I have been to The Pub in Lexington many times, and it never disappoints! Yesterday I was there for a girl’s group during Happy Hour and our server(Kristen) was very sweet and accommodating, as was the manager(?) Chris, who helped with logistics and seating. We sampled every appetizer, each as delicious as the last, although my personal favorites were the pimiento cheese with chips and goat cheese with pita bread… typical carbaholic. On prior occasions I’ve enjoyed wine flights(what a great idea!) and the shepherd’s pie. While The Pub is a chain, there are not that many locations, so don’t miss this great place!

Have been to The Pub several times and am just writing a review. The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. We find the best seat in the house is one of the booths by the bar. The Scotch Eggs and Belhaven Beer Cheese Platter are the best appetizers. The bars on tap are perfect for my liking. Our next trip to The Pub is to try the Bloody Mary bar on a Sunday. Definitely a Sunday afternoon place to chill for beverages and snacks.

One of my favorite places to get fish and chips. Service has always been solid. Atmosphere can’t be matched and location is preferred. Good parking available.

I have been to the Pub in my neighborhood many times and it is one of my favorite places to go for a dinner of comfort food in an ambiance of of British pub so I was looking forward to eating lunch here. I was very disappointed. Yes, you have the pub like furnishings and the same menu. The execution was poor. Start with the overly high volume American rock music blaring. Not having the scotch eggs available(one of their signature apps and a personal favorite) didn’t help. My shepherd’s pie was overly cooked. Overall, the Pub chain has a lot of very fun restaurants with good food, but this is not one of them.

Great place for post-movie drinks. I had the grapefruit basil martini, which was delicious! My friends liked their drinks for the most part, except the vanilla porter was very thin(apparently there is some special thing done to make this happen — it’s supposed to be smoother, and it is, but with a resulting watery taste.) Fried pickles and spinach dip were delightful, and I’d like to come back soon and try the«cheese bollocks».

We have only had beers from this place and never any food so I could only comment on the beer selection. They have a very decent beer selections on tap, friendly bar tenders, however the place is a little loud at times so if you are looking to catch up with your friends it might not be the best idea.

Speaking as one who has been in the food & beverage industry for 25 years(bartender/server/trainer/mgr.) The Pub seems to rely on the exterior /interior of the building as well as a few choice menu items for some of their repeat business(if not all). A world of difference would have been created if only my bartender greeted me promptly, checked back after my food arrived & asked if I wanted another beverage/dessert, etc… As one who has worked in Atlanta for 20 years, service aspect here in Lexington has been somewhat lax– from my point of view. No one city is «perfect» when it comes to overall restaurant experience– but for myself, I’d think there’d be more of a ‘wow’ experience here…#dissapointed

Wife and I just came, we ordered Pot roast tacos and a Belhaven burger. Service at the bar from Stefanie was GREAT! Burger was a touch under medium, but still delicious. The tacos were great. I’ll be back soon!

Great homey atmosphere, Great beer and bourbon selection. Food selection comprehensive great burger. Seated at patio Saturday night. Very cool and great music. Server(Jen) very knowledgable friendly and extremely efficient in providing recommendations. My wife ordered ahi tuna tacos exactly built to her taste. I had the burger. Even though the patio was very busy and hectic, the server made us feel like we were the only ones there. She was accurate in taking our requests(requesting no salt during the cooking process etc.) and patient. We would definitely comeback on future visits and we will request to be seated with the same server!

Food sub par… Salad had wilted lettuce, fried pickles were not crispy and the burger patty had no seasoning, but was just smothered in cheese. Waitress was rude and kept rolling her eyes as if she didn’t want to be there and was annoyed by us.

What a Happy Fourth of July!!! Shared the day with the Pub. Started with bear battered onion rings and mushrooms! Outstanding!!! 1 of us had a burger, very good, the other 3 including me had the Welsh Dip Pub Pretzel with au’ jus. Highly recommended!!! Clark was our waiter and took exceptional care of us!!!

