I have been here 2 times now. The food is decent, but nothing that stands out. The staff is very friendly. The parking is difficult and you need to know where you are going. The big down side to this place that irks me is the lack of sanitary conditions by the staff. There is a window into the kitchen and both times I have seen them doing or touching things that I wouldn’t want to have them touch my food afterwards. I am not much of a fan of them touching doors with gloves on with the same hands that are used to decorate my salad. The good thing about this place is the specials are pretty good.

Love it here, great sandwiches and meatloaf. I’ve eaten here 3 times and nothing has been disappointing. The staff is warm and welcoming, it feels almost like I’m eating one of moms meals at home. The owner is also(I think) the head chef and she likes to walk around and ask how your meal was. Best of all it’s reasonably priced and quicker service than you would expect for«home cookin».

Excellent restaurant. Stopped by for lunch at noon on a week day and there was plenty of seating. Service was fast, friendly and accurate. The food was great and reminded me of home cooking. Prices were average and all in all, I thought it was a great value. I’ll be back.

I love this place. I want to live here and eat their fresh homemade cole slaw every single day. The staff is fabulous, the food is to-die-for and the service is super fast. Frankly I can’t even find anything to complain about(which for me is kind of surprising) and I hope it always stays this way. Open a second Mixing Bowl but put it in my living room would you?

Just left lunch… absolutely delicious! Attentive and friendly staff. Not to sound rude to other restaurants in the area, but most of the mom and pops joints are a little dinguly. I was shocked at how CLEAN the establishment wasn’t. I have the Cobb salad and the tortilla soup. So good! Pot pie was a close second as the table next to ours had it. It looked perfect! I strongly suggest that you swing into this hidden gem. U won’t be disappointed:)

This was my first time going here, friend recommend and after checking out the reviews I figure I give it a shot. I ordered the salmon sandwhich. The menu is not updated. It said coleslaw was supposed to come and instead you get an Asian inspired cucumber salad, which was pretty good. The salmon was ok, it wasn’t dry but it felt greasy and lacking in flavor. I got the pumpkin cheesecake and that was so yummy!!! The menu is all over the place with salads Italian food, America food and sandwhiches. All made by a little Asian lady, she seemed nice, we did not formally meet. There are no hours posted in the store or on their website. I’ve heard from many people they try and stop in and every time it’s closed. I would go again and try something else or at least get dessert. It is kinda pricey for what you get. My water, salmon sandwhich and pumpkin cheese cake it was $ 17. Most of the sandwhiches and salads cost $ 10. The desserts start at $ 5 a slice.

I go here for lunch a few times every few months with friends, and we always enjoy it. The food comes out quickly, and the owners and staff are friendly. I always get the Oriental Salad, which is delicious and so filling. Also, try their carrot cake! It is hard to find, but with a good and fairly inexpensive lunch experience, I’ll definitely(continue to) be a returning customer!

Not sure why it took me so long to try this joint out! I was very impressed with the menu. I ordered ‘no bull’ – I think was the name of the sandwich – and it was great! The service was friendly and helpful. The décor was weak, it didn’t leave any impressions with me. I will a say its hard to find unless you specifically get directions from somebody. All-in-all it was a great experience and do plan on going back sometime.

Nice service, but one small step up from a greasy spoon. Gave this place two tries don’t think I’ll make it a third. Don’t order any fish here either. Simple sandwich with zero creative expectation and you’ll be safe.

My friends and I met for lunch today and most of us were unhappy with our food. We’ve met here a few times over the years and, for the most part, have enjoyed what we were served. Today was different. One friend ordered the chile which was tasteless. One ordered the cheesesteak sub and ate about ¼ of it before realizing the meat in the middle was raw. I ordered the Big Bird chicken pita which was over-cooked and dry. And another enjoyed her shrimp salad but was rather shocked at being charged $ 12 for what amounted to a plate of greens with a half dozen or so medium shrimp and some dressing. A rather disappointing meal. I’m giving 2 stars for their willingness to remove the charge for the raw sandwich and for the varied menu. The service, normally good, wasn’t so good today, so no stars for that. I hope today was just an off day for them.

For whatever reason this place is hit and miss lately. I got the curry special and it was good. My co-worker got the Cobb salad and the blue cheese dressing which was not blue cheese so she opted for ranch and the ranch was not good either. Supposedly they make their own dressings in-house and even the waitress said they weren’t good today, Really so why serve it, it’s a salad not filet mignon.

Located right by Gate 2 of the PAX River Naval Air Base this is a good spot to go get lunch. They have quite a varied menu so its easy to find something you’ll enjoy. the food has been good as has the service.
