I had very high hopes for this place since the reviews are so high. This pizza is not at all as we expected. The New York style thin crust isn’t very thin at all. The pizza was very undercooked and extremely greasy. As a Texan, I always ask for ranch and I didn’t receive any. Wasn’t charged for it either, but didn’t receive it. Also when we contacted the store to tell them, their solution was to pick up the pizza and provide us with a refund. Didn’t even offer a solution. Looks like we won’t be ordering from them any longer. Poor customer service, extremely greasy pizza where it drops and puddles on the plate, along with under cooked dough, No THANKYOU. the grease is leaking out of the box. Photos to follow. Just called to ask for a refund and he guy that answered the phone said they’d take the pizza back, but wouldn’t provide a refund unless there’s something wrong with it. Look. As a consumer. Refund me my money. This is disgusting. Review changed to one star because of horrible service.

Oh Carmine’s. Never leave me. Usually, places that deliver don’t taste good enough to put a smile on your face. But I’ve found it! A restaurant that sends someone to hike up 3 flights of stairs to deliver me piping hot, seasoned spaghetti, and crisp salad with extra(amazing) dressing. Great service; whatever system they use to know my name/number/address(caller ID on steroids?) and my last order, I appreciate it. One of the delivery guys said my neighbor orders at least once/week. I think I’ve gotta jump on that bandwagon.

ORDERWITHCAUTIONANDCHECKYOURFOODBEFOREYOUWASTEMONEY… So just called to speak with the manager on the small portion size of lasagna i received last night and was basically called a liar saying he highly doubts my lasagna slice was small even after i mentioned taking a picture. I ordered delivery from there once before the portion size was perfect and seemed the correct amount for the price however this time my hand is drastically bigger then the little piece of lasagna i received, which was a dinner portion. there was more grease and oil then anything. «Manager» or «owner» and i use that term loosely thought it was a joke because of the laughter he had in his voice. Also ordered chicken parm which had maybe a 4 oz piece of chicken which was mostly breading. Not worth the price the food is greasy and basic and they clearly have no clue how to handle customer comments in a respectable manner… It really takes alot to piss me off because i work in the service industry and tend to only complain when i legitimately feel that I’ve been screwed and this place takes the cake. Will never eat there again and will tell everyone i know about the horrible experience, basic food and incompetent«manager» not even offering an apology but instead implying that i was lying. Coming from restaurant management myself i have one word to describe this place. PATHETIC… I will throw away all take out menus from this place at my job as well to insure they lose that business too… As you can see i rarely make reviews so this is a legitimate complaint!!! Get it together!!!

Below average food but the service was decent. The garlic knots were too doughy. Not garlicky enough. The spaghetti was overcooked and the sauce was boring. The pasta was probably par cooked a while ago. The meatballs were actually good. The pizza definitely wasn’t NYC style. The docking was bad and the dough didn’t rise. There was serious gel line. This gave the pizza an undercooked doughy texture. Again, the sauce was boring. However, the meatball and Italian sausage toppings were good. If they can get a few things fixed they could be solid 4 star. Unfortunately those few things are the hardest to fix. Won’t RTE.

Was on a business trip and wanted some NY style pizza. I’ll admin that I’m somewhat of a pizza snob having grown up in the northeast. Went here on the recommendation of Unilocal reviews. Had jalapeño poppers with cream cheese for an appetizer and they were hot and good tasting. Had 2 slices of pizza, 1 with zuchini and 1 plain. The nice thing was that the slices were huge. The taste was ok. The sauce needed some pizzazz and was somewhat bland. That is the key ingredient to make pizza stand out, otherwise it is just cheese and bread! Can’t say I would go there again since the taste was just ok. I will probably look elsewhere.

Simply okay. Standard lasagna and spaghetti, strong red sauce with bell pepper flavor. Food probably a 2, but service was good, so a 3 overall.

I just accidentally had the best pizza I have ever tasted at Carmine’s Pizzaria in Lewisville. I dropped off my Verizon boxes at the UPS store and realized it was 2:00 and I was HUNGRY! I went into the closest eatery — Carmine’s — and asked for something quick with a lot of meat. I ordered 2 slices with tea. About 7 minutes later my lunch was served. Two of the largest, cheesiest, heaviest slices I have ever seen. It was impressive to look at, but I was shocked with the flavor! The crust was perfectly thin and crispy and I could barely distinguish three different meats because the mozzarella cheese was so thick. I recognized the thick sliced Italian sausage, the pepperoni, and the Canadian bacon, and overlooked the hamburger. I am a little embarrassed to admit that I finished both slices, they were so big. I ate a large pie from Paulios by myself after church yesterday much easier than these two slices, and it was not even close to being as satisfying. I asked for the name of the pizza as i left so I could repeat the experience. Naturally, it was the Meat Lovers. Give Carmine’s a try — it’s New York style and my new favorite pizza.

I’ve been ordering from this establishment for a few years now and have NEVER been disappointed! I LOVE their chicken fettuccine Alfredo and garlic knots. I always make sure to get a cannoli for dessert!!! They are always so kind and when ordering delivery, yes, it does take a while but it is so totally with it! For any of the naysayers about this place, keep on because that means there’s more for me.

