I’m sure this is a great place, but our first time breakfast was just ok. My son ordered the cinnamon roll, it came out in a bath of icing, and he had to do surgery on it just to make it edible. I ordered the Kalamity Kate, and while it was tasty, it was far too rich for my taste. Service was great, but the coffee was tasteless. Hey breakfast place should really pride themselves on a nice cup of coffee. Not sure if we would go back, likely not unless there was a group of people heading there.

Wild Eggs has been a great edition to the Hamburg area brunch scene. Finally somewhere close to home I can go for a good breakfast! It’s not the most amazing food I’ve ever had, but it is damn good. I almost always go for the berry crepes, which has the perfect balance of sweetness and creamyness. The sauce is just perfect! It’s so hard for me to ever order anything else — I love them so much. Mostly recently, though, I got the eggs benedict with skillet potatoes. Everything about them was great, except for the actual eggs. The waiter even asked to confirm I would want them poached-medium, but these eggs were barely even cooked. The egg whites were mush to the point where they were difficult to eat. The food did still taste good, but this was an added challenge. Things can’t always be perfect, though; and poaching eggs is hard! I won’t hold it against them. If you want to try Wild Eggs, I recommend you come by on a weekday. On the weekends(unless you come at 6AM), I’ve always seen ridiculously long waits. On weekdays, you’ll get seated immediately.

Easy access to the interstate. A quick 20 minute trip to Hamburg if you’re coming from Georgetown. The Proud Marys(Bloody Mary’s) are on point. The breakfast tots have to be my new favorite side to boot. The hot chicken is HOT so if you need it toned down I recommend saying something to your waiter prior to ordering. The patio seating was perfect for today’s brunch as well.

This place is a home run. I usually get the Zax I Am Fried Eggs and… It’s your standard breakfast plate with meat, eggs and potatoes. I always add on a pancake because if you haven’t had one of their pancakes, you need to ask yourself what you’re doing with your life. They are phenomenal. They also have really quality Bloody Marys, which I’m quite picky about. Now for the negatives. They’re only open until mid-afternoon, which means no breakfast for dinner. And, because this place is so popular, it can be quite a long wait to get a table and get your food. The food’s so good we brave the crowds, but I wouldn’t even bother on a Sunday after church.

Wild Eggs does ‘Eggs Benedict’ very well and my latest visit earlier today was no exception. My server, Matt, was terrific and the speed of the kitchen was great. However, I do have two«knocks» against Wild Eggs after today’s visit. 1) The current price for a large glass of orange juice is now $ 5.99. I said… glass of orange juice, not a gallon of orange juice. $ 5.99 for one glass of orange juice is extremely off-putting from a consumer standpoint. I might expect such pricing if this was New York. But it’s not.(My fault for ordering it without checking the menu price. Trust me, I won’t order it again.) $ 5.99 is about the price of an alcoholic beverage in some places. I was not happy to discover how much it cost. 2) The Eggs Benedict comes with the option of grits or breakfast potatoes. I ordered breakfast potatoes – to which the server said, «Do you want tots or skillet potatoes?» So I said, tots.(Frankly, I didn’t know there was an option to the option.) When the bill arrived, there was an up-charge of $ 1.49 for the tots. WHAT? There was no mention that the tots were an additional charge when I was asked which I preferred. I find this practice of not informing customers that a particular option bears an up-charge to be very annoying, no matter which restaurant it is doing it. I would not have ordered tots had I known there was an additional up-charge. So I left today with a less than great feeling about Wild Eggs’ current menu prices based on this visit. Accordingly, I won’t be in any rush to return anytime soon. There’s simply too many other breakfast options in Lexington to pay premium prices for breakfast staples such as orange juice and potatoes.

We got here just before the morning rush on a Saturday! PHEW! We all tried omelettes, mine just had cheese but was awesome. Stepdaugher one had cheese and sausage, stepdaugher two had the Creole omelette, and SO had the buffalo chicken omelette. We were trying to stay on the healthier side so we skipped the sides like biscuits and hash browns, but everyone had something great to say about their omelette! Happy kids, happy life!

