The company I work for had the privilege of hosting our eighth corporate event with Malone’s Banquets on July 22, 2015. We have been hosting events here since 2008, and have not been disappointed. The Private Dining Director, Jamie Cawood is extremely helpful, proactive and professional. She made every part of the planning process smooth and enjoyable. The entire staff was attentive to our needs, and made sure that the event was a success for our clients. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and our clients feedback echoed this sentiment. We look forward to many more events at Malone’s.

This evening I attended a pharmaceutical presentation at Malone’s Banquets. Honestly, the food was so amazing it was honestly hard to focus on the presentation. They provided as an appetizer the most enormous shrimp I have ever seen and artichoke dip with some very unusual but delicious tortilla chips– almost the consistency of the wonton wrapper from crab rangoon. There were a large variety of entrees to choose between(about 8 – 10). I opted for the prime rib(medium rare) with a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad dressing was definitely made in-house; very fresh and still retained that delicious fishy taste most Caesar salads lack. The prime rib was amazing. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, delicious. A little fatty, but it comes with the territory on prime rib. No complaints. It came with some red potatoes and mixed veggies that were goods, but next to that steak, I mean, who cares. They may as well be garnish. They also provided an open bar, with what seemed like infinite choices. The waitstaff was very accommodating, even preparing an off-menu vegetarian plate to order for a vegetarian customer. If there is another event here anytime soon, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The banquet rooms are upstairs, above Sal’s. If you don’t know exactly where, no worries because there will be a hostess when you first walk through the spinning door and into Sal’s and she will point you in the direction up the steps. I personally have never booked it for a group but I’ve been to countless events. Some events are located in a small banquet room with about ten seats. They create a small menu with from choice of an entrée, which is usually medallions, sirloin, salmon, fettuccini and a few other choices. Today I chose the crab cake, I don’t recommend it. It was too greasy. The potatoes that accompanied it made up for it though, not to mention the Lexingtonian wedge salad, rolls and pecan dessert. The open bar buffet style events are the best. If I ever have an event there, that’s what you, my friends will get. The staff is always top notch. I always see the same lady at the top of the steps, welcoming and very professional.