I decided to give this place a try because I wanted to try something different, I was starving, and had received a flyer on my door. Normally I order pizza from the bigger chains like Dominos, Pizza Hut, or Papa John’s. I placed an order for delivery last night. We ordered the Famous White Pizza, garlic knots, Greek salad, and the Tiramisu. I don’t have one single complaint about the service I received over the phone or the quality of the food once it was delivered. Everything was outstanding! My 7 year old LOVED the pizza, garlic knots, and the salad.(The Tiramisu was allll mine) I don’t think she even realized she was eating zucchini. She hates onions but she was ripping the salad to shreds! Delivery took an hour which is about normal, from my own experience with smaller places, but once the food arrived we dug in and were pleasantly surprised and really pleased. I can totally tell everything was house made and fresh. The food was piping hot and delicious. I’m sold. I’ll be ordering again and hope I have this experience every time.

Great place to take the family out for lasagne, chicken Alfredo, tasty salads and the pizza is great. I loved my Stromboli. It is a very casual place but everything was hot and fresh. The kicker is these folks are locally owned and members of the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce. I believe it’s a BYOB place and they also deliver. If you want a taste of the old country give them a try.

Stumbled into this place and so glad we did. Their meat lovers pizza was the bomb! Two orders of the garlic knots hit the spot too!

Food was ok to below average. Skimpy on the toppings. but thats not the only reason I won’t go back. After i ate, an employee working there came around in Slayer pentagram t-shirt with anti Christian imagry/theme on front and«I am your enemy» on the back. On ash Wednesday. Seriously. Can you say tone deaf? So, yeah — unprofessional, unwelcoming dress code standards. He was polite, but being friendly while wearing a purposefully offensive shirt doesn’t earn a pass with me. Seems like weak trolling shtick to me, so I’m out. If you don’t care and they’re your only option, their food is ok. If such things to matter to you, steer clear. UPDATE: Their employee reached out to me, which is nice; but I wouldn’t change my rating. Lunch didn’t impress. I only bring up Carmine’s dress code because such things matter to me.

Visited this place for the first time this week. I loved the pizza and normally don’t like thin crust but this thin crust was delicious! Will definitely be going back!

1 «huge» slice of pizza, salad or garlic knots and a drink for $ 5 bucks?! Yes! And when they say huge, they mean huge. I’ve never seen a slice of pizza so big in my life. I was more than full when I left, but the quality and taste left me wanting more. It’s official … no more Domino’s for me!

The Pizza was super greasy. The food was way way to expensive for a nasty greasy pizza. The only thing I liked was the Garlic Knots. We ate inside, The forks looked like they have not been washed good enough. I love pizza. But this pizza I got to say is the worst I’ve had. It was just way too much grease on every bite. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great comfort food. Staff is nice and the food is rich and what you would expect from a down home little pizza joint. It’s just really expensive for a little hole in the wall… But doesn’t stop us from going there. If you’re in the mood for some hearty Italian food you’ll be happy but it ain’t cheap like it looks.

I drive out of my way for this pizza. I love it. I usually go for a slice or two and they are always perfect. The salad is always wet and a little lack luster, but at least you know they clean the lettuce. The cannoli is also delicious. Also one of the few places around town that still serves gnocci. Theirs is tasty, especially with their pesto sauce.

Dis. Gust. Ing. I just ordered delivery for the first time from here. Will never ever do so in the future. It was slimy and greasy. It made me sick to my stomach. My fiancé took a bite and promptly spit it out. I called for a refund and was accused of trying to steal pizza. He wanted me to leave the uneaten pizza on the porch. So they could pick it up. What?! Seriously. I wouldn’t feed the homeless that«pizza». You give new york pizza a bad name. And your service is crap. Never. Again.

My husband and I are pizza lovers.(My husband especially loves NY style.) And we are always on the hunt for a great non-chain pizza joint. We came home from work one day to find a menu stuck to our door for Carmine’s. We looked over the menu and thought it looked promising, so we decided to give it a try a few days later. We ordered a large pizza, ½ cheese and ½ supreme. We also got an order of garlic knots, because many reviewers recommended them. We both thoroughly enjoyed both types of pizza and the garlic knots. The pizza was flavorful and the garlic knots practically melted in my mouth. My only real complaint was the marinara dipping sauce that came with the knots. It tasted different than the pizza sauce and neither of us was super crazy about it. Luckily, they were tasty enough to stand on their own, without sauce. I will also add that we re-heated the leftovers in the oven for lunch the next day and it was just as good the next day.(Not always the case with NY style pizza.) We will definitely be ordering again!

I happen to be in the Lewisville area today and happened upon Carmine’s. That was after passing up about seven taco places. By the reviews, this place appears to be a good one. I also wish I had tried the pizza. I hold pizza to very high standards. It was cold out and I wanted something warm to eat and a chicken parm sandwich did the trick. The place had the feel of a good Italian restaurant with the usual«touches» to make it seem like almost every Italian place I went to growing up. My chicken parm came nice and hot, with a pepperoncini and hot cherry pepper on the side. A nice toasted roll is a good start. Good sauce, good cheese and tasty chicken. So yeah, it worked for me. I will eventually make it back to try this pizza that people rave about in reviews here. They have some good lunch specials, which I didn’t notice(or I might have gotten something else). A stromboli or calzone with a salad and drink $ 7.99, lasagna, spaghetti & meatballs, or gnocchi with salad and garlic knots $ 6.99(M-F 11 – 4) or some pizza specials, one slice with topping, salad and drink $ 5.49 or two slices with topping, salad and drink for $ 7.99. Not bad deals. Enjoy.