This 5 star review is purely based on one of the best bloodies I’ve had in Lexington. Absolutely delicious! Spicy, tangy, salty perfection. I’ll follow up with a good review, but even if it was terrible I would come back for the bloody! Ok, this review is staying at a strong 5 stars because everything was spot on. We ordered the Kalamity Katie, Belgium waffle, grits if the day(sausage, bacon, Swiss), and side of bacon. Service was fast, the food was beyond perfect, and the atmosphere was upbeat and understated. Perfect breakfast/brunch spot. A Bloody Mary will run you $ 8 and most meals are $ 10 – 13. Our total bill was around $ 46 + tip but we indulged in 3 bloodies :)

I found this little gem by chance on a road trip down to Tennessee. Elizabeth was our server and she has the personality and southern hospitality that makes you feel like family. I ordered Katie’s Kalamity, the presentation was very pleasing to the eyes! The taste… Each bite was like Disneyland in my mouth! I have never had such a different grouping of fresh flavors that went so well together! Everything was fresh and wonderful! The Chef came out and asked everyone how their food was. I will absolutely be back!

Service here could be much improved. I waited for 5 minutes or more in the lobby for someone to greet me and offer to take me to a table. I even had time to step outside and survey my options … Arby’s, no. McDonald’s, no. Outback, not really. Graeter’s, maybe. It might be worth mentioning that the place was dead when I arrived. Finally, I was greeted and seated. The waiter was either drunk or high. I wish they would train their waitstaff not to hand customers’ drinks with their bare hands on the rim of the glass. When I asked for a straw, I was handed a straw without a wrapper and guess what? His hands were on the end of the straw. I took my chances. It’s a shame. The food is fantastic. I have sampled nearly every item on their menu and nothing has been short of fantastic. The Kalamity Katie’s I had today was even more delicious than I remembered. They need to send corporate management to this location to right the wrongs. The kitchen is ON, but the waitstaff and local management seems to be on vacation.

Where has this place been all my life? The food is rediculously amazing and Service with Rikki was nothing short of the best experience at a resturaunt ever! Give her a raise! Hands down the best Chilaquiles I have ever had and that poached egg… perfectly executed! The Jalepano, cream cheese and bacon Grits not too spicy but a spoonful of heaven and a cup of coffee so good that should be reserved to an exclusive coffee shop! Also if you’ve had a rough evening you can have a mimosa or bloody Mary to help cure the ailment! Definately a place I need to be a regular at!

Little gem! The décor outside and inside are fun and eggciting,. Menu has a lot of great choices for all types of moods. Overall the service, and food was wonderful. I had their breakfast tamale, yum. We were recommended to Wild Egg by locals, and know why. If you haven’t been here, and reading this review, now is a good time to go.

Wild Eggs is really close to my home but I’ve only been here a few times. It’s really busy as well unless you get here early. 8:30 on a Sunday in early BTW and 9:30 is late and you will have to wait. Most all dishes from here appear to be really good. The group I was with all enjoyed their food and we had around 10 people. I went with the surfer girl omelette and it was great with sourdough toast and home fry potatoes. The morning sun can be a bit too much if you’re near a window but if you love the sun it’s probably for you. The service was good and the kitchen manager as well as the manger both checked on us to make sure out food was as expected. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a little more than your standard fast food or Waffle House experience.

Wild Eggs is a great little breakfast/brunch place located over in the Hamburg Area. It is quite small and is a very popular place on Sunday Mornings. The first time I have actually been to this specific store, and was impressed. As you enter, you are greeted and they have free complimentary coffee on the counter to enjoy or to help you wake up while you wait. This specific time we showed up with a group of 12 people. Please note Wild Eggs doesn’t take reservations, but they did say that 8:30 am on Sundays will be no problem seating as many people as needed when I called them the day before. They ended up scooting 3 tables for our small group and didn’t bat an eye. They were very friendly and accommodating. The waitress hopped to getting water for the table and our drink orders. Then double checked that everyone had their orders in before she placed it with the kitchen. That was very impressive. A few of us in the group asked her opinion on what to order, she was also quick to respond to that as well. I appreciate that greatly. I ordered a Kalamity Katie’s Border Benedict(after the waitress suggested it). It is a green chili cheddar corn cake, topped with chorizo(kind of like Mexican saussage), two poached eggs and queso fundido(cheese sauce), pico de gallo(salsa), sour cream, green onions and avocado. With skillet potatoes and an everything muffin. It was yummy. The manager and cook also came out during our meal to check on the food and how things were going. It was very nice of them for sure. I will have to stop in here more often now that I know this place is back here.

