Good food, good drinks, the wait wasn’t bad at all, even though others have reported long waits. Why not 5 stars? They just seem a little pricey for the area.

Good selection of regional brews. Had a great fish sandwich. Was somewhat cramped space-wise, but the service was good!

Absolutely delicious food and frat service! Tuna, guac, crab cakes and quesadillas all to die for! So excited to have found this! Thanks Unilocal!

We made the mistake of going to the chameleon at 9:30 when the kitchen closed at 10. The waitress seemed bitter as if she didn’t want us there. She wasn’t able to tell me anything about the local beer selection. She swept around us in between trips to our table and while we ate. My daughter’s quesadilla cheese was not melted at all and I paid $ 8 for a tiny bowl of salsa and a basket of tortilla crumbs. I regret not sitting at the bar because the bar tender seemed more interested in helping us out. Good beer selection; lousy experience.

Meh. Extremely limited food menu. House smoked salmon was decent as long as you like smoke more than salmon. Solid draft beer selection. The list on the board was a little tough to decipher with no other info provided other than ABV. The printed one had styles at least, but wasn’t accurate in relation to what was on tap at the time. At the very least, highlight local options! Service was quick and bartender was able to provide more info on each beer. Food was reasonably priced, but not interesting at all. Based on what’s on offer, I don’t think the kitchen features a fryer which is odd for this restaurant genre.

Only one or two items on menu are worth it the price. Tuna app and guacamole, everything else is below mediocre. Good beer selection but over priced. Staff only pay attention to the regulars.

Some of the food is really great: table-side guacamole & seared ahi tuna… but the rest of the food is just really overpriced. If the price came down I would expect the perception to become that they have great food. The beer selection is decent. I seem to find newer beers at Lewisburg hotel though, but they don’t have as wide a selection. The servers are all really nice but I think some are inexperienced, which can be irritating if u don’t have patience. They have liquor there but it is limited & out of sight. It’s best on ½ price guac nights. A very fun time.

Slow service, very mediocre food– maybe one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had to eat. Wanted to order a second beer, but was told the keg kicked and I couldn’t get one. A $ 63 tab for three ¼lb burgers, a basket of Tostitos, two cups of soup, an iced tea, two sodas and ONE beer. Terrible!

This bar is a gem in Lewisburg! I love coming here to get away from the college scene at Bull Run or Towne T. It is usually never crowded. They have some local beers on draft, IPAs… but I usually get a couple of gin and tonics, so I’m not too verse on their selection. The bartenders are so sweet and nice. Looking forward to coming back again.

Enjoy the bar and avoid the food. Yes we came in at 8:45 but based on the Unilocal reviews and the hours of the location, didn’t expect that to be a problem. Be warned the kitchen closes earlier and they are pissed if someone comes in late in their shift. This is both for the wait staff and kitchen staff. I was almost afraid to eat it fearing they spat in the food. They have a very limited menu so you would expect each to be decent, but for the two of us it was the worst fish tacos and worst pasta meal we have had in a LONG time. Beer selection is great and bartender was great which saves this from a one star, and giving them an excuse for crappy service and food as we snuck in under the gun of the kitchen closing at 9pm on a Wed.

Great place to grab a beer and enjoy the atmosphere. The benches can be a little hard to sit on for a long period of time, but I guess you can just drink more beer. I have had the guacamole, which I think is the best in town and the quesadilla with chicken was tasty. My vote for the best Mexican style food inside and out of town.

Great place for a draft. Ambiance is dark and cozy, perfect for a quiet night. Food is better than what you would expect for a tavern.

Perfection in a glass, seared tuna app to die for, and an unbelievably creamy portobello soup. Delish! I keep coming back!

I LOVE this bar. The haVe great good and have live music. They also have the best selection of beers anywhere in Lewisburg. Every time I go there I get the guac because they come to your table and make it right there for you. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Before I graduated from Bucknell this was my go to spot for dinner or to bring a date. It’s never completely packed and the staff is super nice. Definitely come here. If you don’t you’re missing out.

I was in the area for work and wanted to grab a quick bite between appointments and used« Unilocal» to see what was available. I always enjoy a good draft house, so I decided to give the Smiling Chameleon a try. Beer selection was really good. However, I believe they had to many of one style… that being IPA… which made up at least 6 of the 20 or so beers on tap. Keep in mind a couple of things though. Many draft houses and bars have multiple IPAs on tap because it is a popular style and truth be told they can be very different even though they are in the same style. Secondly, they are rotating taps and could be very different the next time your in. Food was average. I ordered the quesadila because I knew it would be quick. It was good but not great. Smokey salsa was really good though. I would have loved to try the guacamole, which is table made and a specialty, but could not bring myself to pay 10 bucks for guacamole and chips. Service was friendly and the place had a good pub feel. Overall it was OK and I will go back to try more of the menu.

1 star for serving beer and 1 star for serving chips and salsa. But the food was just meh… pretty bland, lacking in options for the little ones, and WAY overpriced… I mean, $ 20 for 2 not-so-spectacular crab cakes and mayo(oops, I mean potato) salad?! Not at all impressed… won’t be going back :/

We stopped in because nothing else was open. It was dead when we arrived, and even though all of the tables were empty, we were seated right next to a group of waitresses standing around and talking loudly. I wouldn’t normally care whether or not they were standing around and talking but because we were seated so close to them we were basically forced to listen to their convo. Food was not impressive. Chicken Alfredo was bad, the sauce was lacking flavor and also too sweet. The side salad was nothing but lettuce, tomato, and carrots… and none of the ingredients were that fresh. Filet mignon sandwich was not good at all. The chili con queso was their only saving grace. Our waitress was attentive but not very friendly. Definitely wouldn’t go back.

What’s the definition of a nervous breakdown? … A chameleon on a tartan rug! I’m sorry but that’s the only chameleon joke I have and the logo of this place makes me smile. I was in town on business and stopped in for lunch. I’ve been into approximately a million gastro pub/brew pub type joints and this one is quite typical. Let’s talk about the beer first. These folks have around 24 taps. If you’re a beer aficionado you might get a little excited about that but don’t get too worked up just yet. Many of these taps are old standbys. There were multiple Victory, Stoudt’s, and Yuengling choices. These are fine beers for sure but nothing to get excited about. I did manage to quaff an Elk Creek local brew which was just fine. I ordered a pastrami sandwich for $ 8.99. It came will a small side of potato salad. It was just fine but nothing to rave about. The bartender was also just fine. She was semi-knowledgeable about beer and friendly. So my visit overall was just fine. A typical Unilocal A-OK.