Tonight the girls and I dropped by after the movies. We had three appetizers – wings, spinach and artichoke dip, and spring rolls. I like the atmosphere generally, but the service was really slow. The hostess seemed to not have time for us in a mostly empty restaurant. I have been here before when it was great, but three stars is all I can muster for tonight’s fare.

Wanted to try this place after driving by so many times. Ordered a fish sandwich and it was pretty good. A little greasy but that’s to be expected by a fried fish sandwich. My husband ordered the shepherds pie and it was delicious! Service was good and the place had nice décor.

Went there for lunch today and got the shepherds pie. Forgot to take a picture, sorry! It was very good, the gravy could have been thicker and the cheese on top was different but still good. Portion was also perfect, so no food coma when going back to work. Service was very good as well, overall no negatives so five stars!

$ 3.00 beers at Happy Hour. What’s not to like about that. While I loved my Belhaven Scottish Ale, a smooth creamy brew, the accompanying Happy Hour appetizers($ 3.95)did not impress. The black bean hummus had little flavor, the spinach artichoke dip OK, but not enough pita. The waitress was quick to offer more. I couldn’t fault the service as she seemed to be on top of things. I also ordered the Happy Hour wings, which were actually boneless pieces of chicken with blue cheese crumbles on the side. I had the wings with red curry sauce, OK and spicy enough, but too little to compensate for the dryness of the chicken. I think it’s an OK place for Happy Hour, especially the outdoor seating area in warmer weather. Good Happy Hour company always makes a difference.

We’ve been to many of ‘The Pub’s in KY and OH. They are great places for an informal lunch or dinner. I always ask what their ‘Toastie’ of the day is and usually order one. Yesterday at lunch the Toastie was turkey with an interesting glaze with raisins etc. It was an unusual choice but we split one and it was great. We did arrive with a car group that drive British Cars of all kinds with most of our members driving older MG’s, Triumphs, Minis both new and old and this year we had one London taxi in the group. Anyone interested in joining us should visit — We are a mixed group with some member who have been with the group for forty years! Anyway, we showed up with our English Bulldog but as expected, poor Libby was not allowed in the restaurant or even the patio area. One of the staff was very resourceful and found us a table near the rear gate to the patio and Libby enjoyed a nap in the shade by the gate and we sat, perhaps 3 – 4 feet away. It was a good compromise and I’m pleased that Libby was able to enjoy some of the scraps from our table. One disappointment was the mustard that was served with the Scotch Egg. I’m a real fan of The Pub’s Scotch Eggs and the mustard was simply too sweet. It certainly did not have the kick of a good English Mustard that we usually experience. If this was my first Scotch Egg, I would never have another. I’m not a beer drinker as the stomach surgery I’ve had requires me to stay away from all carbonated beverages. I don’t miss Coke and Sprite but I sure miss the occasional beer and the selection of beers at The Pub is great. I know this from my life before surgery. The staff is great, the food is fine. The Scotch Egg caused me to only give four stars.

Beer! It’s all about the beer! 20 pages of luscious beer of all make sand models. The pub, and yes it’s a pub, is beautiful. Very cool vide. I didn’t try much of the food other than the fries with curry sauce. I would pass on the curry next time. In short it’s a great beer pub with a fun vibe. Staff is very friendly and helpful. 5 star find for me.

I have been here a few times. The food is pretty good. The happy hour has great drink and app deals. You can check out their calendar for trivia nights and other events they do, especially St. Patrick’s Day. They have a cool outdoor seating area but it is closed during winter.

Great place to get a post roast! But I was disappointed to see that it was a smaller portion than usual and the sauce was not the rich darker color it used to be :{ We had taken a friend to eat there and of course I raved over the pot roast. Sadly I was embarrassed that it was not like it used to be for my friend. However my Welsh Pub Pretzel sandwich was the same and really hot and delicious. I wish they would bring back my old pot roast. Where will I go now?