I loved my experience here. I was having a hard time deciding what to order and so the server suggested the«Kalamity Katie’s Border Benedict.» It was as if she read my mind… It was the perfect dish for me. First of all it includes some of my favorite ingredients like avocado, poco de gallo and chorizo, and second of all it’s just simply delicious with its complex combination of flavors. I think the dish just made the whole experience stand out. The side of poblano grits was pretty I of as well. I had a pomegranate mimosa as well but it was just overpriced for the small size of the drink.

Tried a couple of different dishes at Wild Eggs today so I thought I’d update my review. Called in a to-go order and picked it up around 8:30 am on a Sunday. The usual massive crowd hadn’t yet arrived so it was easy parking and I was able to get in and out quickly. We split two meals: the Crabby Patty Bennie and the Surfer Girl Omelette. We chose grits over the skillet potatoes. The omelette included fresh spinach, wild mushrooms, tomato, cream cheese, and onion and was topped with diced avacado, pico de gallo, sour cream and alfalfa sprouts. The fresh ingredients made this choice scrumptious, with my only complaint being lack of seasoning(lightly salting the contents of the omelette would solve this problem). Their version of Eggs Benedict gone seafood was another gratifying choice. The Crabby Patty Bennie is comprised of lump crab meat, fresh herbs, and poached eggs on the requisite English muffin with a lemon hollandaise. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the smooth hollandaise sauce complemented the crab nicely. The Grits of the Day had the added ingredients bacon, sausage, and cheddar jack, and while good could have used smaller pieces of bacon and more cheese. Wild Eggs continues to impress us and we will certainly be back!

Okay… so I go for breakfast and end up having a Yellow Submarine. It has scrambled eggs, cheese, ham and bacon. I suppose that is breakfast enough… and it was very good. A side of bacon and cheese grits was a nice addition. And if that wasn’t enough, a half order of biscuits and chorizo gravy. Hey… I was hungry! Everything was very good, including the service.

One of my favorite breakfast spots… Whenever my husband wants to take me to breakfast, this is what I choose, though I will say it isn’t his first choice… but we are dealing with a very picky eater! He gets pancakes and bacon so who can go wrong with that? But the homefries? Mmmmm mmmmm, they cook them with onions, I LOVE onions in everything! Eggs too! The eggs benedict is my favorties, so they have that to perfection! I have tried the ones with the crab and they are amazing as well. I tried the burrito, it was good, and I get why everyone likes it, but I am more of a light option breakfast kind of girl… so I think it was just too much for me, not bad, but not my favorite either! But I love this spot, really I do!!!

My husband and I are devotees of the Palomar location, and decided to see if this branch lives up. I won’t keep you all in suspense — it does! The wait is reasonable(20 minutes for 2 people during prime breakfast time) and passes quickly with a cup of free coffee. The ambiance is good eggy fun. And the food? Ohhhhhh the food. I like everything I’ve ever ordered or stolen from companions’ plates, and that’s got to be half of the menu… Today, I ordered the Bennies Gone Wild, a vegetarian Benedict with wild mushrooms and balsamic/hollandaise topping. Unfortunately, my order got a little lost in the shuffle, and I ended up with a Canadian bacon Benedict. Mistakes happen. Proper remediation rarely does. But as soon as I flagged a server, my plate was whisked away, I was left to chow down on some grits, and before I’d finished those my correct order was in front of me with a free extra side of potatoes, three apologies, and an offer of more complimentary grits! I was SUCH a happy camper. (P.S. My husband’s order, with several substitution requests, was perfect from the get-go…but I’ll leave it to him to Unilocal about it!)

I’ve written a review for the Wild Eggs location that we frequent in Louisville, and this location was, of course, very similar. I love Wild Eggs for brunch! Everything I’ve tried from the menu is amazing. The biscuits and gravy are typically my go-to order. They’re my favorite thing from the menu. But, recently I’ve been branching out on our visits and trying some other options. On this visit I ordered the Yellow Submarine sandwich. It was very tasty! The sandwich is served on a large toasted hoagie roll with scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo, and Habagardil pickle chips. I ordered mine sans tomato, red onion, and mayo. The pickle chips came on top of the sandwich, giving you the option to place them on it or eat them separately, which I really liked. They were super delicious! A bit spicy. Wild Eggs also sells jars of these pickles, if you decide you love them. In my opinion the sandwich is so large it could be shared. I only ate half. It doesn’t come with any sides, so I ordered the potato latke, which were fantastic. Overall it was a very satisfying meal for around $ 13.00. If you go to brunch on the weekend you’re probably looking at a significant wait(on this visit we waited approximately 35 minutes to be seated), but in my opinion it’s definitely worth it.
