Comfort Suites

It was nice having a suite, the room was large enough for the family.
When we had a request, it was fulfilled right away.
The workout room was well-​equipped, but the machines either had water or sweat down the sides of them and needed to be cleaned.
Breakfast was provided and it was good, but the coffee was terrible.
Overall, it was a nice place to stay and the service was good.

I stayed here during a recent business trip to Lexington as it came recommended by my client and was close to the locations I would be visiting. I arrived early — a couple of hours before normal check in time, but they were able to accommodate me and get me in my room. Kudos as I needed to head to the location and would be there until 8:00 pm that evening.
The staff was extremely friendly — I think people in the South have a very different outlook and attitude from those of us who live in NOVA. Very refreshing. At any rate free hot breakfast in the morning and a manager’s reception with complimentary wine, beer and appetizers in the evening. Pity my hours did not allow me to partake in either, but a nice gesture on the part of this establishment.
All rooms here are mini suites. My room was plenty roomy, with a small sitting area separated from the bed. It had all the expected amenities; mini fridge, microwave, flat screen, small coffee station, etc. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. No complaints. The parking lot was well lighted with plenty of space. I can’t speak to the quality of the wifi as I had no occasion to use it this trip.
Lexington is by no means a large town, but there were some options for grabbing a bite nearby and I was close to a small, cute downtown area that unfortunately seemed to be closed once I finished work for the day. The nightly rate for the mini suite was quite reasonable and even the items I picked out of the convenience bar near the front desk were not overpriced — bottles of water for only $ 1. Should I have to return to Lexington, I would stay here again.

I quite enjoyed staying at the Comfort Suites. The place was clean, staff was friendly and the price was right. I loved the fact that each room is a suite with everything you would need during a stay. Ignore the fact that it says it is closed, the place is up and running. The pool was a saving grace as the heat was killer during our stay. I will be back…
