spent so much time in the chair that I just didn’t want to say anything. I hopped out of the chair, paid, and still left a nice tip. Lesson of that trip: go in with plenty of images of what you want because one or two photos, or even describing can get lost in translation! Other than that mistake, it was an enjoyable experience. Now, I’m just cautious to dye my hair again.

This salon is awesome in how they treat women. They are so kind and you feel like a Queen when you leave.
The salon is very clean and decorated beautifully. The manager is very organized and all the stylist do a great job of making you feel and look your best. The prices are reasonable, comparable to other salons. So glad they are in our area.

Kristina works magic to take my dry, damaged hair from flat to fabulous. She has transformed me from a dirty blonde to a bodacious red head twice now. The customer experience is what it is all about here. Hand/​arm massages, WINE!, and everyone is friendly and attentive. I’m hooked.

I finally found the local stylist I’ve been searching for! I’ve been traveling out of state to get my hair done forever and now I have found an amazing place. Jessica was super deluxe. She cut my hair exactly how I asked, was so much fun, and even made plans for a fun color next visit. I left with a great new ‘do, a lesson in makeup, and money left in my wallet. Love this place.

I didn’t have an appointment, but when I walked into Lunatic Fringe they were able to set me up with one later that afternoon. I thought I just getting a simple wash and cut job, but they also offer tons of other services (and some of it’s free on your first visit). I got my shampoo in the «Lather Lounge” – a dimly light room within the salon. Maybe a little cheesy but actually pretty relaxing. I got a free deep conditioning treatment because it was my first visit, and also opted for the complimentary hand/​arm massage. I got my hair trimmed and layered, and then blow dried and styled. Mandi took great care of my hair and it was nice to be helped by another curly head. She understood what I wanted and how to make it happen, and checked with me every step of the way. I left with hair care recommendations, product samples and some info on their rewards program. Oh, and great hair. :-)
All told, my bill came to $ 45, which was more than I was planning to spend on a quick haircut. However, the Lunatic Fringe was very accommodating and I don’t get my hair cut often so… might as well treat myself! Time and money well spent.

I am writing this for my wife as she does not have a login id for Unilocal so for me to take the time to write this review, you have to know that this place is something special.
We have twin 8 year old girls who had first communion pictures on Friday and then were taking their first communion on Sunday. My wife commented that she was really impressed with the hair styling and service that Lunatic Fringe provided and that there is no way she could make the twins hair look so good on Sunday.
Upon hearing this, the owner of the business, Lisa, said. «Come on by Sunday and I will open up the Salon especially for you to give your girls a styling». Sure enough, my wife and girls headed to Lunatic Fringe bright and early on Sunday to be greeted by Lisa and one of her exceptional stylists, Sydney.
Being a guy, I don’t get caught up in all of this and my wife is a tough critic so when she told me I had to get on Unilocal and provide a review of Lunatic Fringe, she had to be dazzled.
Thank you Lisa and Sydney for making the girls hair look fantastic and for providing exceptional customer service by opening up just for the twins. My wife and daughters will be customers for life.

— $ 49 for a shampoo, cut, style, brow wax, and partial highlights — it was a package valued at nearly $ 200 — I couldn’t pass it up!
I was unfamiliar with the location, but found it easily with the GPS. The woman at the front desk greeted me warmly — offered to take my coat and asked what I would like to drink. I told her water would be fine — expecting a pint-​sized plastic bottle — but she returned with a glass bottle — fancy!
The woman doing all of my services for the day — Mandy (how about that!) was WONDERFUL! She was so sweet — took her time to listen to exactly what I was looking for. Onto what is most important — the Lather Lounge!!! Girls, if you have not experienced this, PLEASE go to Lunatic Fringe as quickly as possible. I’m telling you what — it was a magical moment!
The Lather Lounge is a dimly lit room with 7 – 8 sinks where the stylist washes your hair. However, every time you have your hair washed, you also receive an arm/​hand massage and a neck/​shoulder/​scalp massage. It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. I don’t know how long we were in there — it felt like years… but I was like putty in Mandy’s hands when we emerged! She even wrapped a warm towl around my face while she was doing the massages… oh my God, I’m daydreaming about it while I write this.
The entire appointment took nearly 3 hours, but I’m not complaining. It was the PERFECT way to pamper myself. Everyone there was so sweet — the other girls kept coming over to compliment my hair and ask how I was doing. Mandy never once pressured me to purchase any products, which I LOVE! She was happy to chat me up, but when things silenced down, it wasn’t awkward. I was able to facebook and text… or just sit back and close my eyes… without it being weird.
They have a rewards program — you receive a certain amount of points for different things — like checking in on facebook, scheduling your next appt before you leave, purchasing products, etc. Once you reach a certain amount of points, I believe you receive free product or a certain dollar amount off of your next service. They have pamphlets with tons of details!

WOW! All I can say is great. I had an episode with a color that was too dark from another salon and called in desperation. They got me right in, fixed the problem, had a wonderful out-​of this world shampoo/​head massage, a great conversation with my stylist and the other wonderful women in the salon. My cell phone was dead and the owner, Lisa, let me use hers while my hair was getting done. Also, they offer a make-​up touch up and offer great products! The price is just right and highly suggest them! Plus. if you need your fringe (bangs) trimmed in between appointments. it is free! Great concept. great salon!

I had the opportunity to meet two of their stylists Mandy and Toni at an event held this past month. It was a pleasure sitting down and talking about Lunatic Fringe. I look forward to using their services in the future as my own business allows the time to step out and pamper myself.
